Pregnancy #67

4 times in the last week I’ve woken up at around 3 or 4am with period cramps, back pain and extreme hunger (lol) which then goes away after I’ve eaten something and gone back to sleep. Lost my mucus plug about 6 times now.

If baby girl can just stay in until I turn 37 weeks Friday, I’ve got a new fridge coming tomorrow and our car needs an MOT Thursday 😂

25w 4d today - thought I had an NHS Scan on Friday but it's a glucose test, ok fine, bit disappointed it's not a scan as I was looking forward to seeing baby but ok.
Already had a private 4d scan booked for the 13th - they've emailed to say they've had to move to a different studio as well as a different time (still Saturday just later) as they've flooded. Know they can't help it but it's the inconvenience of it is all.
Got no idea when my next NHS scan is, even though I was told that they'd referred me for growth scans as my first baby was over 10lbs.
Just feeling very deflated with it all now and feel guilty for not being as excited as I was before.
I just wanna see my baby 😂
IDK if it's just a second baby thing, but I feel like I've had no time at all just to sit and appreciate this pregnancy as I've been so busy!

@anonymous_flower honestly this second pregnancy has absolutely flown by. My entire life seems like it’s on 500 x speed since having our first. On the one hand it makes me so sad (he‘s going to school next year!) but on the other it gives me hope as I bleeping hate the newborn stage and if it flies by, then great, if it doesn’t it gives me a bit more time with my boy at this age :)

I feel that! I feel like I found out in Jan, blinked and it's June, and now I've only got 14ish weeks before I'm a mom of two and that is an exciting but terrifying thought 😂 🙈

I’m 37w and soon to be a mama of 4 🥰 excited for my 2nd home birth !

Had an appointment this morning and the midwife I saw asked a doctor about my platelets because last week’s result was 100 and they don’t want them below 100 and the doctor was like “Just induce her now as per guidelines” so the midwife asked if I had an induction booked and I was like “Yeah for 42 weeks because I want to give her time to come, like I’m 40+6 she’s not massively overdue” the vibe just shifted and she wasn’t as nice with me and I left the hospital crying because it just made me feel so pressured and their attitude just seemed like “Her platelets aren’t ideal so let’s just bring her in now” and now I’ve said no it felt like they were treating me like I’m an awful patient.

I don’t get it there was that article last week being like “1 in 4 births are unplanned C sections” making it out like that’s the worst thing in the world but as soon as you don’t have your baby bang on 40 weeks or there’s one thing that’s not ideal they’re like “Better induce” which is going to make more interventions (like C sections) more likely. Which is it? Do you all want medical interventions in birth or not???

Sorry if this is a nonsensical rant I just wish I felt like my views on my body and birth matter and right now I don’t feel like they do just because my baby hasn’t been born at their estimated date.

My growth scans were 32 and 36 weeks, was my first pregnancy and I was on the high risk pathway for being old and large, no idea if they do scans at other times for different reasons!

Ah okay 😇 I've just had nothing, like no letters or info, which is why it's a bit annoying as they told me I'd be referred as I had a biiiig baby last time. Hopefully I hear something soon. I'd love for him not to be as big as his sister as I'd love to try a VBAC, but we'll just have to see!

i have no idea if it’s some standard thing or a postcode/trust decision or if they make the decision based on certain factors or what! I’ll cross my fingers for a VBAC for you ☺

Had a response - chatted to a consultant today to go through birth plan/VBAC plan and I have been put forward for the growth scans, they've just not sent the letters 😂 typical!
It was a good chat though, 75% of women who want a VBAC are successful which makes me feel a lot more confident in my choice. I can't have any of the drug options for induction if that's the route I want to take (unsure if that's just my area or a general thing), and will likely be the foley balloon thingy :ROFLMAO: but I'm now weirdly looking forward to giving birth! Just not till September please!

My growth scans were 28w, 32w and 36w. The reason for mine was GD and thats North Wales so it could be different based on the reason and area. Give your midwife a shout, sure she will sort it for you. Haha if you have a third youre in for a shock, I feel like ove only just fell pregnant and havent had a minute to enjoy it - I'm at the end now!

Hi, has anyone had experiance with having a filling removed/tooth removed with a filling insitu during pregnancy? I am 18 weeks but suffering with horrendous toothache in a back tooth and it’s cracked and needs taking out really but after reading online it seems unsafe to remove a mercury silver filling but the pain is intense, any advice welcome!

I’m 16 weeks pregnant and my stomach feels bruised?? When I lift myself up out of bed it feels like I’ve done an ab workout? Has anyone else experienced this and is it normal??

I had this for ages. I think it was from the start of the uterus stretching. 23 weeks and it’s fine now.
