If theres one thing Ruby will do its pick the most dramatic classical music she can whilst she shows us a very mundane boring time lapse
In my (admittedly limited) experience, student journals like this follow the normal procedures of a peer-reviewed journal - except that the 'peers' in this case are other undergraduate students (who are editing the journal as an extracurricular activity kind of thing). So she likely would've received anonymous reviews/comments by other undergraduate students who are working as editors for that undergraduate journal. Though how well she coped with that is anyone's guess...She specifically said it was ”an undergraduate journal” so I’m guessing it’s the equivalent of a school paper
I have to say though, hats off to Ruby for persisting on this academic path despite lacking any talent or aptitude for academic work. She's really just making up for it with 1) priviledge and 2) brute-forcing it with endless editing/revisions/time spent writing. Who knows, we might just see her progress all the way up to a professorship with that method! (I wish I was being sarcastic here, but I'm actually not. I can see this happening, and it frightens me)

OT story: I recently had a Bad Spider Experience. I was in the bath and a big spider abseiled down on its string, paused directly in front of my face, then plopped into the water for no discernible reason, where it promptly drowned and floated around me in circles while I was trying to wash. I hate the summer.

I'm watching the new video now (for some reason) so despairing comments at that will be to come but I just have to express how much I dislike her TikToks. They keep coming up on my FYP and I can't make it through a single one, they're concentrated pretension and overenunciation. She clearly doesn't lyove wroiting as much as she says because she's scrambling to churn out as much content as possible to stay relevant and keep those pennies rolling in.

Ruby's old school need to stop enabling her lecturer fantasy. I'm so embarrassed for her that she ASKED to go in. At my school ex-pupils did come in but they were invited by the school and it was usually university/careers talks, not a bleeping lecture. Who does she think she is? This is why the humility act is so weak, she's constantly seeking praise like a child and taking time out of students' actual learning to act superior. I'm betting this is one of her discarded dissertation ideas that she needs validation for.
I'm the same but with tea!!This isn't really related but drinking coffee actually makes me so hungry, like one time I had to go bang on the door of my school's cafeteria and ask for a granola bar after it was closed because I'd just had coffee and my stomach kept growling in class lol.
