Yes her rent would be very high for what they have esp when there is a rooftop/working space etc in the building however they have two incomes coming in. She does NOT have the following expenses to pay for like we mere mortals do:I still can’t figure out how she affords to pay for an apt in NYC , when you see the limited number of brands she works for... like how the hell can she afford to live?? New York ain’t a cheap place,/ and I know people on huge salaries that find it tough - so how she does it is beyond me...
1. skincare, makeup, hair products, and the majority of her clothes- all gifted
2. All the coffees and lunches out im sure are paid for as a business expense.
3. Does she have to pay for Uber? im guessing not when promoting them so no travel expenses.
4. She doesn't cook so the minimal groceries she does buy would amount to very little like ketchup, pasta etc and no doubt mamma fox has sent a supply of dried goods over to be organised.
5. Socialising - zero expense as any cocktail or two she would drink would also either be free at an event or else they are a business expense. Retro doesnt seem to be the type to buy a bottle of wine to drink at home type. no drinking or eating at home really in case the white furniture gets stained.
So weigh it all up, bar her share of the rent, which im sure she can claim some tax relief on as it is also her place of work, she would not spend a lot compared to the rest of us. when i was there, rent was 50% of my monthly pay and i lived in Queens and had a relatively well paid job but as i said she does very well out of the freebies. She could be a much better earner but she is too boring to land the big clients. Her trek to Ireland will not endear her to many either.
