If she addresses it, she will play the 'this is all new to me, I haven't a clue about these events, had I known the scale of it I wouldn't have gone, I'd never put anyone at risk, I'm very careful blah blah blah. .

I'm actually so disappointed that she chose to flog a washing line over speaking about this.

She's no fool as much as she plays that side up to camera! I'm glad in a way that people are starting to see a particular side to her now.

I hope she doesn't come on today with an ad. Even if she thinks she did nothing wrong then why is she not on....

She deleted the black sack post because she got messages that it was inappropriate. I could be wrong but I'm nearly sure that was a few days after they buried Daniel. She defended herself and said if it made her and the girls smile then why shouldn't she do it which is fair enough. However as someone said above she also try to get it trending. She might break it out again for Halloween. She did look great in the black sack costume she made.
It definitely wasn't a few days after she buried him so please dont make up stuff. Better to stick to what she is actually guilty of. She was offline for a couple of weeks after he died so the black bag thing was at least a month. She got hammered for putting a smile on her children's faces, I personally hadn't a problem with it.
This Belfast thing will blow over and she will continue to rake it in.

It was two weeks after he died she was posting on her grid. She was posting earlier than that on her stories. I can’t remember when the blackbag was and it’s deleted now. I don’t think anyone would give out about making her children smile but I bet they weren’t smiling on their daddy’s 6month anniversary while their mammy was ona party bus.

Unfortunately, she posted 3 grid pictures the day he died, and the 3rd and 5th of April also. Then has it on her highlights, within a week she has Daniel's passing. 14 days after he passed, she posted her master bedroom shot where she couldn't wait to get stuck in to finish it. In those two weeks she had several stories. And constantly from then on.

For that price I'd want the washing line to hang the clothes up themselves.. then fold and put them away and then maybe gimme an orgasm for that jaysus price 🥴
I actually bought one 3 years ago, and they are brilliant! I have no tumble drier, but have dry clothes all winter! Its more than paid for itself by now, as my electric bills are much lower since getting rid of my drier🤷🏻‍♀️

She did say she wouldn’t be on, until she was ready, then was back sooner Than Id expected anyway. My friends husband died and she didn’t change the bed sheets for months as they had ‘his smell’ on them. I remember how upset she was when she eventually took them off 🙁 she then began to sleep with a jumper belonging to him. I think in the year of mourning that followed, very little was moved/changed in the house. She also messaged Rachel and sent her some advice re counseling for the kids (free) and organisations that helped her. She never got a reply, but put it down to grief.

She won’t address it, none of them ever do. It hadn’t crossed my mind how terrified her kids would be if she caught Covid. They would be fearful that might lose their Mum. It was selfish of her and those other idiots.

Even without COVID her oldest girl im sure would have thought that as she’s already lost one parent. One of mine would be an anxious child and asks me a couple of times a week to promise I won’t die. I’m not sick or anything just a worry he has.

I think I remember Rachel saying that Daniel hadn't slept in their bed, or rarely did. He had been in hospital and slept in the living room at their house in his final days, so I dont think the bed had as much significance in her case as it would for those who lost a partner who slept in their bed. So I dont think it was particularly cold/strange in that context.

Also the house was being finished all throughout this time. So its not like she was changing things that had been a certain way for years while Daniel was alive. Its a little different than most scenarios where people keep things the way they were when the person was alive, because its a nice reminder.

Not saying this to you in particular just generally speaking!

As much as i agree with you fully.

I dont think anyone has the right to use the term "turning in his grave" I know its an expression used. But just abit hurtful and unfair to other family members reading this chat, I would be very upset seeing that being wrote online about someone I knew.

The truth stinks alright! As for having the right to use that term I think you may find I do. Did Rachel have the right to go to Belfast? Does she have the right to fake grieve online and offer the world an insight into what grieving is like? Maybe, maybe not. She’s a selfish git. Well able to take off on her freebie to Galway but left the kids at home! Why not bring them instead of her mam and sisters? Did they not deserve a little break away too after all they’ve been through? No she didn’t! Because she wouldn’t be able to go out sipping gin and cocktails all night and it wouldn’t make for insta worthy content having 3 kids traipsing around Galway after her. There were a lot of restrictions brought in in the last 7 months but thankfully we’ve held onto our freedom of speech 👍

Im sure you arent picture perfect, so let's just imagine someone saying something about your loved one "turning in their grave" its dam right disrespectful, considering you don't know the girl or the family, you have a cheek. End off

Or better yet, how about bring Daniels family on the Galway trip instead of her mother and sisters? I think his family would have deserved it more!

@JakeMcEvoy no worries 👍
I didn’t actually know he hadn’t slept in the room. That makes more sense to me now. And I completely get the house build/renovations not holding a sentimental part too.

Look, whatever about her past, what she did, what didn't do, the fact of the matter is today she has had ample opportunity to address her presence in Belfast. To admit she shouldn't have been there, especially demeaning to those very frontline workers who cared for her husband only 6 months ago.
There are no excuses.
If she can post on insta hours after her husband died, I'm sure she could have posted about the bperfect scenario. But I don't expect her to now. I don't even expect she's been advised to lie low, that cunning woman knows that already.

Maybe I am picture perfect. How do you know! My mother’s first anniversary is approaching in 2 weeks time and my dad has just been diagnosed with terminal cancer so I’ll speak however I damn well like. I didn’t go outside the door after mammy passed until August and not out of some notion of respect but because I had zero interest in living my best life while grieving for my mother after caring for her in her last 7 years while she slowly turned into someone unrecognisable. I understand grief, and no one for a spilt second would say my mother would be turning in her grave. Why? Because she had a family around her who loved her and cared enough to keep her where she belonged despite how hard it was when plenty of others would have put her into care. We still all maintained our full time jobs doing this and nursed her at home until 4 days before she died. That’s what you call love and respect. And now we’ll do every bit of it again because now our Dad needs us. End of

He may have at an earlier stage, but from what I recall, he hadn't been while sick so I dont think it held much significance as a result. I would be very similar to others in that when a loved one passes, I try to keep them "alive" in other ways, like keeping things the same way or whatever, so I get why it could look a bit strange to some. I am very sentimental about things though!
