The only article I could find about Logan was The Telegraph and it was behind a pay wall so šŸ™„

I agree about the moving mugshots and they are heavily used throughout all 3 episodes. They also refer and I think play a little of the tape that recorded the torture of Leslie Ann which I found distressing. Apart from those two things, it was very interesting. I thought I knew quite a lot about Hindley and Brady (live local too) but there was things that I had no idea of.

I followed Starā€™s too, the local journalist covered it well. I would follow this one too depending on the level of website organisation. Arthurā€™s I just kept getting jumped to the top of the page so mainly gave up in trying to get the daily details. Relied on the paperā€™s roundups. But really, the details paint the full picture.

Although not a rule book, itā€™s the same old sorry story isnā€™t it, but with names changed. Vulnerable low esteem mother hooks up with deadbeat, petty crime-low life controlling man who loves to use his fists. A few months or short years later one of the womanā€™s kids is murdered following a pattern of abuse. When will this crap end?? How many kids out there are in the midst of this horror right now? ā˜¹

Anyone from the Yorkshire area....would the Moors murders still be a talking point locally in the area or would people prefer not to speak about it?

I'd imagine a few tourists would still visit the Moors because of its connection to Hindley and Brady?
Saddleworth Moor is Greater Manchester not Yorkshire. I live fairly close. I wouldnā€™t say itā€™s a talking point really these days and is more viewed as a famous UK crime that everyone knows about - like the Yorkshire Ripper or Harold Shipman. When I was a kid in the early 80ā€™s it was definitely more of a talking point and people would regularly go up to the moor to search for the missing bodies.

Do we think the young boy killed poor Logan and the dad and Logan's mum covered it up? As it said in the DM today that the boy had been talking about the terrible thing he'd done and also how he liked punching little kids in the head?
It does sound that way doesnā€™t it. The ā€œyouthā€ that they refer to sounds like heā€™s heavily involved, including with hiding Loganā€™s body. At first I wondered if it was a complete accident but as more comes out about him it sounds like he could have been bullying him.

I've been following the first couple of days of Logan Mwangi's family's trial. It's adjourned until Monday. Would it be cathartic to have a thread dedicated to it, like the ones for Star and Arthur? Poor boy, another one lost under cover of Covid.

That's something I brought up on another thread, (savannah & frankie thread) I'm planning to create a thread for it shortly. So, so very sad. šŸ˜ž

I'll join you on there. I haven't heard anything about this case until now. Is the husband the victims step-dad then?

I watched the Moors Murders documentary today and found it fascinating - especially the mugshots. I've just asked DS (19) if he's heard of the Moors Murders or their names and he's said no (we are in W Yorks). I always think about it when I pass the sign for Saddleworth on the M62, such a bleak place.

Poor Logan what cruel people he had around him. Do you think the "youth" is Cole's son? And in the court transcripts I wonder who the woman she is trying to blame on the 999 call is. Also when it says the social worker was on the doorstep and Cole asked about benefits and then told her she could f*** off now. What a scumbag.

This is weird.

There's this and then there was was another doctor recently on trial for injecting food in supermarket with blood-filled syringes. I believe the trial ended without the jury agreeing whether or not he was responsible for his actions.

That chilled me. I shop on Fulham Palace Road often.

There's a couple of accounts I follow on Twitter that specialise in this. People have old photos of dead relatives - and they reanimate them, and can actually make them blink and smile. When done properly its beautifully touching - seeing two dead mass murderers is quite unsettling.
Can you list names of the sites? Think people who do that are great to try and bring closure. X
