Replica Designer Items

Thanks for the direction but I have googled it and I can’t find any concrete evidence at all of them being made in the same factories. Feel free to share if you do.
Google the supply chain! It’s easy to find. There’s a lot of referenced articles. You can also spend time going through annual accounts of certain designers

As I said feel free to share the evidence. I don’t need to Google anything my research doesn’t tell me that a replica bag is as a good as a genuine one so I’m not entirely sure what you’re trying to prove anyway?

My point remains the same, if you can’t afford it (or think it’s overpriced) it’s not for you 👍

There’s a lot of privilege showing on this thread. If you have enough disposable income to buy designer good for you but don’t get angry that people are getting the exact same thing for cheaper? In my home country in Africa I can tell loads of peoples stuff are fake because I live in the U.K. For them it’s normal bc they want to have luxury but can’t afford it... it’s their choice. Nobody judges anyone for it or cares. Not everyone is rich enough or likes to spend theousands on little leather bags... some people need to or simply put that money else where on more important things. I don’t know how that can make anyone THIS upset🤣 it literally doesn’t affect you. You’re most definitely consuming something really unethical elsewhere because that’s how capitalism works.

If you’re not going to buy authentic...why not buy second hand? The pre loved market is huge, and you can get really good deals, close to the price of buying a “grade A fake”??
I love a site called Luxury Promise who does 2nd hand designer bags (everything from Hermes/Chanel to Louis Vuitton, Dior etc). Mostly it's just me swooning at their Instagram stories but I did get a lovely LV bag which had always been my dream.

Still my dream to save and go into LV to buy a bag new though which I may plan for this year 😍

i mentioned them earlier on this thread, they’re amazing!! What bag did you get?

and what bag are you looking at for this year? There’s a new “designer items” thread where we discuss bags if you wanna chat on there! But yeah, luxury promise are soooo good and pretty affordable for second hand!

Not sure where you live but I travelled to London to buy my LV and went to their store on Bond Street. The customer service is the best I’ve ever received. Give you time to sit with a drink, bring products to you so you can compare them if deciding between a couple and they take you to a separate and more private area to pay. On one occasion I purchased a passport cover and was treated exactly the same spending £150 as I did when I was spending £850. Wonderful service

It's got to be the LV neverfull! They did a range with cats on the bags the other year and the temptation to dip into my house fund pot was high but I didn't 🤣. I got a LV crossbody bag and it came on my final allowed trip to London earlier in December it's very pretty lol

I'm not far from London and walked past that LV shop many, many times swooning at it so that will 100% be where I go!

I can't wait. I've only ever had a Bicester village experience but I know it's not the same. I've had a tiffany experience in London & NY but I feel this will be super special!

the neverful is gorgeous!! My cousin recently bought one after having a baby and uses it as her “baby bag”, she says it’s so roomy and the best purchase she made! It’s such a classic too, you won’t regret it ☺

Neverfull is one of my oldest bags I used it for a long time day to day when I was younger and now use it as a gym bag and I know why it’s called the neverfull. It feels flimsy but it will last you a lifetime 👌 I’m confident the same can’t be said for a replica 😉 invest your money in a real one it will be worth it.

I'm quite low maintenance, I love the longchamp range which couldn't in any way be classed as high end, however years ago a friend of mine bought a fake mulberry in turkey and it lasted longer than her sister's authentic mulberry 😄

:D Hello

Creating this thread from the discussion on the Molly Mae thread. Just looking for experiences from people who have used repladies on Reddit to find a good replica or similar websites. I have my eye on a few and I've read a lot of reviews but I thought I would start a discussion here for advice and to show off purchases. Also help on how to navigate Reddit as it is quite confusing to a newbie!
Does Molly mae buy fakes ?

No its the fact people are claiming you can get the 'exact same thing for cheaper' when you absolutely can't, they're not made in the same factory, they're not made of the same material, i've literally spent days curiously looking through many reviews on that reddit forum and have only seen one rep which looks somewhat convincing, people even review how bad the smell is, so it's fine if you're happy with a plastic bag but just own it, don't try insiuating that people who invest in designer bags are wasting their money and missing a trick because that's not the reality.

What a straw man argument. I’m not annoyed people are getting designer goods for cheaper, I’m annoyed people are using cognitive dissonance and baseless assumptions to justify financially supporting child sex trafficking.

Yes, it’s impossible to avoid unethical goods but anyone with a conscience ensures they shop ethically as much as possible, they don’t just say “well duck it” and throw caution to the wind.

Everyone defending their choice to buy replicas by assuming that those who don’t must still buy rit from PLT, Boohoo, Primark etc... well, I don’t. I choose to spend my money on the most ethical clothing and accessories I can access. Now, that IS a privilege because ethical clothing generally isn’t cheap, but if I had less money, I wouldn’t just say “well duck it” and buy all the tit I want, I’d be looking for ways to reduce shopping with those businesses and avoid the most unethical choices where possible - and not buying designer replicas is one of the easiest ways to do that.

Some of us do actually care what we’re preaching about here, we’re not just mentioning it to try and spoil your fun. I tried to be really tactful in my original post but now I’m just irritated. It’s your choice to shop how you want to, but don’t use these straw man arguments to try and deflect and justify your choices. Just own it - you’d rather have a replica designer bag than care about the unethical and illegal action that it helps fund.

I’ve never pleaded to be innocent so not sure where you’re making that up from. But I can happily say I’ve never carried a fake bag that could contribute to the above crimes 🤷🏻‍♀️

Don’t know why you needed your tuppence worth when I already said we would agree to disagree.

I think you’ve made your point

Just sounds salty tbh, most people can’t tell them apart, they look the same. Quality isn’t but they LOOK the same. Money buys quality. That’s literally common sense. I’ve never owned a fake but what a first world problem to be spiteful that u spent £3000 on a little bag and someone else didn’t lmao. It’s literally just a bag. Wild that this thread was made because people innocently wanted to discuss finding replicas and others swarmed in on their high horses because apparently these designer brands are completely ethical themselves right?

Trust me, I can spot a fake designer bag from across the road. There is no fake even in these magical kingdoms of Turkey and Dubai you speak of that would convince me a fake is as good as the real thing.
