Apart from anything else, even if Ruby is 1000% harmless, it's still setting the example that it's ok for adults/celebs/influencers to have a weird and unnecessary interest and that it's ok to trust the next one who comes along who might not be so harmless.

i never thought that i would write a post on here lmao but here i am.

ive been seeing a lot of stuff about ruby being a pweirdo and about her fixation with childhood. i was sexually abused by both my parents for six years and while it is unlikely she is a nonce (but definitely not definite) i think we need to establish that people aren’t just being groomed sexually. just because ruby may not be having any sexual intentions with these kids doesn’t mean that she can’t be abusing them in other ways. i mean what the fuck do you talk about to a child when you’re in your 20s?

Hey, it's my Tattle-iversary! It's officially been one year since I accidentally stumbled across these threads, read like ten of them in a day, and went from desperately wanting an academic planner to thinking "wait, that doesn't seem healthy...". Honestly was the best accident of my life! This last school year I put so much less academic pressure on myself and I had a really good time talking to the peers that I was too busy to get to know the past three years when I was only focused on school and forcing myself to study all day every day. Also I saved a lot of money on pens once I realized that supplies aren't really what defines how good of a student you are hahaha. Sorry to ramble on, but I want to say keep up the good work guys!

For the amount of editing Roodawakening is supposedly doing, we're getting remarkably few videos. Her Italy vlog is like a month late at this point. Although knowing her, it's not so much an issue of editing (we all know she does very little of that) as waiting for sponsors to approve the videos.
She's not editing she's ADDITING... by which she actually means seeing how many undeclared ADS she can sneak into a video. Hard work indeed.

I really dislike the 'whimsical, pensive' thing on the whole, every video where she's visiting a new place or thing and she does this 'wandering around in awe' look and overly flowery, poetic voiceovers. It's so fake.
How very dare you dislike her voiceover, she is quoting the immortal words of the famous author… Daphne du Maurice! 😂😂😂

It’s one thing to not read books, but apparently even the author’s name was too long for her to finish.

"I'm not planning on making much study content anymore," Ruby says, having just released another shitty academic planner and now delaying her already-delayed Italy vlog in favour of another study-related video about school preparedness even though she's a 22-year-old graduate now.

It's a bit like saying, "No more chocolate for me!" and then breaking into the Cadbury factory in the middle of the night to gorge on Creme Eggs and swim around in a vat of melted chocolate like Augustus fucking Gloop.

Untitl7084566851480905565684778795656757655674545567576756755457567h.png

Speaking of greedy little assholes, Ruby starts her video in her room, wearing her (unironed) PETA-branded t-shirt, even though she has NAVVER actively promoted the organisation and would NAVVER support them in any way, how DAHRRR YOU accuse her of SOCH THINGS!

Her desk is so poorly-suited to her daily purposes that she's had to shove her new iMac up against the wall to have even a modicum of usable space. This is the kind of situation that calls for things like, ohhh, I don't know...maybe an actual desk? Possibly a proper office chair with back support, not a child's chair from a Victorian primary school? Or, I don't know, maybe move into the house you bought for yourself?

In the meantime, Ruby - queen of planning and big-brain thinking - has opted to work on a desk with the depth of a postcard while sitting on a too-small stiff chair which has a personal vendetta against her vertebrae.

Untitl7084566851480905565kokpkpo.jpg

Ruby scribbles all over her math homework (a subject she hasn't studied for several years) and announces that she's going to tell everyone her top tips for things to do before the school year finishes. And if your school year already finished, then you'll get ideas for things to do before next year starts. "But what if I just graduated?" you may ask.

A while back, Ruby made a whole video full of stupid and unhelpful things which you should do the night before school. But the night before simply isn't good enough any more. You need to plan for the next year before the current one has even finished, apparently, or your academic future will wither away faster than Ruby's rapidly-vanishing youth.

Untitl7084566851480905565ko565kpkpo.png

"The FARRST THING" to do is to apply liberal amounts of fake freckles all over your nose in an effort to look more child-like. This way, when you return to your old primary school next week/year at the age of 22 to try to blend in with the other students and repeat your education and avoid adulthood for 10 more years, it'll hopefully take the adults a precious few more seconds before they realise that you don't belong there.

