Dear Diary

I’m back!!!! So so good to be back to my home sweet home. But not for long, we are on the move again to a new apartment. I need to buy lots of new HanGers for all my new clothes. Please keep the clothes coming H&M, River Island and Anne Taylor.

I know I told my #RetroFam that I’d fill them in on the whole travelling from Ireland via Mexico to get into the US but sure as the days roll on it seems I can get away with not chatting about it!!!

I mean if everything was fine, I would’ve been able to fly direct from Ireland to the US but .....let’s not dwell. All that matters is that I am reunited with the white couch (actually off white / grey now) and my Tammy.

During quarantine in Mexico, I dropped some hints to Tammy that he better greet me at airport with flowers and open arms. He said he had to work but he made up for it by buying lillies for me and made a potato pizza (my fav)

Didn’t want to risk overweight baggage with all of the unknown about getting back into New Yark so I only have two bottles of ballymaloe relish.

You know the way I always film a packing vlog when leaving Kurry and show people all the food and chocolate and clothes I am going back with? Didn’t do that this time. I wonder will anyone notice? I guess not, as my followers are dropping a lot so on that note, off to buy some more followers.

After all, keeping up appearances is key.

heres my hot take on the escape from Kerry. I am of the opinion that everyone should make decisions that they feel are best for them and their families at this point, while being aware of safety guidance. I don't have a huge issue with her travelling home to ireland and back again.

As someone living in Ireland I can’t agree with this. We have been stuck in perpetual lockdown here unable to travel beyond 5km since December and people travelling here when they were asked not to at Christmas contributed to that.Yes it’s difficult for people abroad being separated from their families but it’s not different for us here who are also separated from ours if they live outside our 5km, which mine do. So no, don’t agree with doing what is best for you if it’s at the expense of the residents of a country you do not reside in yourself and therefore you do not suffer the fallout of that decision. The likes of Erika who swanned in for her holidays contributed to the shit show that was Christmas 2020 for which we are still paying the price here in Ireland and now she’s fecked off again and we can’t even go to get our kids feet measured for their first pair of shoes.

Dear Diary

Sooo much to catch up on.

People sint in so many questions to my Instagram when I told people we were moving. Fir the last 6 months the city hasn’t been as busy so I said sure look we can get a waaaay better price in the Upper East Side and more space for Tammy’s shorts (I mean my shoes but maybe a pair of his shorts can fit).

It’s so stressful moving and we’ve hired movers who pack everything for us. It’s so stressful watching people put my stuff into boxes and unpack it for me. They take everything on the hanGers and place them in the hanGer box and then take them out of the box on the HanGer and hanG it. We also hired Jamie from Horderly for free to organise all our stuff. Its really stressful watching her do it.

I also work with a designer online to get some free interior stuff which is super stressful but good to get a free couch and table and other bits and pieces.

Did I mention it was Tammy’s birthday? It wasn’t ideal to organise the party so close to moving apartment but I guess Tammy can’t time travel to change the day he was born can he?

When I moved to the financial district I’m not going to lie I hated it. It is why I didn’t really show that much of it until I was trapped in Ireland and then came back in via Mexico and basically during that time in Mexico I read some comments I need to show more of downtown, Brooklyn and Soho. So ok I’ve ticked the box but now it’s time to just show what I’m comFORTable in the upper east side and morning stroll in Central Park.

It’s so handy to be near Central Park for all of my shoots. We “boathe” said it’s our last chance to live in this building because in a few years we will have some kids. Speaking of which, I need to get married before having kids AND I’ve only gone and injured my RING finger. I can’t believe my ring finger is so swollen. I had big plans for my Tiffany sparkler and it didn’t involve a swollen ring finger.

I can’t believe Kaelin couldn’t find an apartment closer than 5 streets away from us. If I didn’t know any better I’d guess she was attempting to distance herself from us. Hardly though.

Still shocked no one has bought my Chloe susannah boots. Maybe I should throw in a Dunkin donut coffee and Chick-fil-a voucher to entice a sale?

