Somehow critical thinking and calling someone out for non acceptable behavior always gets twisted into being jealous.

Why would I be jealous of Ruby? (apart from being ultra rich apparently but even then I prefer my own life so much more that not even money could temp me to live Ruby’s life).
it’s not so much about her personality/interests but more having a stable family, tons of money and a cute room in a literal manor - i‘d actually love to have these things soo yes i get being jealous of ruby

I'm jealous of the life I could have if I had Ruby's money and privilege. I'm not jealous of her actual life at all.

Yeah, this! And I have to say, I also envy her for her naivete in a way. Sometimes I think how nice it must be to live with the mentality of a child, where your biggest worry is that your teacher gave you a grade that wasn't as high as you wanted it to be. As opposed to having to worry about health, money, the health of family members, wars and political crises, my future, etc, etc. I sometimes envy her for being priviledged to the point where getting a slightly-lower-than-expected dissertation grade was the biggest negative event in her life this month.

But then I remember that she's clearly mentally unwell and that she must be under a lot of internal psychological pressure that causes her to be this obsessed with grades and perfection (to say nothing of her eating issues) and that really helps with the jealousy lmao. Because the irony is that Ruby herself is clearly miserable despite all these priviledges and advantages in her life. Perhaps she would be happier if she had to face more challenges, actually. (But I guess we'll never find out cause she never leaves her comfort zone)

Sorry... Ruby Philomena Bones? I did not know Philomena was in there lol.
I know this might come across wrong because I know no one can help how they look or how their skeleton is built, etc (I too have odd legs and walk weird) but what's up with her pigeon feet? Have I just never noticed them before in her older videos? I personally am aware of my walk and practiced for weeks before my HS graduation to walk as 'normal' of a walk as I possibly could, so that my legs and feet don't look weird on film/photos..

I have always thought that there is a direct correlation between becoming a YouTuber and having a mental breakdown/deep personal issues.

What I don't understand about this girl in particular:
1. Does she have a boyfriend? Is she still of a particular olive oil variety?
2. Who does she think she is hoodwinking with regards to bogus 'productivity' etc.?
3. Was Emma Watson/Hermione Granger ever appealing to anyone?
4. Does she actually have an eating disorder? Or is this just TL
5. Has she ever read a book?
6. Why does she think her undergraduate dissertation (what 3,000 words?) should be publishable?
7. Is she seeking help/therapy? Are there any indications of this?
8. What is the obsession with Oxford? If you can't get in as an undergrad, you cannot remedy this with postgrad. It's not equivalent.

*Here are my own answers to your questions. They are my opinions and my answers are not facts.*
1. Not that I/we know of.
2. Young audiences who are impressionable and gullible.
3. Not to me. I enjoyed watching and reading HP when I was a kid but I was never obsessed like Bones.
4. She's never admitted to one but it's very obvious in many different ways that she must have one.
5. I honestly believe she has. She's obsessed with books afterall..
6. She believes her work is better than everyone else's and she wants to publish books of her own..
7. She may, behind the scenes, but there's been zero evidence.
8. It's apparently always been a big dream or goal of hers to attend Oxford, for some reason.

that's what I thought, too. :ROFLMAO:

the two things I envy her is: 1. she published a book (let's not talk about how bad or good it is). I never ever finished anything worth publishing, even before the possibility of self publishing came along.
Neither has Ruby.

Re: the first question - no, Ruby has never mentioned anything about having a partner. She's never talked about dating/her sexuality afaik. Personally, I think it crosses a line to speculate about her virginity on here (especially since virginity is a social construct anyway, and women should never be shamed/criticized for their supposed 'virginity status', or for not having a boyfriend, imho).

i know we moved on from this pretty quickly but what she said about it being cold enough at 6am to wear a jumper and tight is bull. i’m muslim and we have to wake up at around 3am to pray and sometimes it feels hotter than in the day time. there is no way she put that on cuz she was cold she must be lying

Exactly, why do people even care if she’s had sex or not? Like come on are you actually 14 to be asking if someone has lost their V card yet 🤣

I don't know where you live but it usually being colder at night and in the early morning is sorta common sense, right? I can't tell what the weather in the UK was this morning (according to google it was 12 degrees in Oxford at 6 am) but I find this a sorta weird lie to debunk.

Some people get cold easier than others. Wheter this was a lie or not I do think it's something very plausible. It's usually colder at night because like, no sun #science.

The thing with UK weather though is, depending on where you live, it hardly gets colder at night because the humidity and heat just stays overnight. Where I live, if it's 33C during the day, it almost never goes below 29/28C at night.

1. Not that we know of. Wouldn't match her brand.
2. Young students who don't have the perspective to realize how unrealistic it is
3. To 8-13 year old girls who fancy themselves bookworms and the smartest students, yes. Source: I had a Hermione phase, emphasis on phase as in I grew out of it
4. While she's never admitted it, the foods she shows on camera strongly suggest it. She does not respond to people calling her out for promoting unhealthy eating habits.
5. Yes, but they're all children's books.
7. In a long-ago video, she mentioned therapy, however it didn't seem like something she went to regularly or continued.
8. Oxford would validate her fantasies of being the smartest, the most productive, the most Hermione-like academic. Given the way she's treated her academics at Exeter, she doesn't seem to actually value the learning process of Oxford, just the name brand, so whether she goes as an undergrad or postgrad doesn't matter.

this might be a little controversial but does anyone still watch younger ryoobee? like i lowkey love her videos from when she was in sixth form even though she worked way too much and seemed really annoying. she did actually seem genuine in her studies back then
