i was watching this and i’m trying to find info for the first case. 18 year old John Threlfall in Lancashire. apparently a woman entered a store asking for directions toward the street he lived on and seemed upset/in a hurry but when they interviewed everyone on the street, none of them said they were expecting a visitor.
i’ve tried to find answers but i can’t. does anyone know anything?

This case is really baffling me. I don't get how 4 people were stabbed and the other 2 roommates didn't hear anything. Xana obviously tried to defend herself so would she not have made noise? As for Kaylee and Maddison I think something came out that they might have been sleeping in the same room so would one of them not have woken up while the other was being stabbed and tried to scream/call for help?
The other two roommates have got tattoos in memory of them which is nice but surely if your friends have been killed a few days ago your first thought isn't 'lets go get matching tattoos'?
The police are also saying the attack was targeted but what could 4 people have done to be targeted like that. Surely only one of them was the target but then would the killer not realise that there are 5 other people in the house. Why only kill 5 because if it was targeted and there was no forced entry then they are someone that knows them and therefore would know that there are 2 others living there. Why weren't they killed?
From the couple of podcasts I’ve listened to about this the two survivors were on separate floors - I think the building is 4 or 5 floors. (also been described as being like a separate apartment ‘it even had its own entryway’) and their bedroom doors were locked.
I also heard on one podcast the roommate who survived whose room was closest to the murders did hear ‘something’ but knew her other rooms mates had company/thought they had a boyfriend over and they were getting food from the kitchen so just fell back to sleep.

I saw on a reddit thread that the wording the police are using makes it out that overkill was used on one victim, so maybe 1 was the target and the other 3 were collateral damage.
there's also talk about Xana's mum being a drug addict, apparently she was arrested a few days ago. would this make Xana a target?

I feel that with the police obviously being aware of which person was targeted more than the others, they will have an idea of who it was. Would be a lot easier to narrow down a motive I would think?
One was by murder with my husband and I think the other one was on the criminology podcast but I can’t find it in my playlist so I’m not definite. Someone on Reddit recommended the killed for what podcast as they have a timeline episode but I haven’t listened to it.
I know, you just can’t imagine how many times a day they think ‘what if’.
There are so many things that don't make sense!!
- Who rang 911? I saw one woman say that the surviving roommates rang some of their friends the next day because they were worried that someone on the second floor was unconscious/unresponsive and then a friend contacted the police using one of the surviving roommates phone at 11.58AM. Why didn't the roommates call 911 before friends?
- The calls to Jack? Kaylee called him 6 times and Maddison also called him. Police have ruled him out as a suspect but I saw people saying the girls might have been calling him to hint it was him who did it to the police.
- The girls who found a man in their car? A community report was put out that 2 young women left a residence and went towards their car where they found a man sat in the front seat. He then got out and chased them, they ran away and called police and the man fled. The police cannot find this man. He is reported as being an 'overweight white male in a yellow shirt with dirty blonde to brown hair and a a scruffy beard'. I saw some people say this description matches one of someone in the live stream from the grub truck where Kaylee and Maddison were. It probably isn't related but still scary.
