Honestly the only people in my highschool who studied over the summer were the ones who had to resit exams from the previous semester or were struggling in general. I really don’t understand what she gained from studying 12 hours in August…
Her YouTube career, bagloads of money and a pretty dubious variety of “fame”…

Just had a of hers video recommended from 5 years ago, she's been recycling this 'things to do over the summer' for YEARS.

Also the description talking about how she forgot to mention getting a job or volunteering - so privileged.

No way she went on holiday and made a QUESTIONAIRE TO ASK THE LOCALS get a life Ruby
Instant flashbacks to the lads from The Inbetweeners on their Geography trip (iykyk)

Look she’s such a grifter I wouldn’t put it past her but I’m sure that just means social media sponsorship stuff!
Also she probably wouldn’t be applying for something as grown up as that on her own, her mum would do it for her 😆

yeah I was convinced she was going to Geneva after Florence and pretend to be the next Mary Shelley
Yeah I presumed that she was going to Geneva straight after Florence too, yet she is back at home so IMO there was no reason for her to pack the extra bag.

Question about Ruby’s “novels”… is it the case that every time she writes one it gets rejected by her Agent? I literally don’t understand how she’s been going at it for (almost two years?) and it’s not even left the drafting stages.

Around here it is the exact opposite. They want people who have high anxiety to work through that anxiety and make it to their appointments. Part of the healing process. Not easy and not always accessible, but definitely part of challenging and desensitizing the patient via cognitive behavioral therapy.
I would agree that is part of the healing process (I am going through it myself after 10 years of agoraphobia) but having remote therapy makes it accessible for people at the beginning of their recovery who can’t yet get to the therapy In person due to their anxiety. Some anxiety patients are entirely housebound.

Yeah, I have to agree with others that it’s really not that weird to dream about her - I never have myself but it wouldn’t bother me if I did. Occasionally a random public figure will pop up in a dream and it’s no big deal! Just the brain doing its thing.

For me, I find it (mildly) entertaining seeing Ruby misrepresent places because we are close enough that we end up sometimes going to the same locations (organically, not on purpose!). Just at a personal level it’s funny to me to see that YouTuber spin that she puts on stuff. I wouldn’t normally post about that because it’s too niche.

Edit: but obviously I would never want to put her at risk in any way!

Here's me thinking that a holiday reset, an incredibly indulgent process to have and keep multiple times a year anyway, would include things like catching up on emails, getting ready for work (or her pretend work), washing clothes, watering plants, etc. Instead she's printing photos and writing to herself.
That's pretty much what I did. Plus restocking the fridge. Because both me and my boyfriend actually have a life that's firmly rooted in reality. 😂

can't make this up. Painting for her sister's book binding which has potential! (If it had been done by a 1 year old). "Slightly overestimated" is an understatement, Rob.
Hey small human 2 art work from nursery is miles better than that sometimes you can see her handprint instead of a random page of splodges

Aaaand it’s time (tomorrow, that is). 10 best study habits. Note this comes two weeks after the ”preparing for summer” video, because god forbid we forget about skyool for more than ten days, even in the summer.

View attachment 2351975

it’s going to be 95% recycled footage, hastily slapped together with her high-pitched voiceover and plenty of coffee anti-ASMR.

I recently got laid off and decided today that I’m going to take a gap yahh (or a few months) from employment and just study for a little bit. Roobee’s video will be useful, I’ll just do the exact opposite of what she says.
@Griftwood Oxford! Come on you have to take one for the team :)
Joking apart think about freelancing, it’s like 10 times better than employment and you can make a self employed pension :)

I don’t think Ruby is intentionally queerbaiting, because that would require her to consider someone else's perception which we know she’s incapable of doing. I think she’s just absolutely obsessed with Blakeney because she’s the only FRAND who tolerates her crap.
Yeah, she tends to be obsessive with various things and persons. Plus, she certainly noticed that people liked Blakeney, and if it means more views, she'll keep a link with her.

Her Depop prices infuriate me. The things she sells are not worth more than £10, max. Even if you bought them for £25, the actual value is probably like £12 so when you're selling it used it will be lessthan that. Most secondhand things deplete in value. Not to mention, she doesn't need the money so she doesn't need to be charging nearly £20 for two shitty Harry Potter t-shirts.
I mean, I add £2/3 on to everything I sell on Vinted to chance it - not because I'm an arsehole, but because then the people lowballing you pay what it's worth

I can’t make it past 4 minutes of this new video. At the age of 23, she really needs to let go of her fixation on school. This video would have performed way better if she’d of said something about preparing for Oxford rather than “back to school”.

As normal, her suggestions and tips are all just busy work. Who has the time to sit down and write all of their “key ideas” after every class. Most students have classes back-to-back!

I always cringe so much to imagine one of her family members filming her as she does this.
Also, it's 2023. The teacher will post the key ideas on the class virtual blackboard.

The fact she’s a Jenny a mustard fan…. Another girlie with body image issues she projects time to time in her videos (like when her husband was losing weight she also went on a diet, like she’s always been naturally thinner as most Swedes seem to be but lately she looks gaunt).

I got The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society DVD from my local library the other day andfinally had the time to watch it tonight. OMG I LOVED it! Such a great film. Have any of you seen it/ read the book? It was just what I needed after a day at work, lots of uni stuff and being stuck on a train for an hour and a half, two stops awy from home, because of a technical problem. I'm also really sore because I did yoga again after a 4-year break. I can feel every muscle in my body, even muscles I didn't know I had. :ROFLMAO: So nice to just chill out on the sofa with a good film for a change! So that's my film recommendation for the day.

Imagine being a self-proclaimed avid reader who's about to start their Master's degree at Oxford and still not knowing what POV is and how it works. Will she ever learn?
This is something it seems like half the internet doesn't understand! Totally baffles me. Ruby should definitely know better.

Sending lots of love and tattle good wishes to you @Scapier88 ❤

This is interesting. In the US, it is rare for schools to offer latin unless it's some expensive private school, so universities don't expect any of us to know latin. That being said, sometimes we get taught some common latin roots and suffixes in the English language for English class, but that's also not very common or thorough.