Wait, that's not the first thing? (Checks video.) Whoops, my bad -- the actual "FARSST THING" is somehow just as stupid.

Why not spend some time properly organising all your notes from the last year+?

BUT WAIT! DON'T JUST BURN ALL YOUR OLD NOTES THAT YOU'LL NEVER NEED AGAIN.

Ruby's right. Don't burn any single-use notes and documents. It's paper and card. Recycle them.

Untitl7084566851480905565ko454565kpkpo.jpg

Wait, what's that, Ruby? Don't recycle them? Oh. But what about sustainability and the environment...?

Untitl7084566851480905565ko575454565kpkpo.jpg

Ruby would prefer you burn any notes you don't keep, but keep more than you burn. Don't just throw out all the notes that you'll definitely never need again! Who knows when you might need them again?!

Ruby's right. I mean, you could be riding the bus to work and a crazed bomber gets on board and takes everyone hostage. He'll free everyone if you can just solve one tricky math equation! In impossible-to-foresee situations like those, you'll wish you had stacks of years-old algebra homework littering your work bag, which is possibly why Ruby still has math homework from 6 years ago readily accessible.

Sorry, did I say "riding the bus to work"? I'm sorry, I forgot that work and public transport don't exist in Ruby's world of sheltered privilege.

Untitl7084566851480905565ko575564454565kpkpo.jpg

NOMBAH TYOO: Why not spend some time properly organising all your notes from the last year+?

200.gif

(Checks notes.)

Yup, the first two items on Ruby's list are the same thing. Organise all the notes you want to keep and file them away. Anything "important" or that you "wahhrked really hard on". Like old algebra homework, apparently.

Untitl7084566851480905565454ko575564456554545465kpkpo.jpg

Ruby says she keeps multiple lever-arch folders full of old notes. "One for A-Level, one for GCSE and one for avverything befwore that." Ruby's really just keeping massive compendiums of her primary/junior school homework like a complete basket case.

Untitl7084566851480905565ko575564456554545465kpkpo.jpg

She says she's also kept her creative writing work from school, then cuts to this shot of the Dickens collection she stole from her parents and claimed as her own.

If Ruby were anything approaching a competent editor, I'd say this was an intentional shot to draw an unconscious visual link between Ruby's scribbled drivel fiction and the works of Charles Dickens. But since she's not, this appears to be a hilarious accident.

Untitl7084566851480905565454454ko575564456554545465kpkpo.jpg

And to prove her lack of editing skills, Ruby repeats some footage from earlier in the video of her assembling some weird, bulky ransom package to send to her future self.

NOMBAH THREE: Digitally scan anything which is "ASSPASSHALLY IMPWORETANT" for "NAXT YAHHR".

robert-downey-jr-frustrated.gif

Self-proclaimed master of planning and efficiency has a list of ways to make your academic life SYOOPAH-DYOOPAH ORGANISED! The first two are the same fucking thing, and the third one makes them completely redundant.

If you digitise your notes, then get rid of the original papers. Recycle it all. It's not important financial documents or the deed to a house. You don't need it. Sure, you might want a redundancy backup, but do that digitally, too. One on your PC, one in the cloud, one on a USB stick.

This:

pexels-photo-4792751.jpg

Versus this...

depositphotos_22106881-stock-photo-business-woman-in-black-outfit.jpg

But as always, Ruby's life is full of endless, redundant busywork and clutter and she has never once learned to work smart and efficiently or streamline any of these pointless, superfluous tasks.

Untitl70845668514809055654544544654ko575564456554545465kpkpo.png

The editing incompetence continues, and alongside the familiar clipped sentences and garbled assembly of footage, there's a single-frame image of pale-faced, fake-freckled Ruby lurking amongst the B-roll footage at 03:06. It just pops up out of nowhere like a horror movie jump-scare from a film about a sinister, unhinged English girl who steals the lives and homework of those around her.

Ruby does not explain why you need to keep the original paperwork for old science classes from when you were 10 to begin with, but especially if you digitally backed them up.

Untitl70845668514809055654544544654ko57556445456554545465kpkpo.jpg

"NOMBAH FWORE: Myake a tyoo-dyoo list of all of your sommah hyomewahhrk and things."

Ruby writes yet more fictional school tasks as she dreams she's still in high school.

She segues into advertising her crappy planner and says this is exactly the kind of thing she used her own planner for! Only she didn't.

