Brother Karamat-zoff pronunciation made me believe that she is not reading the book and randomly placed the bookmark in the middle of the book. I could be okay with the pronunciation but she doesnt even know the name of the book she supposedly has been reading for a month AND HOLDING IN HER HANDS

I think she's assuming that 'z' is pronounced 'ts' in Russian like it is in 'pizza' which it's not because Russian has a separate letter for 'ts' plus it would be transliterated as 'ts' if it was pronounced that way. I think she's assuming it to sound more intelligent, ironically.

something that never sat right with me is how Ruby got AAA* in her a levels. Don't get me wrong, these are perfectly respectful results but I remember back in 2020 when I first started watching her videos for study motivation (didn't work lol) I thought studying 7hrs a day was the only acceptable option. Cut to 7 months later and with *ESSENCE* of being a chronic procrastinator, I ended up with 2A 1B on As results after cramming the night before the exam lol. And it always made me wonder back than how someone like her who was pushing through 10hrs of study-days could end up with similar results like mine.

I’ve always thought this too. Obviously you may get a harsher marker than others but with the amount of time she spent studying you would’ve expected her to get 3 A*s. I think her downfall was over loading her brain with extra context information that wasn’t relevant to her exams so she lost track of what content she needed to learn. Sperging extra information not relevant on exam papers will only get you limited/no marks.

Yeah I frequently brace myself these days. She bashes her shit around, so loud. The glass straw in the ice cubes is probably the worst jump scare she's given me. Her videos need a constant 'headphones warning'.

The fact that she goes for a run in the, what, 20/30 minutes it takes for a cake to bake shows that her idea of a run is essentially a skip to the end of the garden and back. Though it does make a lot of sense now why half the things she makes come out burnt.

I don't even know why she would be learning Latin other than to appear smart and for the Dark academia aesthetic. Admittedly, I do a bit of Latin here and there but I study early modern history and I have a use for it. I don't know if she likes learning, I think she only likes it to fill in the gaps of her day to justify staying at home, as it looks a bit more socially acceptable to stay at home if you are studying. Plus the studying gives her reasons not to go out and it's an excuse for her to stay shut up in her room all day

I don't keep up with Ruby much anymore so sorry if it's been talked about, but I was wondering, she keeps talking about her 'job' at her old school but surely it's just volunteering? What paying job could she be doing in a school with no teacher training?

Private schools in the UK can hire untrained/unqualified teaching staff. The school Ruby went to seems to accept a BA degree as a "good enough" qualification to be part of the teaching staff with no further experience needed. They still probably opt to hire people with some amount of experience and training for their full-time teachers, but Ruby is a prime example of the quality of education coming out of that place, so who knows.

From everything Ruby's shown (and since deleted), she's a (very) part-time classroom assistant and her actual responsibilities are minimal (she's doing things like making flash cards and posters), but she's doing her usual trick of being very coy, embellishing her involvement and refusing to actually talk about her role so that her fans will assume she's an actual teacher.

Once again, I'm lost for words.

Those kinds of "acts of kindnesses" never seem genuine to me, the writer of the post it doesnt intend to say those words to the receiver/s. For me it feels like ads that goes "Are you tired of xxx? Do you feel like yyy? My product is what you need!!!" Its the fake sincereity, as if the person who writes the made up affirmations actually cares about me. I dont they dont and I know Ruby doesnt give a damn about whoever will interact with her post its. For her, its about the show and its about feeling better about herself thinking she actually did something. So she can tell friends and relatives about how thoughtful she is, so she can preach the internet how the best kindest light hearted angel she is and noone can surpass her saint-esque manners.

She's doing a valentines day promotion for buy one get one free for her planners, it just feels so desperate. Who would want to give their loved one a planner for valentines day? Also, her website is so out of date, she's still nineteen and studying Theology at uni, shouldn't she have changed that by now or kept it up to date or have staff who do it for her?

I doubt there's anyone wanting to get a planner who didn't buy one in early January at the very latest The only people I imagine might want to buy a couple are the ones who bought one of her planners earlier and it already fell apart but they're too stupid to switch to something cheaper and sturdier

She's not even phoning it in with the website. You'd think she'd do the bare minimum seeing as she got sponsored by the platform several times, but no. Ruby Bones, half-assing her way through life since 2000.

Her new night routine is basically a return to her old ones, when she wasn't at uni. Maybe it's strange but I kinda feel like it suits her rather well, I can feel her more dark Hogwardish macademia than poor victorian kid ( despite this very sad pasta plate). And frankly, I miss the Hermione Granger deliriums, it was fun. Now only miss the fringe and it'll be a total return in the past, living her sugar plum fairy boarding school days in mommy & daddy's house far away from these filthy modern peasants.
Nah seriously I'd like her to return on the Hermione side, it was stupid but entertaining.

Yup, that rule around residency still exists. You can apply to live outside of the 25 miles “for good reason” but I can’t imagine any permissible reason Ruboid could offer, especially as she cannot drive and even to get the train to Oxford, she needs to be driven to the station, so it’s therefore not really a viable option. They only allow a 500 word explanation of why you’re requesting it too and Ruboid+words=/= sense

I imagine her dubious crippling phobia of home invasion will make a sudden and convenient reappearance so she can get a doctor's note from a therapist to avoid campus.
