She's going to try to live there forever, I feel. Whether her parents want to stay together or split up in the future, they are going to have permanent limpet Ruby in their home unless they tell her she needs to sort herself out and get a job that gets her out of the house (one that isn't going back to her old school). She has money so she could easily afford renting with other girls, for company.
Unless they show tough love, the Bones are going to be stuck.
That house must be a money pit and their kids are adults now, so surely they must be thinking, "let's start a new chapter elsewhere, or downsize, or whatever". If Ruby gets a masters she will still come home every weekend. Other Studytubers, like Eve Bennett, had parents move house while they were at uni and so home became a place to stay as a guest, rather than come home to every week.
And you can imagine Jade will be renting quite soon once she finishes Minerva, because she will want her independent casual magic life

Ruby shows no signs of planning where she will live after this gap year or masters. Her younger sister is already doing her own thing, and whilst Martha is a bit haphazard, I think time and experience will do her well.
Oh, and as a sewist, that collar is an abomination...not because of her novice sewing skills (which is understandable), but because of her awful cutting...so jagged! When you cut out the pieces so roughly like that, nothing will line up and it will look like it has been dragged through a hedge. She should have cut it out on the floor or a tabletop, and took slower, smaller snips to get the curve right. No, instead, Ruby half asses it by chopping like she's Edward Scissorhands in a race.
And then there is the ribbon just plonked on top, with no thought for pinning and curving the ribbon carefully to follow the curved edge. If you are going to devote a day to crafting and creativity, slow down, do it mindfully and it will work out well.