Untitl70845668514809055654544544654ko5755576445456554545465kpkpo.jpg

"NOMBAH FOIYVE: Make a sommah bocket list."

Ruby's life is so stunted and sheltered that she has to go back years to find footage of anything resembling a summer activity that wasn't just her withering away in her bedroom.

She shows footage of some kind of cultish Midsommar-esque gathering of Tory Karens and their Stepford children which took place on the grounds of Ruby's family manor.

Untitl70845668514809055654544544-654ko5755576445456554545465kpkpo.jpg

And then she shows footage of Martha from years ago, long before her e-girl phase.

Untitl70845668514809055654544544-654ko575557656445456554545465kpkpo.jpg

And then a tiny snippet of her Italy trip, which we'll see all over again when she releases her Italy vlog in several months.

Untitl70845668514809055654544544-654ko57555765636356445456554545465kpkpo.jpg

And a shot of Ruby with Blakeney at the beach, because she's desperately clinging to the hope that Blakeney hasn't just moved on with her life to get a job and be an adult and is happily rid of Ruby the productivity parasite.

Ruby rambles about how she's more excited and "inventive" while she's studying and can come up with more ideas for her days off. Even though all her days off are spent doing the exact same things.

Untitl70845668514809055654544544-654ko57555765636353546445456554545465kpkpo.jpg

"NOMBAH SYIX: REFLACKT ON YOUR ACADEMIC YEAR."

Ruby says you should REFLACKT on how you think the year went and what you should have done differently.

Oh, fuck off, Ruby.

Nobody needs to do this, much less at fucking GCSE or A-Level. If you did your best, that's all you need to do. Take on board any teacher feedback for next time and that's it. Don't spend all your free time thinking about school and college. It's not beneficial. It certainly never helped Ruby. She's never learned from her failures and never reflected on or grew as a person as a result of anything.

Untitl70845668514809055654544544-654ko575557656363535464454453556554545465kpkpo.jpg

"NOMBAH SAVVEN: You moight want tyoo nyote down your ideal morning and night routines for the naxt yahhr."

jog-on-hot-fuzz.gif

Ideal night routine: Go to bed.
Ideal morning routing: Wake up after a decent night's sleep if you can get it.

Boom, done. Get enough sleep if you can. That's all you need to do. None of this superficial, affectatious bullshit that Ruby concocts.

Untitl708456685148768kpkpo.jpg

"NOMBAH EIGHT: Wroyte a thankyou card to your teachahs!"

Ehh, sure, why not.

It's not exactly common to do in the UK after primary school (which is the mindset in which Ruby perpetually lives), but if your teacher worked hard and supported you, why not get them a card and/or a gift at the end of your/their time at school to say thankyou? It's not a requirement. They aren't going to be offended if you don't and they aren't going to grade you more generously if you do. But after that, leave them the fuck alone, Ruby.

Do not send them card after card after card and unsolicited gifts year after year, long after you've graduated from their school. They were hassled and harangued by your "DIDJOOKNYOW?!" bullshit and had their time monopolised by you for your entire time there. They are not your friends or your peers and they are not on the hook to endure a lifetime of stalking from you just because they refrained from pointing out what a complete dunce you are. Give them some peace and quiet for the rest of their life, for god's sake.

But Ruby, if you really wanted to help teachers, you'd stop voting Tory and encourage others to do the same. A thankyou card won't get them better pay, funding and working conditions.

Untitl708456685157457pkpo.jpg

22-year-old uni graduate Ruby then writes an imaginary card to Miss Honey, the teacher from Matilda, because she's beyond a joke at this point.

Ruby's apparently learned to spell the word "difficulty". One word down, the whole rest of the English language to go.

Untitl70845668515747658757pkpo.jpg

"NOMBAH NOIYNE: Clean out your bag thoroughly."

The first sensible idea and it's something Ruby undoubtedly never does.

Untitl708456685157476587579-09pkpo.jpg

It's also just an excuse to shoehorn in undeclared ads for gifted teas and snack bars and lie some more about how tidy and clean she is.

Untitl708456685154647476587579-09pkpo.jpg

She claims she disinfects her bag, cleans it inside and out and sprays it with "hyome spray". Yeah, not buying it, Ruby.