A few years ago Erika was home for Christmas and she was out in Killarney (think it was stephens day night) and her and Tommy must have been on a “break” cos she went home with a guy I know from home! He put it up on his Snapchat story a pic of her in his bed saying retro flamed or something....he deleted is fairly quickly though!! But anyway, the guy who she went home with is the fella with the abs and the sunglasses that she’s sitting right next to in the group pic by the pool

You're entitled to follow whoever you like, it's your prerogative. Personally I wouldn't want to be friends with a Trump supporter, which Michael Dorgan is. I find it so strange when people say people's politics don't matter. It absolutely does matter in my opinion and has an impact on people's lives. For example when Trump was in office he nominated two extremely conservative judges to the Supreme Court, there's a real danger of Roe V Wade being overturned, it's already extremely difficult in some states to access abortion services. If someone is a Trump supporter, what it says to me is that they don't care about my rights as a woman to have autonomy over my body. So yeah I care about people's politics.
Anyway sorry to derail the thread, I'll get off my soapbox now haha

So four weeks between a vaccine must mean she got her first shot end of March, literally days after she landed back in New Yark after her never-to-be-mentioned Mexico quarantine.

What a life being able to float between two healthcare systems - availed of free Cervical Check while she was home and then headed back for her injections once she couldn’t get anymore from our taxpayer funded health system. She is an actual low life.

- she’s acting like she hit the big time. They have 2x incomes and they are RENTING. That’s hardly a dream come true. I’m sure Tommy earns $150k per year and her probably $80k. You take home about 60% after taxes, 401k health insurance and other stuff. So they could take home $10k monthly, then rent $5k. And then there is just bills and getting around in NYC. It goes fast.
- She’ll spend a fortune furnishing that massive room. She will send $20k in no time unless she lines up some good partners. Plus the next time she moves her big ass furniture prob won’t fit their next tiny townhouse. I see lots to bad financial decisions
- she hired movers which makes moving amazing on its own but she even had PACKERs so what is she going on about. She went to brunch while they did all the work. And it looks like it was FREE.
- she’s acting like she’s so successful in life in New Yark because she is renting a new place.

Update: I’m Irish, living in the US. Bought a place here after 4 yrs of paying stupidly high rents. Lived in several big cities. Know how it works. I’d be more impressed if she was talking about their investments and how to make a go of yourself in NYC. No offense to anyone renting. I’m just saying that she’s not someone I would be influenced by her financial decisions. Investments to Erika are handbags. I just would not be guided by her.

I am American and my husband is Irish and we live in America. We have discussed a few times over the last few months when would be a good time for HIM (not me, as he still holds his irish passport and has his green card) to go back as he hasn't seen his granny in over 3 years and she is getting older. My issue lies with the shadiness of the return. Just be open and honest about it, especially since she documented the entire journey TO ireland. I also work within immigration compliance over here, so what she did as a O1 visa holder IS legal. That is how many are re-entering the U.S right now. HOWEVER, Customs and Border Patrol ALWAYS has the final right of refusal for any foreign national entering the U.S. valid visa or not (even before COVID). Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk

I am sorry I haven’t been keeping up with my diary enteries of late. Truth be told, not much is happening.

Tammy is digging his heels in with the apartment. He wants to live in the lower east side or Williamsburg. He will settle for either but he just keeps saying he hates the upper east side. That it’s pretty boring aside from a few Central Park romantic strolls which we do every weekend. Obviously I will win. But he is pretty adamant about it. Oh well. As long as I get my first choice.

I am really loving the 90s sports casual white socks pulled up over leggings with a “pull over” and white “sneakers”. It’s just so so nice. It’s really such a trend I’ve set.

