A murderer and a racist as birth parents- the time he had with the foster family was the only semblance of normality for him. It’s suggested he was going to be the foster family’s last baby. I wonder if they’ve taken in any older children since? What an awful ending to a fostering journey if not.

Yes I thought this, just making stuff up to seem like good parents with no proof that that happened. It’s not as if he was seven and running around creating havoc
I think he’s painting a rosey image of JV because he has to maintain the lie that he’d never have suspected anything and was completely in the dark. If he says there were signs, he needs to answer for why he did nothing - hence him acting all upset that no one told him JV was having dark thoughts

As I have said previously, I’m not a parent but I cannot imagine choose a photo of my child in the bath as my screensaver…you know, something that other people would see on a regular basis.

JMF is painting JV in a good light for one reason. If at any point he said that he thinks JV could pose a risk to Preston, he’ll be found guilty for allowing cruelty / death to a child. He has to say that he couldn’t foresee anything happening to cover his own back. He’s hoping to get off on all charges here.
I expect the jury will see through this though as it completely contradicts with the fact he’s STILL in a relationship with JV.

It wouldn't surprise me if this has destroyed fostering for them altogether. I'd been wondering about this earlier - whether they'd ever again feel comfortable and confident about parting with a pre-verbal child, or if they'd worry themselves sick wondering if the same might happen again.

Happy, giggling children don't tend to get complaints - especially in cafes which are family places. It's older children who are allowed to misbehave (running up and down screaming - that sort of thing). On the whole people are very tolerant even of crying babies, because they know that it's just what babies do.

As a mother of a sen child this is very offensive!!!!!
So JV says he didn't do it, JMF is saying he didn't do it, JV didn't do it, as the pathologists have agreed on non accidental arm break, and SA being the cause of his injuries, who are they going to say did it. Their defence makes no sense to me.