Martha, who Ruby has somehow talked into acting as camera operator, chimes in. "EXXXTRAAAAA!"

"VARRY ACKSTRA," Ruby says. But these are serious times and we can have no levity, so Ruby abruptly cuts away and Martha is not allowed to speak again.

Untitl708456685154645649pkpo.jpg

"NOMBAH TAN: Thryow away annie-thing that yoo dyon't need."

So...basically just Number 1/2 again.

Untitl7084566567585154645649pkpo.jpg

"NOMBAH ELAVVEN: CHACK THROUGH YORE SCHYOOL EMAILS AND MAKE SURE THARR AREN'T ANNIE LYOOSE ANDS YOO NYEED TO TOIY OP."

Did you get all your work in on time? Yes? Then who gives a fuck about your emails. If it's urgent, you'll hear about it, otherwise, enjoy the summer.

This list is also geared towards young children. They're not going to need to check a school email or "tie up any loose ends".

Ruby shows her screen and apparently very important to her is finding out how to accept all edits in Word, so that she can just go "YASS, YASS, CORRACKT ALL MOIY ARRORS ALREADY, I DYON'T WANT TO PRYOOFREAD IT MOIYSALF!" Also of vital news is that London plans to band fast foods from opening nears schools.

And she's been shopping for expensive Guess handbags and watching middle-school mean girl movies again, as she always seems to when it's time to write a book about bullies, having no actual experience with the topic herself.

Untitl70845665675851546456768749pkpo.jpg

"NOMBAH TWALVE: Write summaries about the myost valuable and impworetant and intrassting things you learned this yaaahr, oiythah academically or about yoresalf."

So...reflect on your academic year? Hold up, let me check my notes again...

checking-mail-jason-hayes.gif

Yep, this is just number fucking 6 again, Ruby! For the love of god, eat a fucking sandwich because your brain is utter mush and you should not be providing advice to anyone about anything.

It's also a completely useless piece of advice. If you learned something, then your brain is already aware of it. If you actually enjoyed it, then you're probably going to recall it. Nobody needs to write comprehensive list to remind themselves of all the things they learned and enjoyed to read at some point in the future, unless they have crippling amnesia.

Untitl7084566567585154645676875756749pkpo.jpg

The visual symbolism is completely lost on Ruby...

female-criminal-jail-29663178.jpg

"NOMBA THAARTEEN: Make sure your school uniform is WASHED."

Ruby doesn't do laundry as an adult and never irons anything she wears (her PETA shirt has clearly just been pulled out of a laundry hamper and is completely creased and wrinkled), now she's stressing that children need to make sure they wash their uniform and PE kit and IRON IT.

If you're young enough to wear a school uniform, in all likelihood, your parents/guardian will be doing your laundry. You don't need to worry about this.

Untitl708456656758515erwr765756756749pkpo.jpg

Ruby's desperately trying to prove that she really does her own laundry though, JANUINELY! But since she never does, she just recycles that footage from a while back of her struggling to figure out how an iron works while mummy supervises in the background - the only footage that exists of her holding an iron, because she never uses one.

Meanwhile, everything she wore before this footage and after is creased beyond reason.

"OBVIOUSLY THAT'S VARRY SCHOOL-SPECIFIC AS WAL," Ruby notes. Because small children should definitely be using searing-hot irons.

Untitl708456656758515er0-0=wr765756756749pkpo.jpg

"NOMBAH FWORETEEN: Make sure you clean your wyaaahtuh bottuwww."

Ruby demonstrates how to do this, and as always with her horrifyingly inept attempts to try to prove she does housework, she just gives the outside of the container an awkward scrub and doesn't bother with the inside. No bacteria could possibly have gotten in there. And Ruby should know - after all, she "understands how the world works on a molecular level" because she studied science at A-level.

And apparently you only need to do this once a year, so bear that in mind, too.

Untitl708456656758515er0-0=wr765756756779849pkpo.jpg

Ruby shows that the utterly destroyed chair, which she managed to somehow completely tear apart in one year just by sitting on it, is still taking up space in her room.

Untitl708456656758515er0-0=wr7657567567798909-49pkpo.jpg

NOMBAH FIFTEEN: Pack your school bag a year in advance.

"Your schyool bag is a good vassull fwore keeping avverything togather in one plyace."

