I'm not exactly a great dresser myself but I don't look like I've raided the dressing up boxI don't want to sound picky or rude but I was just shocked by her legs and not sure if it's how she's posing or it's something normal but her knees look like they are sticking out so much. The shoes make her legs look so thin as well.
The carrying change is such a bizarre thing to do but I know she'll be patting herself on the back for thinking about giving change to someone homeless.I can't imagine her approaching someone homeless at all. I suppose that she would be trying to lecture them on what to spend the change on.

I thought so, too. Especially since the new iPhone can take great photos in the dark – but than we wouldn't get to see the full extend of her "outfit of the day".
(my "outfit of the day" or rather of the last ... 3 years is yoga pants and a shirt. Combined with good old Birkenstock shoes. I'm a very fashionable moth.)

It's her body proportions. If you look at older photos where she used to weigh more, the legs were still really thin compared to her upper body. Her mom looks like that too
Edit: Tbh I think the problem is that she eats in an unhealthy way, but her weight is not dangerously low or anything (thankfully)

If you start to run 5 times a week without proper training and slowly increasing your training schedule, you'll end up injured soon enough. As will she.
I'm really disturbed by her legs in that sock-photo. I wish she'd put on a Christmas kilo instead of starving herself.
Changing the plot is something you can do only if the characters are interesting, isn't it? If you character is one dimensional and boring changing the plot is not going to solve anything.
The fact that she is considering giving money to homeless people just shows how incredibly stupid she is. Many homeless people prefer to be left alone. They often can be dangerous (some have literally stabbed people who have approached them) and many are on drugs, are alcoholics or are mentally unstable. Not all, but a lot. Cash that is accepted usually goes right to the drug dealer, for cigarettes or liquor. There are charities to donate to, soup kitchens to donate to or work in, shelters that need basic supplies and have lists online. Again, charity is not something to show off and wear on your sleeve. That is pride and boasting. Just give time or donations as often as you can, quietly and with humility, remembering many of these people had homes, family, jobs, and friends, once upon a time, and now all is lost, for one reason or another. It can happen to anyone. Anyone. Including Ruby. She really needs to wise up in every way.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong or stupid about giving money to a homeless person.
The idea that they majority of them are dangerous criminals is a horrible and untrue stereotype for a start, secondly you don’t know what they might spend that money on, they could use it for a hostel to stay safe for the night (especially important for homeless women who are some of the most vulnerable members of society), toiletries, bedding, warm clothes etc.
Also, yes there are homeless addicts, but at the end of the day who are you to judge someone for how they choose to cope with such a horrific situation? So what if they do decide they want to buy themselves a drink? If my life was ducked to the point that I was homeless, I think I’d probably get straight on the fags, booze and drugs too.

Thanks. I know not everyone will agree with me on this but idc I just find the whole ‘don’t give money to homeless people’ so judgemental.
If you want to clutch your pearls and refuse to give cash to a homeless person because god forbid there is a possibility that they might choose to spend it on something to take the edge off of their rit existence for a few hours, then fine, but don’t call people stupid for choosing to give them money.

Edit: I’ll probably regret this but “most homeless people want to be left alone” is absolute BS. Marginalised, multiply-disadvantaged and socially excluded people are acutely aware of the fact they are ignored, deemed “dangerous”, looked down upon, invisible and avoided. Desperate people in desperate states doing what they can to survive. Life expectancy of homeless women is 43, 45 for men. More likely to be attacked than attack. Limited or no access to health care.

Agree. I work with a lot of homeless people (volunteer work in a Legal Advice centre). Many of them spend all night looking for a way to obtain a drug of addiction and when they finally get it, they sleep all day. Rinse, repeat. If the money they receive makes it easier to obtain what they need, you have at least given them a good 24 hours of peace. And maybe, hopefully, because they haven't had to struggle for a whole night, they might have the energy to think about seeking good quality help to break their cycle.
I agree with not boasting about charity, Ruby is insufferable in this regard. However I disagree with your characterisation of homeless people and their needs. It is perfectly fine to give them time and basics, but it is also very helpful to give them cash too.
completely agree. tbf though on ruby’s part her “keep change to give to the homeless” is total virtue signalling given that she rarely bothers to make trips outside of the grounds of her decaying victorian estate that would enable her to come across a homeless person anyway

I think the major reason she wears these baggy shorts and chunky shoes is that they make her legs appear smaller than they are.
I try not to nitpick the way people dress as taste is subjective but Ruby looks like she goes out of her way to be called unique and quirky, when she's anything but. You can tell when someone dresses out of the box because they are just that way, as opposed to Ruby's desperation for making herself look wacky so that she can never be judged by the norms of society as she's already "odd".
Might be my prejudice towards anything she does, as she's a compulsive pretentious liar, but this also feels like a way to dodge the calling of adulthood on her part whereas if she had a healthier approach to life, I wouldn't notice that she's wearing ill fitting clothes or something that would better suit a haunted doll.
