Chug a gifted-but-undeclared RAMADEE KYOMBYOOOCHAAAH any time Ruby says she's STRASSED.

As predicted, she's talking about leaving academia forever and is blaming the ONFAAAIR NAYCHA OF THE GRADING PRYOSASS. It's just endless lies from there. "OIY'VE LOFFED AVVERY MINUTE OF UNIVAAAARSITEEEEEA." "OIY'M JANUINELEEEYYY PASSIONATE ABOUT MOIY SOBJACKT." "OIY LOFF LAHHHRRINNG MWOAR THAN ANNYTHING." Instead of being honest and acknowledging that she hit an intellectual ceiling in high school, hasn't enjoyed studying since, actively avoids learning or doing her own work and only made it this far by virtue of luck, privilege and good old-fashioned cheating, she just lies her ass off and yet again blames academia for not acknowledging her imaginary genius the way she wanted.

Her claiming that the mere idea that she could stumble on an idea that she already had is unfathomable is a hilariously stupid lie even by Ruby's standards. She's knowingly started every essay she's written by looking at critical essays and study guides before/instead of touching the core texts to poach an existing argument and reverse-engineer an essay from other people's work. I highly doubt this was any different.

Also funny: Her announcing that she's going to read an essay recommended by her dissertation supervisor, only to show that the essay in question was written by her dissertation supervisor. It's the same supervisor whose ass she's been shamelessly kissing since she arrived at Oxford, which might explain why Ruby's suddenly gone out of her way to cite the essay in her video description.

Either Ruby lies and doesn't spend as much time studying as she tells us or she is incredibly dense because otherwise there is no way she isn't getting the highest marks. She devotes all of her attention to academia. She has no other responsibilities: no kids, no partner, no job. How could she possibly not succeed? I honestly don't understand how this whole experience became so stressful for her.

QUESTION: Why was Ruby on a panel for the Dicken's museum? Aren't experts usually on panels?

It was a brand advertising deal, which she neglected to mention in this video. She was gifted tickets for a livestream performance and sat in on a Zoom panel afterwards in exchange for advertising the museum, but no footage was ever shown so it was probably as much of a disaster as her other public speaking events.

My favourite Ruby lie this video was that she couldn't get an essay overnight delivered to Oxford, the educational capital of the world and a major city within easy driving distance of London, but she could easily get it delivered to Bone Manor, which is located in a field only 20 minutes away.

Also, the most socialisation Ruby's done all year is eat half a gifted donut in a coffee shop, but the week her essay is due she's got a million and one social events on she simply cannot miss. Queen of productivity? More like queen of procrastination. If she'd stuck her head any further in the sand the Earth's core would have given her a concussion.

I think the reasoning behind why she was going to all these events right before her dissertation due date is maybe because she has definitely subconsciously (at least) given up. I mean, we've only heard snippets about what her dissertation is really about, and from that jumbled mess of a video of her being secretive about her dissertation and from this video showing us her still looking for sources 4 days before the due date, its clear that she is not gonna do well on this dissertation. If she does, I'll honestly be shocked. She's either gonna be failing or at the very least get a low pass.

She's clearly panicking about it considering she brought a copy of her dissertation to a bleeping outing with friends.

She also discusses how even if you have a "good argument" it can be "received in a way that you didn't expect." She's definitely gonna make a future video where she blames her dissertation supervisor and marker (are they the same person?) for her awful grade instead of seeing what she could have done better on this dissertation.

I just had to look at this vlog after the comments. I'm so sad to learn that Ruby is perhaps not going any further in academia. What a loss to the literary field to have a generational talent leave!

Takeaways from her latest vlog.

1. She sounds sick. Cold, stuffy, hoarse voice. A few very unclassy snorty sniffs. Just gross. Reminds me of her filthy home and PC screen.
2. Complains she is stressed out and it is countdown time, but still seems more interested in her planner, her note taking, breathing fresh air, going to last minute social events, realizing she missed out on everything.
3. Pure panic as she is trying to find 3 books she needs, on the last few days before handing in her dissertation. Why is she waiting for the last minute to get it done? Deadlines are only deadlines. You can finish it earlier. You don't have to run around like a chicken with its head cut off on the last few days!
4. Completely confuddled. Says she has only 2 days and whips up saying 3 days on the screen. Do you not know what day it is, in spite of your 5 thousand planners, tech devices and calendars? I mean....girl.
5. Is seriously pathetic whenever she tries to be philosophical about basic knowledge in life.
6. I just don't understand the major avoidance in this entire vlog, or for that matter, the entire year at Oxford. She panics about being stressed and having to finish her paper, but is concentrating on social media, going to balls and socials. This would be valuable "writing your paper" time, but she has to be so disinterested in her Masters and doing so poorly that she just couldn't give a fig about it at this point. Really strange and certainly not inspiring to the hardworking scholars of the world.
7. I cannot believe she said Mary; Queen of Scots was Elizabeth's sister. omg I mean, if she was tired and said it in the heat of the moment, making a mistake, fine. But this is a voice over, plenty of time to correct, edit, etc., your mistakes. She seriously is studying this time period and she doesn't even know the correct relationship between the two? Talk about embarrassing. I wonder if she referred to them as sisters in her paper? Oops! Too late now! lol
8. Why? Why is she working on her intro the day before turning it in? Why is she so desperately behind? I don't understand any of this.
9. At the end she isn't even reading that paper. Just another lie. She stares at the exact same place and I find it pretty hard to believe she got up at 2am, set up her camera, to sit down and re-study a paper. Um, no.
10. Last thoughts? She is sinking fast! When does she find out her grade, because I can't imagine it will be a particularly shiny one.

The timeline has been out of whack and lazy all year. She'd already posted a video of her skulking around empty libraries the week after handing in her dissertation, as well as a room tour as she's hastily pulling tit apart because she's leaving in two hours, before this video.

I think she left this one to curdle a bit before posting because she needed to gauge the situation and have a more realistic idea of how well she'd done, so she knew which direction she wanted to take her monologue -- whether it was going to be a pro or negative approach to her chances of continuing in academia. So it doesn't look like she isn't continuing because she did poorly, but that it was a decision that she made before getting her results.

Alas, it was negative.

Again, the sound volume in the video is horrible. I couldn't hear what she was mumbling about but then the music and the voiceover would blast out.

Also I hate how she insists on drawing little stars herself, make the designer wait for her to send the said little stars, just so she could say that she designed, or co-designed the planner. Just tell the designer what you would like to see on the planner, seriously. Or send your stupid stars right away from the start and tell them to use it?

Also, is it me or around the 8 minute mark, she sounds and looks like she cried a bit? And at 13 minute mark when she says how your argument can be understood in another way, her voice cracks, I honestly thought she was going to cry. There is a girl in my class who has been, for various reasons, having it hard, and that's exactly how she sounded during the finals, always on the verge of crying.

She claims to love academia yet looks so miserable. The lift she loves filming in appears in a better mood than her.

All the chat about grades and essay pressure defo signals failure in her dissertation. Not that I would wish anyone to fail. I think she needs to grow up and appreciate other things in life.