If you're in school, you'll be taking a pen and a notepad. That's it. Do it the night before. And even if you forget those two things, you'll be provided them by the school anyway. So who gives a shit? It's not complicated, much as Ruby would like to imply that your life will be ruined if you don't put a ballpoint pen in your bag months in advance.

This was just an excuse to pretend she uses her planner and takes it everywhere with her. Only...if you use that daily and expect others to, then why're you packing it away in a rucksack until next year, Ruby? Not exactly smart, is it?

Untitl708456656758515er0-0=wr76575675677989076876]9-49pkpo.jpg

The stupidity continues unabated as Ruby stresses that this tip also applies to uni students too - "HAVE BIG BOXES, LIKE, BIG PLASTIC BOXES OR, LIKE, CYARDBOARD BOXES. THAN it's kind of RADDY TO GYO WHAN YOO WANT TO HAD BACK."

So Ruby believes that you should prepare for next year by cluttering up your room with the biggest, most monolithic boxes full of random shit which you won't need for several months.

Untitl708456656758515er0-0=wr7657567567798907p-o-876]9-49pkpo.jpg

NOMBAH SIXTEEN: "SAT GOALS FOR THE SOMMAH."

given-up-david-rose.gif

This is number five again!
Sweet Jesus, what a lazy, incompetent, puddle-minded fuckwit.

"We koind of write out own narratives onto things a lot of the toime, syo what koind of sommah do you want to have? You could create a Pintrasst bwoard wi--with--wha--what--you-want to MANIFEST over the somma--[ABRUPT CUT]"

Ruby, this list is geared towards children. Most of the things are specific to primary/junior/high school level kids. 11-year-old kids are not going to have the option of backpacking through Europe and setting their own schedule of adventurous activities. They're not going to plan their summer to "MANIFEST" an idealised life and meet a superficial aesthetic like you do, nor should they.

Just switch off, enjoy summer, do whatever fun stuff you want and have the opportunity to do. But take academia and throw it out the fucking window and forget all about it unless you get massive enjoyment out of it. Ruby doesn't, and never has, so don't let her tell you that your summer should be "productive".

Untitl708456656758515er0-0=wr7657567567798909-097p-o-876]9-49pkpo.jpg

Ruby shoves in some old footage of herself spending time with the young children of her parents' friends yet again, because that constitutes like 94% of her social interactions.

But Blakeney will always be her FRAND, JANUINELY! She might not be returning any of Ruby's calls, but that's probably just because she's VARRY BUSY writing lots of replies to the 1,450,643 unanswered letters that Ruby sent her.

Ruby closes out her latest showcase of stupidity, ineptitude and insanity with another reminder that the planner which nobody wants is on sale now. Don't all rush at once, people.

I would love to see a three hour long documentary where Roobs is tasked with teaching an inner-city state school GCSE English class. I believe she genuinely couldn’t function if she had to interact with 30 working class kids who don’t see her as the super brain head girl. I’d give her ten minutes before we get a close up of this:

That was just a joke; Blakeney carried Ruby's lazy, workshy ass through uni and did half the work for her, so she should get credit for both degrees.
You keep saying this, and I wanted to have a look through your video summaries to try and countenance it, but you've limited who can see your posts. Which videos of hers show this? Because it's quite the accusation (and no proof is collected on the wiki.)
There isn't really any proof to be honest. If she was plagiarising her work, it would have been picked up by her tutors
I don't think they meant Blakeney literally wrote Ruby's papers for her in some blatant agreement, or that Ruby just copy-pasted Blakeney's writing. Ruby seems plenty capable of banging out loads of words herself (as evidenced by her constantly showing of her excessive word counts). It's more so that she seems incapable of critical thinking or coming up with original thoughts on her own. We see this now as she's constantly trying to source information from her fans to write her book. She's good at taking other people's thoughts and conclusions and rewording it enough that it wouldn't be noticed as plaigerism. I imagine a lot of the papers written in these modules contain similar ideas, especially when doing critical writing about a book. University student papers and meant for the student to learn, not that they're expected to deliver some ground-breaking revelation (much as Ruby would love this). I'm not sure tutors are going to find anything suspicious in two students having similar ideas that are probably fairly common year after year.
It's not strange that they would choose to do the same modules the first year, but surely by the third year they would have at least slightly different interests. I think it's telling as well that Ruby very rarely seems to study with anyone besides Blakeney, and doesn't have anything like this set up between other students. I think she knows most people would quickly realize this setup is not as reciprocal as Ruby makes it out to be. Blakeney may have realized this too and either been in denial about it or didn't want to upset the peace with her roommate.

