Some People!

Chatty Member

I judge a property according to whether or not I could picture a bizarre murder happening in it in Midsomer. This one passes the test.
What a nice, normal family home. Obviously it's massive and has some quietly extravagant features, but that is recognisably a family home lived in by a family of human people. Love it.

I always wonder why they're selling and where they're going.

Like you see a 2 bed terrace with a kid's 2nd bedroom and the master has a cot in it and the wee galley kitchen is cluttered with a steriliser and associated baby stuff and I'm like 🔍🤔 "I see you've outgrown your home", or the sad version where the house is mostly empty of personal belongings, just a few random bits of mins-matched furniture including a single bed in a downstairs room, loads of grab-bars in the bathroom and stuff and I'm like 🔍🙁 "Awwh, they stayed in their own home as long as they could, eventually sleeping downstairs. Wonder if they died or went to a care home?"

Imagine the views and no neighbours
That's just up the road from me. There are six properties in the lighthouse, five of which (including this one) are holiday lets. The person selling this one owns three of them and hasn't got planning permission for many of the alterations made to them, plus because things like the engine room have been converted to living accommodation, the septic tank is woefully undersized for the number of people now using the building and the drains clog regularly. It may look cheap, but honestly, you wouldn't want to buy it!

If you wanted something in this area with a bit of privacy, fabulous views, and some land, try this:

This one has a mold problem and a half, looks like it's currently lived in as well?

How could anyone relax there? Everything seems so cluttered
Ben Fogle’s place has assaulted my eyes.
Also, EATS above the window. EATS.
Was it originally BEATS? FEATS? HEATS? MEATS? CLEATS? Or just EATS. Weird.
if I went to view it I’d definitely add at least one letter at the start with a sharpie.

That view 😍

It's a spectacular place to live, but you're at the mercy of the Bealach na Ba in winter (the shortest road in to get to it):

And in summer it gets flooded with tourists doing the North Coast 500, the 'main' road is right in front of that house.

Have we had this one? Comes with what the plans describe as a "cave", I would say it is a german bierkeller! Watch the video, the whole place is a work of art. Says it is currently a successful holiday let.
