I wouldn’t necessarily say all 4 strokes to 25m as the butterfly is hard.
As a swimming teacher I might horrify other swimming teachers here, but IMO children who can swim on their front (front crawl/ breaststroke) and back (back stroke/ back kick) for 25m, that would be sufficient. And by swim I mean confidently move from A to B. If you were in difficulty in deep water, technique would go out the window, so swimming the butterfly would be unnecessary. Doggy paddle would even work as it keeps the head out of the water to call for help.
Of course I teach correct technique, but it’s understandable when a lot of parents stop when their children reach a certain proficiency due to cost, etc.
Grabby however, hasn’t invested in this life skill at all. Let’s hope it could be in her kids futures. It’s never too late for them to learn
