Oh but you forget that she absolutely needs an iMac because the larger screen is "perfect for editing"- after all, she is a WRITER who is currently editing her debut novel and that IS HER IDENTITY! Surely you can't expect her, as a WRITER, to do her editing on a run-of-the-mill laptop like us peasants - she clearly needs a larger screen because how else is she going to do all the edits on her sixth (or are we already on the seventh?) draft. It's an investment in her future as a bestselling WRITER, clearly.
"There have been MANY studies which show that my new literary idol Stephen King uses an iMac for ADDITTING and he's VARRY PRODOCKTIVE, syo this was a nyo-brainer. I HONESTLY love all of the many books he wrote which I JANUINELY RAD. Like Roody Hayforth and the Slipshod Redaction. And Misery, which is about a character who is miserable. And hyoo could forgat The Shining, which is about a boy who looks for shiny things in a hotel, which sounds VARRY MAGICAL. Syo I hope to be twice as socksassful as Stephen Kong one day and my Oy-Mack will DAFFINITELY be ESSANSHUL for ADDITTING."

Do we believe she actually had 13k words of something just simply stored away?

Also, Rhubarb, I wish I had time to learn languages and write, but I work all day, cook myself dinner, shower and barely have time to browse on here before I sleep. But please, tell me more about prioritizing.

Came here to say the same thing – so she wants us to believe that there are now, what, two books in the making?

I’m betting good money that at least one of “them” will be set in Paris and/or Italy.

Sorry but her Lottie book she said she's wrote and edited in 6 months and for some of that she was writing other books...you cannot write a quality book and have it fully finished and ready to send off in 6 months especially for a debut

Yeah unless Ruby is going the Stephen King route and is writing thousands of words a day fueled by c, which is hilarious to imagine

Especially since she was finishing her degree and writing a dissertation within those 6 months. They'll all be tit if she's truly done that.

Not to come in and be one of those Apple vs Windows people (the age-old fight) but I'm pretty sure the only reason Ruby doesn't use her gifted LG Gram (which is literally around the same price as an iMac mind you) is literally because it isn't a Mac. She went out of her way to buy a brand new iMac when she literally has a brand new laptop sitting under her bed collecting dust....but since it's not a Mac it's not worth her time. I don't know why she said in one video that she refuses to get the "newest iPad" but then gets a remarkable....and then an iMac...

Most of the YTers I've seen who end up getting gifted one throw it to the side because it isn't "showy" or "posh" enough.

Absolutely. She's had nothing but free time to fill with busywork over the past 4 years and has taken a suspicious interest in YA contemporaries/YA mysteries over the past year. She's more than capable of hammering away with hours of busywork filling a document with words, stolen plot points, a self-insert protagonist and yet more rehashed Erimentha Parker bullying fetish nonsense.

But it's more than likely thousands of words of pure drivel. The fact that she's moved onto another project when the current one is still a complete bleeping mess even after numerous rounds of revisions is hilarious. The sections she was happy to show of Lottie Parton were atrocious. I dread to think what the quality of the pages she kept hidden were like.

The samples she showed in that new video don't appear to be anywhere near publishable.

She claims this is her final draft before her agent sends the book out on submission to publishers, but the writing is riddled with garbled sentence structure and punctuation errors - she's just finished an English Lit degree and wants to be an author, and she's still completely unaware of how punctuation works. The description is written by someone who doesn't seem to have a functioning brain or the ability to picture even a basic scene. How the duck does someone shake their head "ambiguously", or see someone's fingers throbbing at all, let alone from across a room?

Either her agent didn't flag any of that, or Ruby's just ignoring them, writing a new variety of tit every time and assumes she's right. The plot is quite literally just recycled chunks from Erimentha Parker - a snooty little Ruby clone with vaguely-defined OCD/germaphobia has a bunch of evidence on the school bullies she's printed and compiled in a dossier folder, because that's normal in the digital age. But when called into the office and given a chance to snitch, she doesn't, and keeps her evidence on deck for later. Didn't this exact thing happen in Erimentally Deficient?

Check out @Auga 's glorious recap of Erimentha to see that it did indeed - she even used very similar wording. Lottie shakes her head "ambiguously". Erimentha is "deliberately vague" to hide what happened. She has zero imagination.

But Ruby's already stuck a fork in this and moved on to the next disaster. As much as I'd love to see another of her books get published just so we can read and roast them, no way will any of this tit she's writing get sold without a ghost writer. Her agent would be crazy not to drop her as soon as possible.

This is just pure rit, if this paragraph is anything to go by then she has pretty much just written Erimentha 2.0. My guess is that she has read the feedback from her first book and has attempted to just rewrite it but with a less insufferable main character and more realistic bullies…

Post-university Roobee is even more smug, annoying and blind to her own privilege than previous versions. I wish to file a complaint.

Well best make sure to screenshot all the evidence, then print out all the screenshots and keep them in a popper folder. Cause apparently that's a thing young people do when someone has wronged them xD (Man, I really really hope she does get published cause I want to read this mess of a book!)

”Can Roobee write a character more unhinged than herself?” is the modern-day equivalent of ”can god make a rock so heavy he can’t lift it?” 😂 A philosophical question for the ages.

I’m gonna give her the benefit of the doubt; perhaps she prefers MacOS because she’s familiar with the UI and UX and not too tech-savvy to use other OS.

but what irks me the most about her and probably most influencers is that they always accept whatever gift or promotion or ads as long as they get the money, even though the products are not to their liking. At this point they don’t have any unique characteristic that distinguishes them from one influencer to the other.

Ruby could’ve said no to the laptop if she didn’t have any intention to use it, but I hope she passed the laptop to someone else who needs it more than her!

We know she didn't. Best case scenario, she sold it. Worst case scenario it's just sitting under her bed gathering dust along with all the gifts from Martha

she called the big noise in the car "LOVELY", and read "a couple of chapters of family of liars" in the bumpy driving car with big noise on her right head.😅 Right! FAMILY OF LIARS...

Sorry I know that having rocks thrown at you is really scary if it happens in real life but it sounds so cartoonish in that extract that I can't help but laugh.
