It's so gross as well because I'm pretty sure an actual homeless person with barely any clothes/shoes etc wouldn't be walking around thinking, 'I'm so FREE, I don't have any THINGS'. Ruby has no idea how people outside of her bubble of privilege really live. Reminds me of Marie Antoinette's model village at Versailles, where she got to pretend to be a peasant.

She's removed her "day in my life" video in spring 2015 too.

Maybe she saw mentions of these videos on tattle and decided to remove them all

omg thank you so much its one of my favourite videos

would be better if she took into account some of what we say here and stopped ed baiting and triggering her young followers

She should remove the "What I spend in a week as a student", I just watched it. Not having rent and spending 150 pounds a week? What the hell. Pretty much everyone I know that's studying right now has a smaller budget then this, including rent. What even was the point of this video. It's not interesting if you're not gonna give tips on how to save money or whatever.

If she's going to start deleting pointless, unrelatable videos, there's not going to be anything left on her channel.

I guess, this one just really annoyed me. It's more subtil, but it also shows that she has a very unhealthy relationship with money, she keeps saying she spent "so much" and justifying the reasons of why she spent the money she spent. One of the comments said that it's fine to spend money on therapy and train ticket because mental health is important, and she liked it, but omg Ruby, you can just buy a train ticket to see your parents because you wanna see them, it doesn't need to be for your mental health, it's fine to spend money without purpose, jeez. That's a really bad take on expenses, because then you developp mad anxiety about every penny you spend "for no reason". And you can developp ways to punish yourself when you "waste" money, to compensate.
There were also a lot of comments about how "she's so good with her money, I spend even more than that on rent alone", wich, I mean, I'm not even gonna comment on that. Another case of her barely acknowledging her privilege.

I agree. Although she was a lot healthier at that age. I wish she kept more of those old videos as a comparison.

She's always been this way. She thinks she's being humble by pointing out that relatively inexpensive things are so expensive, but she just comes off as incredibly fake every time she acts like she needs to scrape together a few pounds to afford a book when she's absolutely swimming in disposable wealth.

That or she just sounds completely detached from reality. Like that time she wanted to buy two books in Waterstones, but forced herself to buy just one so that she had an excuse to revisit Waterstones the following day and buy a book the same time Blakeney did. Because the thought of going to a shop with a friend just for the company and not actually buying anything was apparently too much to comprehend. She can't possibly be seen in a book shop not buying a book when Blakeney does - whatever would the tabloids say?!

So rather than just buying the two books that she was going to buy anyway in one visit like a normal person, she turned the whole thing into some baffling competition with Blakeney and painted it like it was her way of being humble and frugal. And still bought the same amount of books, just spread across more visits in two days.

I don't believe for a second that she's actually conflicted about spending money, or that she ever hesitates to spend tonnes of it. She's just conscious of staying relatable to her audience, despite having no concept of the value of money, so she overcompensates wildly by claiming in videos that everything's too expensive for her because she thinks that makes her down to earth.

She should really just shut up about money entirely. She should either spend money and stop apologising for it, stop showing the things she buys if she has to make up stories and excuses for it, or if her money is such a burden that she feels so defensive and has to justify spending it despite having more than she'll ever need, she should try giving some of it to charity for once.

I honestly had no hate for Ruby before, I hated the toxic productivity and body checking and the showing off of unhealthy portions of food, but I mostly had empathy towards her because she seemed really sweet and struggling a lot. But lately I've been getting frustrated with all of that. Because I used to think she was a bit more aware and genuine than the other straight white rich study girls of Youtube. She's just so fake. She's read stuff about feminisim, human rights and socialism, she is allegedly soooo kind, and yet she seems to be unaware or not caring of all the shit going on in the world. Recycling and talking about the environnment surounded by her thousands 0f books and pens and candles and Harry Potter Merch.
Like, she sells her clothes on depop? I don't know anyone who sells old clothes, my friends and I all just give them to thrift shops, and we're broke students. Even if I cared about the money I would not bother I don't know.
Greed is not a sign of kindness nor a sign of intelligence, I guess she's out of personality then.

Was just saying it's dumb to use milk when you don't need to
For certain kinds of bread you kinda need milk (or a milk substitute) to make them softer and more pliable than regular bread, otherwise it won't turn out the same if you just use water
Sometimes you also use milk to make the buns shinier on top

Also, all of her old videos with Ruby (the other Ruby).

Also missing:

She’s been reading books, several books, about anorexia since at least 2018. I’ve only seen one or two comments in these threads calling her chubby. If you’re looking to blame a gossip thread for precious Roobee’s problems, maybe think again. You’re coming across as a bit of a white knight right now, and it’s never a flattering look.

people on tattle saying ”she used to have a bit of youthful puppyfat before she started starving herself, now she is looking emaciated” is not the same as people saying “HA HA CHUBSTER, WHY DOESN’T SHE STARVE HERSELF“ so have we been reading the same thread or are you generalising to make a point? from thread one people have been worried so i don’t know what point you’re trying to make? people have shown concern for her eating disorder and then become irritated at how desperately she tries to make people worry about her without caring how she is triggering others.

For real, if you think her ED was caused by one or two people saying they think that she looked chubby in the past on a gossip site, then idk what to tell you.

We don't even know for sure if Ruby reads these threads at all or, if she does, when she discovered them

Exactly, there’s always speculation on any tattle thread that the influencer it’s about reads there, but no one can ever know for certain.
Either way, the whole point of tattle is to provide an outlet for discussion and criticism so it doesn’t happen in the influencer’s sm comments and they don’t have to see it. If they actively choose to seek out their thread and read it, it’s not really our problem.