Ruby's going all in on TikTok, and I don't know if she's just losing what's left of her mind or she's just acting especially manic trying to appeal to an audience she doesn't understand on a platform that she's not suited to, but she comes off as completely unhinged and stupidly out of touch in her videos there.

"Oiy wanted to wake up really ARRLY, because I have LYOTS of ADDITING TO DYOO. Oiy have THREE videos to ADDIT. Boht oiy couldn't get up at FOIVE AY AMM because I was up until TYOO. Which was silly because OIY was up ADDITING."

B2%E0%B8%A3%E0%B8%B2%E0%B8%93%E0%B8%B5-bella-ranee.gif

"SYO MANNY PEOPLE...GLYOBALLY are sleep deproiyved...It's ackshually SCARRY THE FIGURES. I can't remember them offthetopofmoiyhead. BOHT. Um. Sleep is one of the BASST THINGS WE CAN DYOO. For our physical halth, for our MANTLE HALTH. It can sol MANNY MANNY problems. Um. Syo. This is just a remoinder to make sure you're gatting enoff sleep."

SilentPoliteKodiakbear-max-1mb.gif

Ruby's logic:

"I have an endless schedule of free time, no job, no responsibility. I stayed up slightly late doing the thing I wanted to wake up early for. I then forced myself to only have 5 and a half hours sleep on one occasion. I am now sleep deprived. RIP me. Stay sleeping out there everyone, you can't all work as hard as me."

Ruby, you have nothing but free time. You set your own video schedule and it's never been reliable, so there's no point pretending you'll start now. You staying up until 2am and then deciding to wake up at 7:30 isn't a hardship thrust upon you, it's just stupidity on your part when there's nothing to be awake early for.

You also clearly put zero effort into editing and just slap random footage together in Adobe Premiere and call it a day, so that shouldn't be especially time consuming.

All those other people are sleep deprived because they have to work long hours, sometimes in multiple jobs, while taking care of children and/or family members while worrying about things like paying bills and affording food alongside all the other nightmarish shit going on in the world around them. They don't have the luxury of excessive wealth, zero responsibility and nothing but free time. You are not like them.

If you want to set an example and advocate for healthy sleeping practices, self care and good mental health, then don't tell other people to sleep more while humble-bragging that you were up late WAHHRKING VARRY HARD AND THAN WYOKE UP AVVER SYO ARRLY. Lead by example. Have a lie in. Show that you slept in until 10am. Most people don't have the option of a lie in every day, but don't tell the impressionable students who view you as an aspirational figure that you never sleep and never eat because they'll just think that's what they need to do to be VARRY PRODOCKTIVE.

Get the fuck outta here with this toxic nonsense.

It's such an ethically icky position to be in to be so familiar with audience members due to the parasocial relationship. It was weird when rock bands in the 70s did stuff with their groupies, and it's weird now.
[...]
I would say even if there's no sexual impropriety, it's still overfamiliar and breaching the ethics of being an influencer with a young audience.
Yeah. 100% agree with the above. Whether there's anything sinister going on or not, it's still inappropriate for public figures with power and influence (which Ruby does have via her online presence) to befriend their fans, let alone those who are underage. It's the same reason why it's inappropriate for teachers to be friends with their students, or therapists to be friends with their patients regardless of age.

It's also worth mentioning that I've seen plenty of minor scandals involving people who befriended younger fans/online followers in a fully non-sexual way, but still caused them psychological harm by exposing them to things they shouldn't have (drink, drugs, self-harm), or treating them like therapists and demanding advice/emotional support, or just generally behaving in a way these poor kids weren't equipped to handle. Sexual abuse isn't the only thing that can go wrong in these kinds of situations.

While it's impossible to know for sure, Ruby's behaviour does appear innocent and rooted in her desire to re-live her own childhood and feel like 'one of the kids' again, rather than anything sexual. That's fucked up in of itself and she needs serious therapy, but that's beside the point. There are still lines you don't cross, and if Ruby's not mature enough to realise that then I honestly don't think she should be on the internet.

