Wait guys I’ve not been on this thread in a while but have you saw this?

I just googled her book and this post came up
‘Cleans so much she’s basically a professional’ ?

Such a cliche trait for an ‘overachieving, perfectionist’ character to be an obsessive cleaner. Also doesn’t seem to hold any relevance at all to the story as we know it - did Janey go missing after Lottie sent her to the Savers for bleach and microfiber cloths ????

Ruby’s clearly not bothering to do any practical research into that particular trait. I can’t wait for the post on Instragram: ‘I’m writing a novel and one of the characters cleans a lot. What is that?’

Yeah this xD My headcanon is that someone told her she should write a main character who is different from her and that's why she decided that Lottie cleans a lot.. Because Ruby herself in in need of a professional cleaner, rather than being one herself

I’m sure that Ruby’s portrayal of OCD and/or toxic perfectionism will be subtle and nuanced, and won’t just involve the character insisting that she cleans her laptop EEEHVREE DOIY by wafting an AAARNTY-bacterial WOIPE in its general direction.

She literally posted the same question on her Youtube community page yesterday although the wording is slightly different, I have to say it is strange though to see how the scores on her Youtube community page are nearly the same as her Instagram story post.

Ok, I completely misread that and assumed she was asking if people were interested in reading the book that she herself had just finished reading, not reading the book she’s just finished writing (which she wasn’t going to promote to her social media audience …) Colour me confused.
Tbh she doesn't make it clear in her Instagram story which book she is referring too so I think a few of us were confused by this.

I think people are willfully misunderstanding my reading strategy (and the reading strategies of people who read a lot.)
What? No? I don't think anyone cares that much about your reading "strategy " tbh.

As a student in more or less Ruby's position this year who also very much enjoys reading, I manage to churn through and actually read far more books of a similar quality than she has.
As someone in a similar position to her who reads books of a similar level, I managed to read far more, and I'm not even doing it to maintain an online persona and make money
We get it. You read more and better than Ruby. Congrats. Literally most 9-year-olds could say the same thing.

Convinced that this is Ruby undercover claiming that she reads more than herself; she must have performed such an earth-shatteringly impressive feat of productivity that there was a glitch in the matrix

Overall a 76, not bad tbh. She did well enough on her diss, but considering she said she was publishing something, I would have thought she got higher.

This more or less reflects what I thought she would get. She would have come out with the video earlier if she hadn't got a first. It looks like she's not over the moon with it, but she deserves the congratulations anyway.

This also explains why she didn't make the video immediately, she must have been waiting for all the feedback to come in.

That’s it, I hereby declare AXEtah ”overhyped” instead of ”prestigious”. She got a 74 on her diss, and an 80 on her creative writing module, where we know for a fact that she misspelled words (witness thread title) and misnamed the person behind the pseudonym Lemony Snicket. Not to mention the fact that everything, and I mean EVERYTHING we saw was an utter mess.

waiting for the person she paid to edit all her work to come forth and tell all.

I'm watching the results video and I can't really work out the names of the modules she did because of how she speaks 😃

75 on the novel
74 on beginnings

OVERALL YEAR 1: 72.63

YEAR 2
76 on religion and Holocaust memory and public life (please tell me I heard the name of this wrong)
73 on American literature
79 on theatrical and modern cultures of England
76 on 19th century writings
OVERALL YEAR 2: 76

YEAR 3
76 on Charles Dickens
80 on writing for children and young adults
