I’m - like everyone else on this thread - broken by this case. It’s really effecting me; last night I didn’t sleep. Preston was all I could think about, and every time I started to dose off, my mind was going to very dark places of what that poor baby went through and what those disgusting creatures did to him. The pain, terror and confusion he went through is unimaginable.
It’s genuinely traumatising; I mean, I’ve read so many abuse cases before when they’re in the media etc but this case is just something else.
I will not be convinced otherwise that the sole purpose of his adoption was specifically for th to use him for their sick perverted fantasies.
Until yesterday’s evidence I was naively wanting to believe that the SA was just once - on the day he died, but I genuinely believe they both grape and suffocated and tortured Preston from day one - and regularly too.
I think the video evidence of Preston over the cot, and on the bed the day of his death are evidence of this, in that the reaction of JV - seemingly calm, no panic - shows an element of ‘BAU’: he was used to seeing Preston in this state whereby he would ‘pull round’ as he would have done so many times previously. JV shows absolutely no concern for him.
The skinny rat looking thing was in on too 100%. I know we’ve all agreed what a manipulative C*!7 JV is, but I think we’ve underestimated them both a bit: I think they’ve been very very careful to hide digital evidence. JV has been careless in those two specific incidents with the videos but I genuinely believe there HAS to be more. Is it possible they had a secret device they’ve got rid of? Of course, I could be wrong but I don’t know, my gut tells me if he videoed Preston in those two incidents (which was clearly for sexual gratification - or as others have posted, sent to other cretins online) IMO they have recorded much much worse.

I'm assuming this might happen, they have separate barristers. It will be tricky for JMF to blame JV without his own role putting him in the frame though - a line can't really be drawn between the abuse and the fatal endangerment of Preston. But it must have occured to him / his defence to try to distance JMF from the murder itself because JV was the one in the room. JMF can't plead total ignorance, given the physical and media evidence.

Yes you’re right apologies. I don’t think they can say for certain can they which explains the charges JV faces. I’m just astounded that these people exist, they walk among us and they are capable of doing so much harm to a little defenceless baby. I’m also convinced (based on absolutely nothing) that they’re getting a kick hearing all this evidence in court because HOW can they plead not guilty with this level of evidence
The pathologist did a brilliant job at standing up to the cross examination
If the stomach contents had included evidence which would support what they’re angling towards would that not have been mentioned by the pathologist
I guessed the defence would try and say aspiration, it could have been a minute possibility given that Preston had tummy troubles with milk allergy and reflux. He was probably sick more than some babies and potentially inhaled some of his own vomit. The pathologist was brilliant and didn’t give an inch. Also with the bite mark being caused by a toy “show me the toy”- it doesn’t exist. She was fantastic. I’m inclined to think the bs drowning story will be a major headache for the defence, it was an obvious lie from the beginning. It would have been more believable to say he’d been put to bed unwell and must have vomited in his sleep. When I heard JV being interviewed he just sounded like a bad actor, putting on a tearful voice with no sincerity and kept slipping into normal voice. The police must have known straight away he was full of it.
I just think of the pain he would have been in constantly. Anyone who has had haemorrhoids knows how painful they can be, just on their own or when you need the toilet. What he went through was worse that time infinity. He would have been so sore all the time and they had the audacity to complain he didn't sleep well.
I greatly doubt it. Likely he only had, at most, 4-8 teeth, and if something is being rammed into his mouth his instinct it going to be to try to open his mouth wider to breathe. Also, if someone was forcing his mouth open that would explain some of the bruising around his face and mouth.
I will put this into a spoiler because it isn’t pleasant at all. This is the most devastating thing I think I have ever written. But this is what, in my opinion, the evidence points to and this is what I’d be thinking if I was on the jury.
I don’t believe it was a toy in his mouth, I believe it was a pen. JV’s to be exact on the day in question. The reason I believe this are the bruises to his head. They sadly fit with holding someone’s head down during oral sex. I believe the toys were used in his bottom. I imagine 2 gay men have a lot of anal toys, which likely range in size. I think a small but plug is a likely option. I think there would have been more injury/blood had he used his pen anally
I do understand that. I guess I’m thinking about it from my own innocent perspective, when I try and put my finger in my little one’s mouth for teething gel, I get chomped!
Like many others I’m finding it hard to read what happened, but I do believe justice will be served against these animals.

But I can shut it off, I can stop following, I can stop reading, I can carry on my life…little Preston couldn’t. I think in some weird way, as others have said, I am putting myself through this because he had to endure it in reality.

I also think that's what happened. The whole thing makes me feel sick and I have tears in my eyes for that poor sweet boy.

I think he used everything, pen, sex toys and fingers in mouth and mole... sick pair of disgusting rats! I just dont understand the lack of blood dna in the house cos surely it would have caused some serious blood unless that was the reason for the baths... ahhhh I cant bare thinking about. Poor preston, the fact they had to apologise to the neibours for the crying aswell if only they knew the reason behind the crying
I wonder if they have gone through Internet searches, social media also if the forensics have took dna samples from bathroom or would that have been pointless ? Will they touch more on this do you think?!
God the questions and thoughts on this case is just sickening.
I think its dawning on more and more people exactly how that little beautiful baby was suffocated to death from a series of increasingly violent assaults that culminated in him dying. Its beyond horror.
