From what little I've read this character is characterized as a bit dumb and boy-crazy. If this Ruby Granger is meant to be our Ruby Granger, this must be a troll because I can't see a Ruby fangirl writing her like this

Didn't she make her youtube all about how academic deadlines and good grades are very important? Seems like some Tattlers on here are spot on about Ruby now moving away from that academia shpiel. She's graduated and has no content anymore so trying to prove now that academia isn't "all that". Really laughable and not very creative.
"I'm embarrassed" = "I'm VARRY proud of myself but also VARRY humble" in Rubyspeak.
She's incapable of shame or embarrassment, and the grimacing, bodychecking performance here is on the same over-the-top level as her "dramatic readings". She's expecting compliments, and waiting for the people to tell her she should be on the West End for the ego boost.

I love how she's now preaching against the toxic productivity and grade-stressing of academia as though forcing yourself to smile for 30 seconds directly after waking up isn't some of the most unhinged toxic tit she's produced in the past two weeks
I know Ruby is probably messing around to look extra-fail but WOW she looks ill. She looks like she belongs in hospital.
I think people are underestimating how underweight you have to be to be hospitalised (for anorexia at least and with no other immediate risk to life factors) to be hospitalised…

I don't think she's underweight enough to be hospitalised yet, but I do think she's underweight. And with the way she's going, she may well be hospitalised at some point. It may not be now, it may not even be in the next year. But if she keeps going like that, it'll probably happen.
I'd say it also depends on the country and medical guidelines, too, also on bloodwork and the overall image you're presenting to the clinician. I'm not based in the UK, though!
And regardless, Ruby's bleeping with her health long-term. But it's all for the ass-thetic, sure.. duck off, Ruby.
She’a not a candidate for inpatient ED care. Yes, she has an unhealthy relationship with food and has lost a lot of weight, but she’s possibly still in the low end of the healthy range for her height or just slightly underweight. I think her appearance looks shocking because we all remember how she looked with a fuller face a few months ago.
It’s obvious she’s not been enjoying her final year at uni and her dissertation seems to have caused her a lot of stress, maybe that stage of her life being over is a good thing and she can focus on becoming more mentally and physically healthy now. I won’t hold my breath though!
