Two million quid for a cottage in Sunderland with no land? That you’d have to spend a fortune on to make… normal?

This strikes me as a nervous estate agent going with a price suggested by the vendors. I’ll be interested to see what it goes for!
Footballer?

It's mad comparing this and the house above it, less than £100k difference in price!
And yet I still think the Glasgow one is madly overpriced!

ETA for reference, the Scottish 'offers over' system means they're actually wanting around £750k for it.

Blimey - why not say that then 🤣
I remember with my flat, seeing the price on rightmove, thinking 'i can afford that!' Then coming round, loving it, getting the home report with the valuation and that was about 10k more than the 'offers over' price. And *then* you have to bid at least 10% over that to secure it ( more these days no doubt). I still prefer it to the gazumping system though.

Very interesting, and good to know!

I bought both my flat and my house at fixed price.

When I sold my parents' house, I got a cheeky offer below the "offers over". The OO was actually the valuation price and I said that I wasn't selling for less. After New Year there was a rush of Notes of Interest and the cheeky chappy had the highest bid - he had to pay £40k over the OO though when he could have been reasonable a couple of months before.

Someone posted the 2bed mushroom cottage that was a part of an estate for £350,000 in London. It came up again in my search, but this time I noticed that it also included £12,500+ in ground rent on top.

It's not that special.

I saved this one because I liked the way they decorated.

Absolutely stunning. DH & I had a flat in Ramsgate a million years ago. We moved back to Ireland to start a family umpteen years ago but pics of houses like this make me misty eyes for our UK living youth.

My father in law recently put his house on the market with the same estate agent as the flat he had put an offer on, and because the estate agent was so rude to him he’s taken it back off the market and rescinded his offer 😂 I just love it - it’s not even petty, it’s principled and the EA totally deserved it 😂 serving up a whole heap of actions have consequences 🤣

Love your FIL for that!

Estate agents are some of the rudest people I’ve ever met. And amoral.

I got dogs abuse from an estate agent for going with another estate agent instead of her. Wasted her time and wouldn't get what they were looking for apparently. I got more. Awful woman who felt entitled to list the property.
