I used to work in a job like that (residential school, but similar) and we would sometimes go in in joggers depending on what the plans for the day were. Not sure what kind of school she works in (and, Rach, I don’t give enough of a shit to go look 😀) but with our kids it was actually better to wear joggers with certain kids as it made it easier to either sis in awkward positions or RUN FOR YOUR LIFE if they absconded and you had to follow!
Definitely the type of school that you wear comfortable practical clothes in. She will be working with a vast array of different needs. One minute ducking a child who has dtsregualted and thrown a table across the room. Student who may have soiled themselves and wiped it up the walls or lift / trsnsferring children into standing frames etc. The school provides for children from 3 to 16 16 to 18 on another site.

He isn't at a private school. He's at the same school as Hannahs youngest. Does have a good reputation for sen kids.

Where I am - Aberdeenshire there is categorically zero 1:1 support offered to ASN kids. They need to have a medical need before any funding would be granted. My youngest spends the mornings in a nurture room and afternoons with the class.
I’d say your child needs a specialist setting if you can get one. Shouldn’t be separated from the class.
