The Blakeney screensaver thing is... so strange to me? Like sure, maybe a nice photo with your bestie, but a revolving door of photos of her? So very odd, and if I were Blakeney and they aren't together, it would absolutely freak me out.

I would like to say to make a shuffles lock screen you don’t have to have an album of photos to select. So she just went through her camera roll and selected all the ones she had taken of blankey to use (still weird)

The concept and process is still the same. Ruby sat down, specifically picked out ones of Blakeney, and arranged them for ease of access.
Actually still not even. On iPhone you can just select a person and it will automatically pick out photos of them from your camera roll and shuffle them. Still massively weird of course.
POV when you've spent your entire life roleplaying Hermione while in fact you're Dudley: entitled for no reason, rude and skulky. Also, not understanding anything of importance that's happening around you or to you.
Except that Dudley had something of a redemption arc in the last book which Ruby will never have because she's surrounded by enablers
It’s so sad that she’s spending her last day library hopping. By all means make use of the libraries while you’re studying, but wouldn’t you want to be exploring the city/ socialising with friends on your last day. It made me think of the latest vlog where she’s just eating her dinner on a bench alone while there was a group of students playing croquet in front of her. Obviously you don’t have to be socialising 24/7, but it’s such a wasted opportunity that she hasn’t really made any real friends this year.

She's shown some friends on her story throughout the year to be fair - Holly, about three other girls that I've seen a lot in her stories. Not everyone will be as comfortable as Blakeney to be put in videos, so it may seem like she has no friends to us, but they might just not want to be on camera. I do agree though that a bit of socialising before moving would be nice for her.
Oxford Libraries are really nice, but all the studying after the diss makes me think that maybe she does have a PhD lined up at a university?
Even a super academic centred person would be tired post dissertation hand-in and just want to veg out with movies and a glass or five of gin (or at least that's how I was lol).I'm so ready for her to reveal what she intends to do next. Hoping it's something with a bit more structure... Twirling in your garden post BA is questionable, but twirling in your garden post masters becomes grounds for serious intervention, surely?
My impression is that she is racing through books to add to her "What I read in 2024" and grabbing quotes for her Commonplace book. Beyond that, we know nothing is going to stick. She likes having the freedom of musing around the bookstores and libraries in Oxford, but the academics took her out. I don't expect her to return for more studies in the near future, if ever. I do expect her roaming around her bedroom and backyard in a white nightgown, something regency inspired, holding a book, and reading to us (I immediately thumb down and leave), because that is the vibe she has been adding to her Pinterest over the past few days. She will forever be playing roles and never have an ounce of an idea who she truly is. Pathetic.

Honestly, I selfishly hope that she doesn't. I know that twirling in her garden can make her seem a bit odd and pathetic, but I always prefer her content when she's at home, the Oxford content has been very boring to me
I genuinely feel like she'd be happier if she got her old job back at her school and focused on writing and YouTube.
Plus, now that Marfa has a car and can drive and works for Ruby, I'd quite like to see more of her in Ruby's videos. Maybe Ruby and Marfa could do some trips around the UK together and vlog it, their contrasting personalities would make the videos funny.

I came straight from insta to here when I saw this… wtf is this?? I’m a huge Alice in Wonderland fan but… this is not my Alice.
She could do a part-time DPhil program at Oxford, that way she’d only need to be there 30 days a year. It would take 6-8 years to complete though.
