Maybe she did go to Boston solo, had an awful time (as predicted) and that’s why she hasn’t posted anything? Poor Rubes is traumatized 😂
Yeah, between Greece, Scotland and all the other dates she's accidentally shown when her videos were supposed to be filmed in a single day, I can't see that there's any point where she could've fit in a secret 3 week trip to Boston over the past couple of months. So if she went, she either went alone and immediately bailed and came home or she went with mummy on a much shorter trip than originally planned.

She insisted it was a solo trip and set herself up for embarrassment if it wasn't, so if she panicked and bailed on the trip or went with mummy and/or daddy, she's likely going to struggle to have anything to show that won't give it away and look really embarrassing.

I think she likely has been on a much shorter trip, whether solo or not. Like Boston is great, but I personally wouldn't go there for three weeks unless I'm meeting people there.

I'm from the US and I also really don't see why anyone would go to Boston for three weeks, especially alone. Lol. I think if you're on a road trip on the East Coast it seems like a good place to stop by for a few days and do some of the campus tours and other touristy things. Maybe I'm biased because I'm from California, but I've never heard of anyone just willingly take a solo trip to Boston for that long "for fun."

I don't think she went to Boston yet, I think the trip was cancelled or postponed, but without much chance of being retaken. If she went with her parents, it wouldn't be a problem for her to just implying that she went by herself and then ignoring the questions in the comments. It would still be a valuable opportunity for her to create content, so she would do it. Plus, it would have been too much work for her to create some home-based content in advance only to post while being in Boston and deceiving everybody. She is too lazy and unorganized to do that.
She probably realized that her mental health is too bad to go anywhere by herself. But sadly, it's this exact lack of experiences that keeps her in that condition.

what’s Martha’s blog? We can’t assume the family aren’t helping

It would also account for one of her latest TikToks, where she talked about her mental health and her mum leaving notes for her on her desk. Maybe she went alone and realised that it was a really bad idea, and too overwhelming an experience. Or she went with her parents and realised that she won't be able to post anything about it, since she bragged for so long that this was going to be a solo trip.

What I don't understand is why these people can't even think about getting help for their daughters. Both of them are obviously feeling bad (Ruby says it herself and Martha wrote a piece about it on her blog) and it's not as if the Bones couldn't pay for therapy. Are they such bad parents that they don't even care about how their daughters feel? Or do they just believe that these are 'stages' in their lives and that they'll outgrow whatever they are going through at the moment?
Can you tell me please in which video Ruby said she's struggling with her mental health please?
She posts Too Many videos and they're Too long, so i can't watch her anymore.
Thanks!

Well, I mean, she went to Boston because I saw the footage of her scanning the Boston Public Gardens and in the background you can see the city buildings. I know the area well, so there is no question about it. The trees still had a lot of leaves on them, and unless Boston is really holding on to theirs, this was taken weeks or even a month ago or more. In Concord the trees are bare. I was very surprised when I saw her planning a 3 week trip into our area, especially since it was supposed to be literary oriented. The Orchard House, Wayside, Emerson's House, Old Manse and Concord Museum are all fairly near each other, though a bit of a walk from the center of Concord. All require masks and pre-registration. So if you can get in one tour doesn't mean the next hour will be available for touring the house down the street. It would take a lot of organizing. There also isn't a lot of places to eat, so more than likely I know where they would have meals. Emily Dickinson's home is in Amherst. That is hours away. I don't even know how she would get there, as she can't rent a car and drive on her own. Any other way would be tedious or impossible. The further west you go the less opportunity you have for trains. Many of the suburbs and rural towns beyond Concord don't even have taxi services, so if you are stuck, you are stuck. Walk in the dark alone. Not safe. In Boston and Cambridge you have Harvard Square and Longfellow's Home. Out in the semi boonies of Harvard, MA you have Fruitlands. Some buildings are closed, others you have to pre-register to tour. Other than car, there is no way to get there. It is a good hour+ west of Boston. If she thought she could walk around the campus of Harvard or Boston College, wrong. Unless she had some kind of appointment there, no one is allowed, especially due to all the school shootings in our country. That leaves the Freedom Trail, which most of us did during Elementary school and is actually quite boring, and the museums in Boston; Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Science, Boston Aquarium. None of which are "literary" themed. I would like to see what she actually did during her time in Boston/MA, but I have a feeling if she was looking for a new aesthetic she will be sorely disappointed. I can see her doing Little Women outfits, which have already been done to death on social media, or a stupid Emily Dickinson one. Truth be told, we aren't really into the whole "this is my aesthetic" crap over here. We just go about our lives being ourselves....

Thank you for your perspective, it really makes it sound like Ruby's plan was a horrible idea all around. I mean we could tell even just knowing she planned on going to the States by herself but now that you've described the area and the local tourist attractions it really does sound like a terrible decision on her part. I wonder how it went for her.