It’s actually refreshing to see her have a laugh at herself a few times in this video. She didn’t nail ASMR that’s for sure haha, but I prefer this less serious vibe to her more uptight recent content. This was clearly before she entered starved brain territory.

Erimentha Parker retold from the perspective of downtrodden sibling Nathan Parker. A 1600 page opus. 300 pages of parental neglect and familial resentment followed by 1300 pages about the complexities of child emancipation paperwork.
Imagine if you wrote the book and it got published before Ruby's. 👏

I think if I wrote a Ruby-based book, it would have to be in the 'creepy child' horror subgenre. Cliche, I know, but that's where a lot of her behaviour would fit.

Spooky mansion in the middle of nowhere. A lone alpaca stands on the horizon. Where are the other alpacas?
The mansion - Bones Manor - is overrun with dead insects and cobwebs. Forget cottagecore, this is Havisham core.
There are rumours that the reclusive girl who lives in the house, Flooby, can talk to the insects and summon them to do her bidding.
There are also rumours regarding a sibling - Artha - who has not been seen for many years. Where is Artha? Is she with the alpacas? Are these disappearances somehow linked?
Mysterious fires begin to appear. ''What is that scent?'' one neighbour asks as the flames engulf his garden shed. ''I believe it's Oxford Library Studious Study Scent,'' replies his wife knowingly.
Crop circles appear in the fields. The local farmer has seen a girl, possibly Flooby, walking repeatedly in circles around the muddy field. His eyewitness account reads: Yes, I saw her there. She always returned with her camera. I hid beneath the windowsill and watched her stomping on the mud with her Miss Patina boots pause for product placement to sink in. She began twirling violently like a dervish until she collapsed. I heard the shout ''ALWAYS MAYKK TIME FOR WHHAHT YOU ENJAY DOING'' and then she vanished into the mists.

Later in the story, Flooby is found to be holding her friend, Lake Knee, hostage until she's read every book in the bookshop, River Rocks.
There will be a chase scene in an archive. Re-appeared sibling Artha is searching for key paperwork to find the true identity of their 300-year old ageless-child sibling. Artha searches through the corridors while Flooby follows, pausing only to do creepy yoga shapes and stir a black magic potion made from peas and coconut discs. She whispers, I am eternally a child; that is my identity and the book ends on a cliffhanger.

Meanwhile, her guest hears nothing but random screams from around the house as Mother Granger stumbles from one disaster to the other, falling down stairs, flooding kitchens, blowing up electrical devices and crashing the car into neighbouring buildings.
But how accidental are these 'accidents'? Another question for the book!

Like making this poor unsuspecting person enter the lung-withering manor of dust and disease that Ruby calls home isn't bad enough, Ruby then serves her "friend" the world's saddest picnic on a blight-covered surfboard of squalor. Zero chance that thing was cleaned before slapping this "food" directly onto it.
Oh man. Ruby really doesn't know how food works, does she?

In that she’s essentially regurgitating an overused cliché… yes.

Ruby's really out here just trying to proudly pass off slightly reworded Hallmark card platitudes as her own original writing.

Affirmations: "I am more than the work I do."

I'd hope so, Rubert, considering you don't do any work.

Is anyone else bothered by the name Lottie Parton? Sounds too close to Dolly Parton. Why did she not catch that? (sidetone: she doesn't seem to listen to real music or have any real cultural taste) Maybe it's just an American problem I'm having with it. We all have Dolly on the brain

I suspect that's exactly it, and it's all explained in the prologue to Lottie Parton:

After the hundredth thousandth "Did you know", the local peasants revolt and try to attack Erimentha with her own memorized set of encylopedias (every page personally laminated). Erimentha and her parents are forced to flee, forgetting Nathan in their haste. They are given new identities to protect themselves, and Erimentha decides to call herself Lottie Parton as a fresh start. But, as Lottie herself would say, did you know that history always repeats itself?

(please take Erimentha off Amazon, Ruby!)
That or the big final twist is that Erimentha is now 43 years old and had just snuck into high school under an assumed name.

All that picking and peeling of skin she keeps doing isn't OCD, it's her layers of fake freckles and "age-defying" make-up cracking under the pressure of surprise 4th period geography tests.

