Not sure I can stomach that. If I watch it I might have to fast forward. How weird, if it was a human my stomach wouldn't turn as much. Maybe it's the animals lack of understanding of what's going on Vs a humans.

Yes Professor David Wilson is the best!! Does he still work at the University of Birmingham I wonder? I'm Midlands based and did look for any public speaking he did but alas, there was none. BBC Scotland shows might be on iPlayer?
He does still work there. I went to a book week scotland event last november and he was the speaker. Absolutely fascinating, great orator as you would expect. A very nice, charming man too. I got to ask a question too which I was chuffed about 😂 He has some great stories to tell and his book is worth a read. You might get it on I player or you tube, it's on the 2nd series now.

I spend a hell of a lot of my spare time on crime/murder reddit threads. I thought I was the only one! What IS it about it that’s so bloody fascinating??

Years ago now but I enjoyed The Widower- the one about the guy that killed his wives and almost got away with it and Catching Britain’s Killers about double jeopardy. The Mum in it was amazing.

Oh yes I remember. It has Reece Shearsmith (who I adore) and Sheridan Smith in. Such a good series.

I thought of another true crime doc that's worth a watch. Its really really sad and could be triggering for some, so please research it before you watch. It's called Goodnight sugar babe and is on amazon prime but I think you could get it on you tube.

Who watched 24 Hours in Police Custody?
you lot have made me realise I've missed something with this series. I've never seen it as I presumed it would be about drunks rolling around in a cell overnight but I'm going to watch it tonight. Planning on hibernating in January to save some cash!

Yes me! I love that show. Thought it was cut and dried until I saw the preview of tonight's show... more suspects!

Bookwise I also loved The Jigsaw Man. Can highly recommend Unnatural Causes by Dr Richard Sheperd too - it's by a forensic pathologist who's worked on some of the most high-profile cases of recent times; the Hungerford Massacre, the Princess Diana inquiry, and 9/11. Gruesome at times but so fascinating. And Fred & Rose by Howard Sounes, a really detailed account. Killing for Company by Brian Masters too, all about Denis Neilson who murdered young boys and kept their bodies in his house. For company. Obvs.

Some of the old episodes are on 4OD I think - it's a brilliant series and I highly recommend you get binging!

Ah yes the guy who does the Autopsy shows on channel 5 too - excellent man. I'll do a hint for that too - thank you.

I agree about the episode but I was waiting for the twist given it was a 2 part-er. Exciting!!;

Ok, so my new trial that started yesterday (still waiting for the first news report where we find out the prosecution's case - first day is usually just jury selection) which I just thought would be a bog standard drugs murder has taken a bit of an interesting turn. The victim is a lot more colourful than I thought.

During my pre trial checks 😂 (code for more internet stalking as I can't remember anything about why I thought this one would be worth following) I have found out the following:

1. Victim was an ex semi professional footballer. Career cut short through injury.
2. Signed with a very dodgy looking model (porn) agency called "Model Mayhem" and this was deemed newsworthy enough to have made the papers!
3. Electrician but was learning to DJ who loved Ibiza according to the news report.
4. Victim had a bad car accident about nine months before he was murdered. A crowd funding page was set up and £8,500 was raised for a prosthetic arm for him.
5. Someone commented on Twitter that he'd had his problems since the accident.

I'm definitely still thinking drug related - all the signs are there - but maybe leaning more towards pain medication. And obviously, he had two of the most dangerous professions going - "aspiring DJ" and "promising footballer" - and liked the limelight. Electrician and aspiring DJ scream "drug dealer" as well.

Two people charged with murder and four charged with perverting the course of justice/assisting an offender including one of the murder defendant's wife.

Have you seen/read Mindhunter?
No, I will look into it!

Also @Be More Pacific your name amazes and infuriates me in equal measure 😂
Ha! I REALLY wish I could take the credit for it but I saw it on the Digital Spy forums years ago and always secretly coveted it so, when I joined Tattle, I seized my chance 😂

I am in no way affiliated with the Be More Pacific on Digital Spy, any views are my own, etc etc etc 😁

Homicide for the holidays, forensic files, snapped, 24 hours to kill, Britain's taboo, homicide hunter, any thing to with murder. Crime or police i love
Responsible child is a good one its on bbc iplayer
I recently watched the act (based on gypsy rose)
I recorded Responsible Child - trying to bring myself to watch it. If it's anything like Boy A starring Andrew Garfield then it will be tough.

that’s it!!!
Bloody good aren't I?!! 🤣🤣🤣

Best crime documentary - Paradise Lost. Damien Echols that is on death row for a crime he did not commit.

Love Dateline, Keith Morrison has the sexiest voice, and i usually put TV on sleep whilst his show is on. although its crime related he has a very soothing voice :giggle:

Unheard the Fred and rose west tapes is an interesting podcast

I love true crime.
You can actually go to the old bailey to watch high profile cases, I really wanted to but couldn’t find anyone to come with me 😂
You can go to any court and observe. I did some observing in magistrate's court a few weeks ago. It was really interesting actually.

I'm joining in!! I will be interested to hear your opinions 😊 I really got into the Armchair Detective on YouTube who covers real life cases, but I also love Nordic Noir dramas, Spiral etc. The Staircase really bothered me 🤔
I love French crime drama, as wanky as that sounds. It's so much more bleak and grittier than ours.

The investigator: a British crime story on Netflix is brilliant.

I love Mark Williams-Thomas
I found that painfully slow. I actually gave up on the second one.

Omg I love a good 'real life' murder (I'f you'll pardon the pun). The fascination for me is how they piece the evidence together. I watched The Keeper recently about a nun who was murdered way back and it unearthed all kinds of corruption in the Catholic church. I feel like this is like a self-help group, my hubby thinks I'm bonkers lol

Did you see on the news about the couple stabbed to death on New Year’s Day? I figured out it was her ex husband before they released his details.. I thought it was SO obvious!!!
I also religiously followed the case of Amber Peat but that seemed to fizzle out and it frustrated me there was no ‘real’ outcome.
Yes. Trial date set for 24th August. It's on the calender! I have a feeling he might plead guilty early. If not, double murder with a knife brought to the scene is 30+ years I would say although he likely has no previous convictions (given his job) and may cite loss of control as mitigation so that could bring it down.

Yess finally! This is my jam!

Not a Docu but R5L was discussing the case of that man who befriended elderly lonely people within church congregations, gradually drugged them, had them change their wills and murdered them. He was also applying or in the process of being ordained (sorry for being vague..)
Ben Field. There's a programme about the case on C4 soon - it was advertised during 24 Hours in Police Custody last night. I'll post the date & time later.
