Totally agree she’s not wavering from her findings here. I can only assume the experts who disagree with her finds about poor Poppy were employed by the defence. The coroner. Certainly agreed with her as it’s listed as Poppys cause of death.
Also great answer by Dr Amour re the bite when asked if it was caused by a toy. As defence have disclosure of all trial before it’s tried I’m sure if this were true they would have found the toy that cause the’bite’ mark

Me too. The prosecutor in this case was the hero of the LL trial, Dr Armour is so far the hero in this trial. She is a formidable advocate for Preston,

Maybe it is just me, but if I was filming a baby playing and seeing the toy they were playing with tip, I would have dropped the phone and ran to prevent the baby being hurt. A soundless video, is odd. No even a gasp, or comment… That toy would have been immediately removed too and put away. On what basis did she form the opinion that JV/JMF were caring?

It means choking on vomit, or at least breathing some vomit into the lungs (this can cause pneumonia, not that that’s relevant to this case). They aren’t speculating what the stomach contents are AFAIK. I think the defence are trying to argue that this could be the cause of death for Preston. A pretty flimsy argument, but they have to try.
It’s probably more accurate to say that it hadn’t occurred to her that they weren’t. And as we’ve discussed, there may have been some positive bias towards two gay adoptive dads. To have gone through the trouble of adopting - surely they were excellent parents?

Some of the bruises may not have been visible on the skin. They were found during the autopsy and could have been very new and not yet appeared on the surface of the skin or they could have been healed on the surface of the skin, but still been obvious under the skin.
This could go a little way to explaining why JV’s mum didn’t report anything to anyone. That’s giving her a lot of credit but it’s a possibility.

BIB - I think the pathologist said the object was not sharp. So it doesn’t rule out the toys I don’t think. Also and this is grim but sperm can be recovered from the mouth, throat and stomach. I feel sure they would have tested for it.
IIRC the A&E doctor described it as milky but there wasn’t any definitive discussion about it not being “normal” vomit. I doubt there would have been an opportunity to test the fluid either.
And painful. I have nearly choked twice - once when I half-drowned myself by accidentally inhaling a gobful of water, and the second where I vomited copiously and began to choke and as I gasped for breath and a small amount was aspirated. A large amount would be worse because stomach contents are acidic.
I'm wondering this as well. In particular I think they should go into detail regarding those tears to the bottom, that will really nail them
The pathologist was being cross examined for a hour before we got that update. I don't think the journalist wants to go into great detail about those injuries. However the jury will have given the relevant information.