So the question is if Ruby booked her tickets for Boston to go in the Autumn like she did in her Rainy and Chatty Vlog video when exactly did she go to Boston because the timeline isn't really adding up as she was in Scotland at the beginning of September, spent the middle of September at home and then towards the end of September she went to Greece with her family. As I posted yesterday I think she went to Boston after she went to Greece because she didn't upload anything on her Tiktok and was very quiet on social media around that time yet she was supposed to go to Boston for 3 weeks but it looks like she was only there for 1 week because soon after she was back posting videos on Tiktok from her home. I do think that something happened on this trip because it has obviously affected her mental health as she seems to be less active on social media. In fact looking at her Instagram Stories today and she is only reposting things to do with her tea.

Yeah, this is exactly what I am thinking. First of all, just because she puts something up, doesn't mean it is happening right then and there. She has done this before, not just in YouTube but also in Instagram stories, posts and TikTok. You can make a video and put it up later, weeks later if you want. Which can really fool with timelines. I am sure she freaked out on her trip and it failed. Trying to take a tour bus is a possibility, but again, you are at their mercy and things have just not recovered from Covid here yet. Once upon a time you could just hop in a car, go to an historical home and sign up for the next tour or even hop on the tour that may have just started. Now you have to pre-register. They have less tours. Places are already closed, others this weekend, more next weekend. We are prepping for winter here. Thanksgiving is in 3 weeks, Black Friday the next day and everyone is in Christmas shopping mode. It gets dark, it gets cold, it is a time for family, not touring. That begins in mid April to early May. Our off season is pretty long. I have a feeling she made a very quick trip and had to get home fast, for one reason or another. She certainly doesn't look good. She looks completely drained and stressed out.

Yeah I think she went on the trip on her own and realised how hard it was to find everything that she wanted to see around Boston and went home quickly as she didn't want to be on her own any longer. I have noticed a change in her over the last couple of weeks as she looks really tired and is definitely drained and stressed out by something I have also noticed that she just doesn't seem to be as happy as she usually is.

Not sure if this is interesting info but Ruby attended Pipers Corner a £20,000 a year all girls school so it is hardly surprising that she has no motivation to actually get a job or properly publish any new books that she's been working on. She's grown up in a wealthy family and can continue her fantasy of being a Victorian child- something that most of us cannot dream of. Also, her school gives off major Mallory Towers vibes and despite the fact that she constantly talks about being 'bullied' she seems to have thrived at the school and was definitely a favourite- she was head girl for goodness sake so her continued Victorian child role play just seems to be her hanging on to her glory days as a school girl
I bet she's still fuming that she didn't attend Wycome Abbey.

Where, in the U.S.? LOL there's hardly a picturesque street or scenic vista in this country that isn't clogged with influencers doing their aesthetic crap.

Yeah, I guess. Just not with the older generation. Meaning most people who actually know who they are, have an actual job and life, and aren't trying to pose for social media photos and get so over their head that they end up identifying with a specific character in a book, etc.. To be honest, in many of the places I have mentioned not once have I seen people taking pictures dressed up in a particular way, posing or trying to create an aesthetic themed photo unless they are tour guides dressed up for a specific event. New England is New England. Foliage is here every year. You take pics, the leaves fall, snow comes, the circle of life continues. It just isn't a big deal like some people make it. Like Ruby does, trying to create her mishmash of Dark Academia, Light Academia, CottageCore, I'm an author, attitude. So, no, it definitely is not clogged with influencers around here. Maybe elsewhere, but not here. And I have lived here all my life.

She's finally put an end to the mystery by posting holiday content!

Just kidding, she's just posted more ads recycling her Scotland video footage.

In Scotland, Ruby says, there are stories around every corner and history wherever you point your eyes, yet she couldn't find anything interesting to show or talk about and just made another crappy "daily routine" vlog.

And more ads. I wonder how many ads she was asked to do to receive that free trip or is she just doing it for content now, because she hasn't got anything else to share?

I just looked at some live cams in Boston and they do, indeed, still have a lot of leaves on the trees as opposed to Concord. So, she probably is in Boston/MA right now, which explains the anxiety (taking a solo trip) and the sudden onslaught of tea posts and the ad from Scotland. That would also explain why she rapidly removed the video of Boston Public Gardens as soon as I, or anyone else, mentioned that she was in Boston. Again, a very popular area and view, so she basically advertised exactly where she was. Not a particularly smart idea, but when has she ever been wise about her decisions? Get ready for an interesting ride. Will she survive 3 weeks away from Mommy or did Mommy tag along?

Maybe you're not in the right demographic to notice this kind of thing. It's not just influencers who care about aesthetics either, many people are into dark academia or autumn vibes or whatever, usually younger people in their teens/early 20's. It's a bit cringy and silly but ultimately harmless in most cases I guess
