Oh FFS. Preston's birth mum is an abhorrent human being and didn't deserve him either.
No good posting pics now, she had her chance to step up and didn't.

The paramedic that first took preston from JV the video that is going around when he first arrived at hospital has he not said if they noticed any bruises on preston I mean he has a vest on surely you would have seen the bruises to his legs and to his face that literally would rule out half of the medical attempts that they are trying to say was caused by hospital! They would have seen the cut to lip surely... or do you think they wouldn't have noticed due to them focusing on trying to keep him alive 🤔

I’ve seen the TikTok and it’s pretty much what you would expect. Pictures from contact centres with baby looking lovely and well cared for (thanks to the foster parents) then filtered pictures of her other child that seem like the child was in her care (they weren’t). Everyone seems to have forgotten about her other child, they have lost an adorable baby brother who they were probably expecting to come and live with them. Also the fact now their image has been widely shared so everyone will know what’s happened and who the bio mum is. It’s telling that bio mum seems to not appreciate that fact. (She could have removed any images of the other child from her socials if she wanted to post about Preston). Of course she loved him and would have liked to maintain contact but her life was on a dark path from a very young age and unlike the other girl involved in the crime she hasn’t turned it around. Just repeating a pattern of bringing chaos to her family and getting recalled to prison.

I'm not wasting an ounce of sympathy on the birth mother. Even if Preston had lived, even if he had stayed with the lovely foster carer, he was in for a hard life of trauma and loss. We need to be real about adoption and the effects it has on children. It's not a rainbow happily ever after. They will spend their whole life traumatised and affected by the things done to them in the womb and then the sever from birth parents. That is something that affects their whole brain and they don't recover from it, they just walk alongside it for the rest of their lives.
She didn't give him up for a better life and it's not long lost families. It's messy, traumatic and complicated. He was taken from her as soon as he was born. She hadn't changed her lifestyle for her daughter and wasn't going to change it for her son.

I think in years gone by (and still today in people with no experience) people thought adoption was a clean slate and happy ever after for everyone but as you know, it isn’t like that. My friend’s children are adopted. They’re grown up with families of their own now. And they are still dealing with the effects- substance abuse before they were born, severe neglect when one was little, separation from birth mum then separation from foster carers. There’s also the fact that they although they were longed for by their adoptive parents and had a great upbringing there was a time before this where the person supposed to love and care for them prioritised something else instead. It’s not a feeling you can shake off just because your parents that adopted you see you as the most important person in the world. At each stage of their life they understand more about their loss and it hits hard every time. They are lovely people and have looked with sympathy at their birth mother but she died from drugs so they never got to have that conversation with her. I hope that these days it’s different and adopters are better supported and prepared but my friend had to do all the research and hard work herself back in the day.

I think we all know and appreciate that. I just can't help having some sympathy though because it's hard to describe carrying a baby for 10 months, feeling them move and bonding with them in utero and then them being taken from you even for the right reasons. Even if I didn't want my son or was not fit to be his parent, it's still a bond that is there and I'd be so distraught thinking he'd go somewhere safe and to learn he had died under the worst circumstances. I just can't help it. I know what she did, I know she was never going to be able to care for him, but still.

Completely agree.

There is a book called The Body Keeps the Score that beautifully explains how our bodies hold onto trauma.

I know as well, from personal experience, that trauma experienced before language development is harder to process and move on from.

the birth mums TikTok is sickening to be honest. Showing off big Preston tattoos and talking about justice for him but he was in care because of her failures!! I feel for her a little, she carried him and birthed him but it feels like she’s posting for attention. One minute it’s justice for Preston and the next talking about her sexy other half and her acrylic nails!!

Also saw Preston had 2 middle names and neither were Elijah.

Look how thriving he was with his foster carers. Utterly heartbreaking. That beautiful innocent face has touched so many hearts.

I jink it's worth bearing in mind that we don't know if she has any additional needs. Sometimes people's behaviour can look really inappropriate but they may not have the understanding to know that it is. O found her videos distasteful but I also got the impression there may have been other stuff going on for her.

The only thing the birth mother should be feeling is guilt. Because her actions ultimately led up to him ending up with those monsters. I agree the tik toks are gross and she’s being a grief thief there. No hashtagging #justiceforpreston will make me change my mind on that or feel sorry for her or her bf (who I didn’t realise wasn’t even his dad?!) why can people like this breed!!

He looks so well cared for and loved. What a wonderful foster family he had. How utterly heart breaking for them to raise him for 90% of his life and then these cruel monsters have taken him away.

Re Preston’s mum I believe she was given a chance to keep him, was put on the mother and baby unit in prison but the final straw was her smuggling drugs into the prison and the decision was made to place him care. So yes what she did as a teen was abhorrent in itself but she was given a chance and still couldn’t keep on the straight and narrow and away from drugs when she must have known that a foot wrong would lead to the removal of her baby.
