Also for anyone else interested, she’s revealed her dissertation topic is Victorian Christmas print culture… could there it be anything more Ruby? I mean credit to her for doing something she clearly enjoys just giving anyone who watched her videos a heads up

That seems like such a weird topic to write an English Lit dissertation on. Especially after spending multiple days researching other topics, as seen in previous videos - surely she'd come up with something more interesting??

And she casually mentions at the start of the newest video that she's been 'studying for a couple of hours every morning'. I get that she's going into final year, but two hours a day seems like overkill (although granted, it's probably mindless busywork rather than intense studying)

I don't know how to do a screengrab so apologies but I thought that one of the comments on the latest video really summed Ruby up even though it was likely meant as a compliment--

Also I’m shocked at the surfing videos? I don’t understand how in some clips she looks so underweight/sick and in this she just looks like normal?

Old footage. She's been surfing several times before and likely has a bunch of old photos and footage lying around. In her latest photos of her Devon trip, half the photos she looks gaunt and pale, then in the surfing photos she has a fuller face and a tan and is holding a surfboard that belongs to a family friend from Tenby. Not only are they most likely old photos, they're probably not even taken in Devon.

Ruby gives the camera a death stare while she sits in her massive living room (music room? whatever you want to call it) with all the curtains and shutters closed, (which can I add are massive.) Could be avoiding the tax man after receiving all the money from the holocaust memorial. Ruby if you see this, we haven't forgotten.

She looks stressed and genuinely lifeless and unhappy researching for dissertation topic. I can't see it ending well if she ends up not being able to go ahead with what she chose.

I think it’s because we don’t usually see her in such tight clothes. Her usual style is looser, she often wears black tights which are slimming, and even when she has bare legs the cuts of her skirts give her legs the illusion of being even smaller (or at least that’s the case for me and our body types are similar). She’s also normally in control of the camera angles. It might not be entirely intentional as the vintage style she wears is just cut like that, though I do think a lot of it is intentional. Her style just makes it easier.

Undergrad dissertations don't usually get made public, at least where I'm from. Sometimes my university makes them public for other students to read as an example, but it's rare

Am I the only one who wonders how often she has to stop being "productive" because she has to pee with all the water and tea she drinks to overcompensate her lack of food? No? lol

Chipped nails. Old footage. Prancing through fields. Miniscule meals. Crooked and broken candles. Did anyone catch her little note on the screen saying that she was struggling with her candle but instead wrote "struggling slightky". What an English major. Can't spell or edit correctly for the life of her.

So much for the ole "cottagecore" aesthetic. She didn't even know what a courgette looks like. Enjoy your porridge diet, Ruby. Eating unbalanced meals have a way of kicking your butt later down the road. She will age well before her time and have health issues along with all her psychological ones. That's alright. She can always "pretend" it is fall and everything is just pumpkins and apples!

I saw her thumbnail pop up on YouTube and was shocked. I’m not quite sure why, as we’ve seen her physical deterioration for a while; but I think it’s because people shared the old video a few pages back. The first photo is from when she started Exeter.

I don’t want to say what she will want to hear if she reads here, so will avoid the ‘C’ word. All I will say is that I deteriorated in a similar way across my time at university and didn’t make it to the end of third year.

Ruby, if you read. If you truly love study and academia as much as you claim to…. Please wake up. You will not make it to the end of your degree if you continue this way.

In terms of the dissertation, while you do need to submit a proposal in 1st term, I find it odd that she is putting so much focus on that now, as that isn’t a ‘module’ until second term. I was expecting this video to show her prepping for the modules she has first term!

I’m also slightly surprised that she hasn’t picked children’s literature. I swore it was going to involve Alice in Wonderland, or other Victorian children’s book! Especially as I assumed she may be applying for the children’s lit MA at Cambridge…

Everything she eats looks so bland and boring... She used to talk about food with a lot of interest and passion, in her first year uni vlogs she'd often try out different vegan foods and she didn't seem scared to eat. It's quite sad to see her eat these boring things over and over again.