I will try to sell most of my invistment pieces. I mean I know they were invistments but you can invist for a few months can’t you? I like invistments.

business is so so slow lately so I am trying to get Kaelin to figure out how to drum up more traffic. Kaelin says we should try to film more non pasta, non ketchup, non McCambridge bread style videos and be a bit more “idgy” and maybe film a video of us going to a ristaurant where I order prawns or something outlandish. I will have a think about it.

going to invist in another white Valentino sneaker as an invistment piece to sell on in September. I think I’ve discovered the new stock market.

Hey Erika so as you stated on your video that people are jealous you are back in New York and that you aren’t jealous of people in Australia so why would people in Ireland be jealous. To catch you up on the key difference - the Irish government advised everyone living abroad to stay away from Ireland at Christmas. They advised. Yes legally they couldn’t force people to not return but they strongly advised. You ignored it and I remember you said you contacted the airline and they said it was fine for you to travel. Of course a privately owned airline who is losing money wanted your money.

If you stayed in New York and showed lockdown life there, people would’ve respected the fact it was difficult for you and that you were doing what’s good for everyone.

just to let you know, living in Ireland we can’t travel beyond 5k. We haven’t seen our families in Ireland, in the same country. But you were able to travel from New York, and via Dublin most likely and then to Kerry. So wondering how you were able to break beyond the 5k no problem. Are we all fools in Ireland? Or maybe we just are in it together trying to get through it and it’s difficult to see you fly around and do whatever you want. It’s just the lack of respect you .

you will try to justify it over and over again. But you were not supposed to travel to Ireland in the first place. But sure, you have shown you will do what you want so that’s grand!

By the way, we aren’t jealous, we are frustrated! If all of Ireland did what you did, well who knows

I don't know why she's trying to claim everyone in Ireland is jealous of her being in New York...I live in NY and trust me, it ain't great here atm. Ya the vaccine is being rolled out rapidly but the number of businesses that are closed is shocking, even major retail and food chains are shut down everywhere not to mind small businesses. The city has an eerie quietness to it and there is still a high volume of cases every day, it falls and rises constantly. Yes, things are slowly beginning to open but there's not much to be open tbh. It's pretty sad. And despite the vaccine rollout, I can still see it getting bad here again.

On another note, I have dual citizenship and when I used to follow her I would comment or respond to stories when she posted about visas giving her advice...all friendly on my part because I genuinely know how hard it is to go through the process....well, ANYTIME I mentioned having citizenship for US she would shut me down immediately, not respond or say something abruptly. I could feel the jealousy palpitating from her! It's as if she thinks she's the only Irish girl to ever have lived in New York... the place is literally full of us. You'd think she'd understand that considering the majority of her friends are Irish. I don't have a single Irish friend here in all my 9 years and it's cos I actually branch out of my own culture and get to know people who aren't privileged white girls who think they're above everyone.

Sorry for the rant lol. I'm thinking at this point I'm gonna unfollow here and block her online cos I can't deal with her anymore!

Omg I had no idea, in all my 29 years, that you are not supposed to use mout-wash after you brush your teet. It un-do’s everything. It’s all good though, I’ve been able to let my followers know how to use mout-wash correctly. I’d imagine a few of them in their 60s won’t be happy to only learn about this now.

I am back on a roll with the usual favourites, B-perf. Just looking back on pics from Belle Azzures hen parteey in Miami and my tan was so so nice. I’ll let my followers know the reason my tan was so so nice because of a very expensive exfoliator I was gifted.

I did for a brief second wonder would it be annoying for my Irish followers to see me post a glass of wine at Cecconi’s but then you know whaaat? Life is too short and I don’t owe them anything. I wish I didn’t tell them I would do a vlog telling them all about our return because I really wasn’t bothered. Truth is, I needed to wait for the filler to calm down. And now I couldn’t be bothered. You can put a filter on an insta story but it’s just impossible with a YouTube video.

Really tried so so hard to get in with the Collaborations Agency in Ireland but haven’t been able to yet. It would be a handy one. Maybe they will like my interiors when I move to another one bed beige New Yark apartment. Should I do a complete cream and white bed linen set or should I include a hint of beige?
