She is just desperate for a modicum of personality. She has absolutely no idea who she is.

Also, in case you were wondering. Glad to see she’s being productive and finally organising the months in order of preference, instead of spending her time on something silly like doing youtube or getting a job.

My God, she's only a month into her gap year and she's already starting to unravel

This is just my opinion but ever since the day that Ruby finished University it feels like she doesn't know what to do with herself, I mean I don't understand why she is asking her Instagram followers for recommendations on a dark academia summer activity surely she can do this herself as there are surely many hobbies out there that she enjoys?
Watching her makes me think does she actually know what she wants to do and achieve on this gap year?

Idk if it's just me but I'm just not at all interested in Ruby's degree results cause I'm 100% certain that she'll get a First and a Really Good Grade for her dissertation so there's just no excitement there for me

I’m calling it now. We’ll get a super dramatic, big teary-eyed thumbnail. She’ll pretend to be humble and not sure how she did blabla. We will then see her opening her results for the “first time” and of course she get’s a first and *acts surprised*.

Bonus points if she says something within that video or in her instagram post about it, that immediately lets you wonder how the duck she managed to get a first.

Extra bonus points if she cries because of something ridiculous like her dissertation only being a 71.

I really hope she completely flubs her diss and spontaneously combusts and her new persona is seething about the educational system

But she'll probably lie about what she got

I imagine we'll never hear about it unless she does get a First.

If they're grading her dissertation and creative writing projects fairly based on what we've seen, then her grade should be a 2:1, max.

Ruby's been setting herself up expecting a First for her degree this whole time. If she doesn't get it, she'll just post something vague about how grades aren't important and the system's unfair, etc., but she's still happy and never reveal her grade.

That or she'll lie her ass off and claim AXATAR gave her a double First because she waahrked syoo harrd.

This is hilarious. It's like self-parody.

I mean Stranger Things is quite explicitly inspired by Stephen King's books, particularly It. Like, it's not subtle lol anyone who's seen Stranger Things and has at least a vague idea of what It is about would recognize that.
I find it hilarious to imagine that she's never actually read 1984 and she's fully convinced it's set in the '80s (like, our '80s, not the dystopian 1984 Orwell imagined). I see no other reason to connect Stranger Things with 1984. And considering the weird way she's used 1984 quotes before it's quite obvious she's not familiar with it.
Exactly, there's a few different Stephen King books referenced in Stranger Things, so they would be the obvious choice as a recommendation. However, I really, really cannot imagine Rhubarb reading It. Or any Stephen King really.

I’m sure she said once that she’d read one and didn’t like it but it turned out she’d downloaded a book by a different Stephen King and not the ‘proper’ one. That said I’m not sure she’d like books by the real Stephen King either.

She did a video on books about bullying once and recommended Carrie though whether she read it remains to be seen

That would make more sense. I hope there's a connection like that, otherwise Ruby just seems like a clueless person who's never read the book. Of course, both of those could be true. 😆
She is extremely dumb and previously took a quote from 1984 on brainwashing as an inspiring bit about reading books so (maybe someone remembers that incident more in detail)

She’s marked it as ”read” on Goodreads, so she’s definitely looked at or towards it at least once.

I honestly can’t wait to see what her plans are after her graduation ends. Surely reading one paragraph per day of Call Me by Your Name is on her to do list? 🧐

Did she just say F.Scott Fitzgerald's (stolen from his wife) opulent writing perfectly encapsulates the 1920s...maybe for less than 1% on people at the very start on the 20s but it's hardly encapsulating of the whole 1920s it wasn't all Gatsby parties and flappers.
I realise i'm nit picking but i'm hangry and tired so please humour me