She's not just unpopular because she's an abrasive ass this time around, it's also because everyone's confused and afraid of the middle-aged woman lurking around their school. 9-year-old Janey figured out Erimenta/Lottie's secret and had to be disappeared down a mineshaft, along with several teachers who didn't grade her high enough.

Nathan and Mr Aldridge will reappear in the final act to try to put a stop to Erimentha/Lottie's reign of terror, like Van Helsing and Jonathan Harker trying to kill Dracula. But all those years of not eating or sleeping have slowed her breathing and heart rate to a crawl, so Nathan mistakenly believe she's dead after belting her over the head with her own compendium of evidence. He drops his guard and is impaled by a Number 2 pencil.

Alridge is tossed out of a 3rd storey window, but he lands on an inconsequential child with C+ average grades from a low-income family, so it's left ambiguous if he lives to grade another day.

Erimentha/Lottie flees, off to another school in another town to repeat the cycle again.

The final page is her opening up her brand new Autumnal Gourd Productivity Planner and writing a new name in the 'About Me' section: Arabella Cosmina Bouffington-Smythe. Her pen hovers over the 'Age' section... She ponders her choices for her new identity. She puts the pen away in her meticulously-organised desk drawer, full of stationery taken from murdered teachers like trophies. She takes out a Crayola crayon and writes...'Age: 7.'

I'll just enjoy @Gossipguy's recap
Honestly, it's not even worth recapping. It's just all the other Italy content she's already shown before multiple times repackaged with even more insufferable narration, awkward shots of her taking pained single bites of food and holding Call Me By Your Name up next to her face like a prop.

"The WAHRTUH was DEEP TARRQUOISE and SYO CLEAHH that you could SEE the rocks and fish FOIYVE METRES BENEATH."

I've never known anyone to talk in purple prose, but Ruby does it throughout this. It's the most pointless, pretentious video she's probably ever uploaded.

The few highlights:

Ruby: "OIY'VE....AWLWHEYS LOVED PLANES...As a kid, I INSISTED that they were moiy FAVOURITE pahhhrt of any holiday? Mwoar than SHARLEY TAMPULLS, SWIMMING AND SANDCARRSLLES."

Untit546575677574556led.jpg

Also Ruby: Is overwhelmed by sheer terror just sitting in the plane and clutches her mummy's hand in a vice-like grip, holding on for dear life.

Although, in fairness, that might just be because mummy said she'd be leaving Ruby alone for two minutes to go to the toilet.

Ruby rambles faux-poetically about the wonders of flying and oh, what sights you'll see and the majesty of human ingenuity - humans weren't meant to fly, but now they can fly in planes "like red kites" (because planes just hover in the air, wafting back and forth in the wind, tethered to the Earth by a string held by a small child) and see views never meant to be seen by people.

Untit54657567567757464556led.png

...And then she just spends the flight staring at her grimy laptop, so she may as well still be in her bedroom.

She claims to be editing her "article" for submission to a magazine (she later says it's for a competition, and her student ID number is on it, so who knows what the hell this was actually for). Because Ruby is beyond self-parody at this point, the article is about Lewis Carroll and the subject of starvation.

What can be seen reads like a 1st year undergrad essay. And...that's not far off. Ruby acts like she's producing something new, but it's actually just a recycled essay from one of Ruby's 2nd year modules:

Untit546575675677574645547466led.jpg

Ruby gleefully narrating with maximum whimsy and wonder: "The son-sat was SYO misty that it looked...almyost apocalptic? Umm, loiyke the wohrld could be ANDING...Boht that maybe it wouldn't matter awl that moch...becoz...it would be parting in soch...a byeautifol wayY--[garbled edit of overlapping audio]"

giphy.gif

Untit54657567567757464554767577466led.jpg

There's an extended section where the mask slips and Ruby drops the insanely fake overenunciation and talks to her mum in her normal accent. It's always hilarious and jarring when it happens, but especially so when Ruby is narrating with her fake Emma Watson inflections cranked to 11 while trying to talk in stanzas.

Untit546575675677574645547645477577467886led.jpg

Ruby ends on the world's worst, least-exciting cliffhanger: Despite a majority of her fans begging her to keep this contained to one video, she doesn't care what you think and there'll be another 15 minutes of this recycled holiday bullshit again tomorrow.
