Jamie sounds like a nasty piece of work, his partner failed that baby too, I’d be interested in his defence as he was the one that went back to work but receiving the inappropriate photos. But also locked out of the house when his partner took Preston’s life. Did he lock him out to to horrible things? With Jamie being open about struggling to colleagues his partner should have escalated this or stepped up. This video shows the partner actually appears to be the dad whereas Jamie is distant. Poor baby, deserved better.
Poor, beautiful, trusting little boy.

I could tear them to pieces myself with my teeth.

Just reading today's live updates from the Manchester Evening News and it seems that Preston's mother was going to contest the adoption:

Hardly a great prospect as a parent is he?! Maybe sort your life out before you go adopting a child. Also, I may be wrong, but I seem to think it’s a regular occurrence for people to contest adoption of their kids. I’ve seen too many TikToks of “social services took my kids for no reason”. It’s beyond heartbreaking for the birth mother all the same, whatever life she’s lived. I can’t imagine how she feels knowing he was taken for his own “protection” and handed over to monsters. And her poor family as well.

Most parents in that situation say they will contest it, but rarely do.
They will say they don’t agree to the adoption but few formally contest the court outcome of placement order.

The audacity of him sending an article about post-adoption depression!? Have you heard anything like it. How can that be a thing for him! Bear in mind he only took that baby for 4 months before he killed him. So far he comes across as a whiney, self-absorbed hole and that’s before we get into the abuse and murder.

And that's just what they took videos of. I do think they adopted him for the purpose of abusing him. Why was he having so many seizures? It must be the constant abuse and torture

The bit about them shouting BOO when Preston had only just fallen asleep broke my heart. Poor little Preston in a strange house just trying to get some rest then they startle him awake on purpose and laugh at him.

Confused about John's job he worked in sales right? How come some papers are saying he has a child facing role and he used to work in south shore academy as an exams invigilator?

Exam invigilator jobs are usually casual and only for a couple of hours a year so a lot of people do it for a bit of extra cash, so could be that? Not sure about his actual
Job though

Yes, he seems to have been a sales rep but I'm sure I'd read somewhere that he'd been employed in education, and I thought it was tutoring but it could have been as an invigilator.
It's something he could have done alongside being a sales rep, I suppose.
Varley probably got him the job in the school, as it's the same school as he worked in.

This has absolutely horrified me. Wtf did they do to this poor boy.
It's a chilling case because on the surface the defendants look like well meaning people that are trustworthy. The witness statements of their friends and colleagues show they believed Preston to be well looked after but the parents to be over whelmed however the forensic evidence paints a completely different story - the horrors they submitted that poor baby boy to, It has nothing to be do with a sleep deprived parents suddenly snapping they are deliberate cruel acts.

It's scary because these men had so much trust and responsibility given to them, yet underneath they were cruel.
