sorry for double commenting but her comment section is absolute bonkers.
I will riot if the next thread isn't called "pedantic book sniffer"

New video!

---
"I never used to wake up early and even if I did, I would never go outside..."
How can she say this after showing us her 482985 different early morning routines? 🤥

Room tour video is up! For someone claiming to be so dedicated to an aesthetic, Roobee is either half-assing it or genuinely has no idea. Remember how she mentioned how people were plotting their writing projects on post-its on their walls on Pinterest and she wanted to recreate that?

i feel like its time we let our ropes lose a little bit, We doubted she would get a first in her bachelors because she is "so dumb", she ended up getting a first. Last 9 months on this forum has been how she will fuck up her Masters, she got a distinction. The bar is not on the ground, maybe she is horrible in many other ways but maybe we should finally consider that she is academically smart and knows how to play the ground.

A new photo of Blakeney everytime she opens her phone set as her lockscreen...I don't even know what to comment on that. There's so much to say.

I just hope that regardless of the nature of their relationship or Ruby's feelings that it's mutual and Blakeney also has a similar set up on her phone for Ruby too, cause otherwise I can't imagine anybody being comfortable with that.

I’m finding her use of ”as per” just infuriating for some reason, and I can’t quite articulate why. It just comes across as facetious, with a heavy sprinkling of ”OIY’VE read SYO MANNY Greek tragedies, you peasants could never.” Just stfu Roobee, looking down your nose while you read a book millions have read before you (and millions will after you’re dust) is not a good look and just highlights your need to be perceived a certain way. Do I have Bacchae on my tbr? Yes. Is it there bc of The Secret History? Also yes. (Will I ever read it? Stay tuned, I have several decades ahead of me.)

I’m sure she’s patting herself on the back for having read all these books in one week. Two children’s books, one short play, one self-help book, a collection of the writings of Jane Austen from when she was A GARRRL. Oh and she may or may not have re-read Hamnet.

Jesus take the wheel 🫠
Want to know the best part?

She didn't read Bacchae. In classic Ruby fashion, she just read the Sparknotes study guide instead...

(Also note how she doesn't have a copy of the book to show, or an ebook open - it's just the Amazon product listing page.)

Someone commented on the vlog asking if she and Blakeney are together and Ruby replied that they are just best friends but not romantically involved.

That's not normal best friend behaviour, especially for an adult. If Ruby does have feelings for Blakeney I doubt she would be mature enough to accept and process them in a normal way.

All I got from this is that she won't clean her clothes, nor make the tiniest effort to look tidy, even for Hogwarts.

I honestly don't think for one minute that Blakeney will have pictures of Ruby as her screensaver.

She bought a second-hand book and is now complaining because there are annotations 😂 Bit rich coming from someone who has been known to gift books she annotated herself. Oh but I guess that’s different, because every little brown nugget that breaks off her steaming pile of a brain is golden wisdom, not like the rest of us plebs who scribble in books.

A couple of comments that stood out.

I have no real thoughts on Book Tok other than mentally shelving it alongside everything else I dislike about the app, but I completely agree with WordShaker95.

I'm also bored by the Early Modern English shoehorning. Either these vlogs are working towards her PhD application or she is a bit stuck for content.

Hasn't she read Hamnet before? I'm too lazy to search (watching too much Ruby is bad for productivity!) but I'm sure I remember her talking about it before now.
She's definitely pretended to read Hamnet before. She's waved the book around in vlogs in the past and featured it in one of her yearly wrap-up videos, but didn't do a great job of convincing that she'd actually read it and just grabbed a few Goodreads blurbs. Apparently she's forgotten she pretended to read it already.

Ruby hated Little House on the Prairie because this book - written in the 1930s and set in the late 1800s - contained racist language. This is a common, blanket criticism from her about a lot of older books. And sure, it's natural to feel uncomfortable when seeing racist language in print.

But for someone who pretends to LOFF CLASSIC LITRACHAAAR and who signed up to study AARLY MODARN LITRACHAAA because she claimed to ADORE THE SOBJACKT, it's hilarious that she seems hopelessly incapable of considering the historical context of when books were written or are set while she's critiquing them. Instead, it's a recurring judgment from her regarding books written before the 21st Century: "THIS BOOK FEATURES RACISM AND SO IT IS BAD AND YOU SHOULD NOT READ IT."

I am losing it!!! please,,,, what is this????

step 1: write a to-do list in my academic planner from pumpkin productivity
step 2: wait no, print out some examples of female independent learners through history and write key thoughts?? for each of them
step 3: make a mindmap of things that I want to learn this year, using another notebook
step 4: wait, need to consult my iPad because I ALREADY MADE A LIST OF THINGS I WANT TO LEARN THIS YEAR there
step 5: okay, my notebook now has the list of things I want to learn this year which I copied from the list of things I want to learn this year I had in my ipad
step 6: need to TYPE this list obviously, ideally I would use my ipad which already has the LIST OF THINGS I WANT TO LEARN THIS YEAR which I then copied into my notebook but alas, it ran out of charge
step 7: make a notion page using my pc
step 8: use my pumpkin productivity planner to plan personal study goals?? because I want to keep most of my academic stuff CONFINED TO THE PLANNER.

I guess we must imagine Sisyphus having a productive day, eh 😭😭😭

Damn, whose cringy ass comment is this?

A rule of Tattle is to keep it on Tattle. If you actually can't take it anymore, just stop watching lol. it's never that serious, trust me. Also mentioning the website by name feels unreasonable, she should have the chance to ignore the content if she wants to, hence the rule about keeping it on Tattle.
