don't think there's anything wrong with going with your family, even if you're in your early 20s like Ruby is.
The issue here is though, it allows zero room for any personal development. She's constantly surrounded by the safety blanket of her parents and any problems would be able to be sorted by them, she'll do everything with them and the opportunities for independence or exploration are virtually non-existent.
I can't emphasise enough how much Ruby would benefit from solo travelling though. I've done so much of it now and even the small things such as booking things, navigating airports/flights, talking to randoms in hostels and finding things to do are things you gain so much from. Not saying she has to jet off to Malaysia, but even a small break to somewhere in Spain would do wonders.
Do I expect her to do it? Sadly not and she'll continue to live in the family protected bubble. I don't see her undergoing any personal growth this year; if anything, I expect her to revert backwards.
