Child’s farm didn’t work for me either! I was so sad about it, since I’ve heard it working so well for others 😭

I was diagnosed with guttate psoriasis when I was 27 which I got after a bad case of tonsillitis. It cleared up really quickly on my legs using a steroid cream (Dovobet) but I was also having regular sunbeds.

It returned with a vengeance a few years ago on my scalp (so hard to treat), my elbows, my ears (behind, around, inside -so itchy!) and patches on my legs, arms, face, hands. Some have come and gone but the elbows have remained and nothing I’ve done has shifted that.

I think psoriasis is really sneaky because you can try something that really works only for your body to catch up and it to start failing again. For me sunshine and Dovobet have worked to clear completely although I’m very sparing nowadays with the use of steroid creams. To just manage I find a very rich moisturiser keeps the flaking at bay. The Body Shop Hemp body moisturiser is good. I tried another one with Dead Sea minerals and that was great but too expensive to use regularly!

I had eczema as a child really, really badly but have managed to grow out of that in the most part. I think dairy is supposed to be bad for eczema.

Re: drinking water - I drink at least 3 litres a day every day and I’ve found it makes no difference to flare ups. Stress, tiredness and alcohol are my triggers.

I’ll give the bepanthen and the Child’s Farm stuff a go and happily report back. It’s always good to share success stories.

I have psoriatic arthritis. Started when I was 22 and took 2 years to be diagnosed. Do you know what meds?
I have PsA too! On mtx and etoricoxib which work well for me although there's talk of switching to simponi injections.
I use Enstillar foam for my skin when its bad and its amazing but does contain steroids

I’ve been quite lucky for a while, I get some pain when it’s damp and occasionally when I’ve done quite abit or cycling, it was so bad a few year ago I had to have my knees drained 🤢 and steroid injections. Since then it’s really calmed down.
I’ve had to give anything with steroids up I have quite olive skin and I found I was burning die the first time ever.

Still undiagnosed! Awaiting scans 😬
It’s a long old process. I remember being 24 and having MRI scans and a much much older specialist telling me I had growing pains and it was very common for young girls to get this. Some days i could barley walk 🙄 and that was only 4 years ago

I’ve had psoriasis since was a child, I used to have to be wrapped in steroid cream and bandaged up every night, I was undiagnosed for a long time before I went privately and had a biopsy. For a good few years after the first treatment I didn’t suffer to badly.
It would sporadically come on and I’d be able to treat it with an odd sunbed but also I was having holidays 2-3 times a year too so as you’ve all said the sun helps!

anyway suddenly I had a massive flare up I was covered head to toe again, my doctor put me on creams that didn’t help.
Deciding enough was enough I searched for a doctor that specialised in dermatology and luckily one of the best in my area actually worked in my doctors surgery 🤯
Straight away she looked and prescribed me with the best treatment I’ve had!
I’m on enstiller which is a foam spray, have to use adex gel as a moisturiser aswell as using it in the shower.
There’s a couple of other creams I have to use in between too as the enstiller can only be used for 2-3 weeks and then you have to have a break from it but it’s the enstiller that has worked the best.

Snap! I developed guttate psoriasis after a strep throat at 27. Was covered in speckledy measle type spots for over a year, all over my legs and arms and hands. Dovobet was good at 'clearing' it, or masking it I suppose, but I didn't want to be using steroid creams indefinitely. I've scanned the thread but haven't noticed anyone mention Vitamin D supplements. This really helped me. And stopping smoking. Nicotine seems to feed psoriasis.

I’d love to share and show my photos but I know they’d give me away!
I’m going to look on my repeat prescription tomorrow and see what all the ointments are I have.
The tropic tamanu balm helped smaller spots especially on my neck and face!

but the adex and enstiller are my winners.
I’ve been offered light treatment and a more tests but I’m quite happy to continue with what I have

I've had it since age 9. Stress and change of temperature ( hot and cold) seem to be my triggers. Elbows and huge patches on lower legs are my thing, they have had many periods of becoming weepy and unbearable with itching. I'm currently totally free of it for the first time in years. It's so strange to have clear elbows! No patches on my legs. Even my scalp is good. All I am doing is I take a monthly Doctor subscribed vitamin D capsule and I quit my miserable stressful job. I am careful not to shower daily or over-wet my skin and I have noticed that moisturising has never ever helped. I have just read those articles about dry treatment with great interest. Steroids have worked in the past but only very briefly. It's an absolute tit of a disease!

Awful isn’t it. I started age six and it really ruined a lot for me growing up. I’ll try the vitamin d

I’ve tried this but mine is mostly facial and scalp psoriasis and I ended up with a raging ear infection from trying to wash the enstilar out my hair 😩 it’s meant to be amazing for the rest of the body though.

I’m 3 months into methotrexate and no change so far :-(
