What happened to the driving lessons? Learning about the social importance of tea takes priority? 😂
I know, right? I mean, 24 years old, a masters at Oxford and she is just working part time in a library that she isn't even talking about, so obviously somewhere near home where her parents or sister can drive her back and forth. I would be so embarrassed not being able to drive myself to and from a job, at that age. The things she pursues in all her free time are all so frivolous and pointless, to no end.

I think I've said this before, I understand the driving thing, my anxiety is far too big of a danger to drive at the moment (panic attacks behind the wheel aren't generally the safest thing), but this whole play pretend of going back to school is really weird to me. If she does actually have this 9-5 job, tell people about it? Videos on preparing for an adult job would be so much better than regression into a school-like academic year. I suppose it would mean she'd be showing she's actually growing up but seriously, doesn't she realise her audience has outgrown this? Is she hoping to hop on the bandwagon of university students wanting some videos to motivate them? Because twirling in the garden and creating your own curriculum isn't that and definitely doesn't suggest she's employed. Not to cast doubt on it at all, she works 3 days a week (?) so isn't full-time, but I think most of us who are employed can attest to not having the time to do much outside of work, let alone cosplaying as going back to school when we've already finished and put it behind us. What a waste of time.

She has a proven history of lying about and wildly embellishing work-related stuff, so she's definitely cried wolf enough for people to reasonably question if she's making things up again. She did it with her school job. She did it with the Emily Dickinson Museum. She does it with Pumpkin Productivity. She did it with her uni intern stuff.

Every time it's a role where she spends a few hours a week (if that) doing almost nothing, but she'll either outright lie about the nature of it, or refuse to talk about it and lead people to believe that a minor, low-effort thing is a hugely important, highly demanding role.

Content-wise it's always the exact same: She can't talk about the role, explain what she does or mention the ins-and-outs of what the working day entails or offer anything interesting because none of it's real. She's not been single-handedly running a company or teaching a class of private school kids. So all she can do is say that she was doing "waaahrk" for a chunk of fake time in a bland list of imaginary busywork tasks.

I'd be surprised if this new "job" is anything more than a few hours of volunteering at her local library in another nepo role that her parents helped land her to pad her CV for her PhD application. She doesn't want to work and certainly won't want to commute, so I don't see it being anything more.

if I missed my chance to watch this gem of a video, I might cry
I’m sure she’ll reupload it, she’s not going to let any footage go to waste 😂 More than likely, she has to fix something (sponsorship section, or maybe she’s going to blur all the stuff we’ve already screenshotted) or she just posted it earlier than she meant to.

Given some of the comments she initially had, I think she'll add in a clip on how she's aware she's privileged to do this (because people outright told her she had to be to be able to)

I can’t drive after many attempts and lessons it makes me so anxious. However we now have an automatic car (husbands) so I’m building up to trying learning automatic only. However, I don’t rely on others to ferry me around and am perfectly competent at planning journeys using public transport and occasionally a taxi

Neither I, nor my parents can drive, and they survived for more than sixty years, went to work every day and raised a child. It's not practical to travel by car where I live, in a European capital city, we use public transport or bike/walk. I know it's hard to imagine for someone from the US or Australia for example. However Ruby refused to go to her workplace by bus last summer and relied on her parents to drive her everywhere, so she clearly prefers travelling by car, that's why I think she should learn how to drive. The dependency is the problematic part, not that she doesn't have a driving license, in my opinion.

For some reason this reminded me of a former employer of mine… he’s running a very successful company but he inherited the company, and a lot of money, from his father. He once told me he only takes two forms of public transport: taxi and aeroplane 😂 I’m guessing Rootabaga is the same at heart, in spite of making a show of taking a train once in a while because rail travel is so ”romantic” ✨

Wow, this is half-assed even by Ruby’s standards.

And oh look! As predicted, a CWORALOINE screening. So she sprinted head-first into controversy again just for the sake of some ads which she didn't even bother declaring.

does anyone know what she blurred out for a split second in the vlog? when she was online shopping

Looks like she blurred an 'available to collect from' section on the website so I'm guessing she doxxed herself again. And was so lazy about editing it that she blurred unrelated shots in the process.

This to me screams that she doesn’t believe the victims - ‘I encourage you to look into the allegations’? Idk, that doesn’t send the right message to me and infers that people who believe the victims just haven’t done their research. Also, fully pushing the story onto her followers rather than taking responsibility on herself

Oooh she took the post down?? I can't see it anymore.

What I don't understand is exactly why is she insisting on talking about Coraline so much? If this is an undeclared ad, shame on her for accepting money to promote a work of someone like that. If she is honestly just excited about the re-release of the movie, then how stupid and tone-deaf can you get??

That is exactly the vibe I got from reading her comment. That is horrible. She has sealed her bubble so much that she refuses to believe anyone she admires could ever do anything bad. She is one of those idiots who won't believe in the horrors of the world until she, herself, becomes a victim and her eyes are opened. Such a narrow and negative view she has. So much for being a supportive figure for abuse victims. She is literally pro Gaiman. That is so twisted.

Ruby's latest video is so depressing. She's literally pretending to be back at school, she'll be wearing a uniform and installing a bell in her house next
