That’s a very valid dislike 👀🤣 Yes how dare you rest😂 I used to do similar where I’d have a small biscuit before moving anywhere just in case. My husband called them my emotional support biscuits and he wasn’t wrong 🤣
My husband is already threatening throwing babybels at me and I’m only 6 weeks. Poor guy doesn’t know what’s coming.

Ngl the biggest challenge I’m having right now is the reduced caffeine. Although have for some nice Taylors decaf coffee and the placebo effect is strong.

Congratulations! Definitely feel you with all the mixed emotions. Hope you’re feeling ok 💕
I am thank you !! It’s weird - my husband and I had our son in 2019 , and our daughter in 2022 . We thought that we wouldn’t have any more children (I’m 36) but we just had this feeling our family wasn’t complete . Plus our son will be 7 this year and our daughter will be 4 so come September they will both be in school , and I felt so sad to have them all out of the house .

I’m nervous because I’m older . This is also going to be considered high risk pregnancy for me as I had preeclampsia with my daughter . So a lot of apprehension . And we’ve moved since then so I am under a different NHS trust so worried the care will be different . It was excellent with my first two

hope everyone else is feeling ok 🩷

Take the babybells 😂 my partner was and still is in disbelief at the turmoil. I was pretty much in a coma from weeks 5-12 and felt so awful. I have an aversion to coffee too, which may come for you as well? As an avid coffee drinker, the withdrawals weren’t fun

The hunger is insane . I forgot how hungry growing a baby made you . I need a snack stock-up asap

Oh no! I hope not my husband is worse then me for being a coffee addict imagine I couldn’t have the smell in the house. I might use that to wind him up 😜

Does anyone know much about exercise in pregnancy? I live in a very small place so I’m reluctant to tell the gym instructor yet. I looked at NHS but it’s more about “you should go for a walk and not exert yourself too much”. Whereas usually I’m gym classing 4 days a week and sports club 2 nights a week. So reducing that will be a bit of a shock.

I still have a bit of pain in my side so I’m skipping everything this week and (ironically) just going to go for a walk this evening.

Re: exercise, if you are used to being active and working out then you can continue. I think the advice is not to start something new when pregnant and if your body is not used to it. As you get bigger you will have to modify any core exercises - Chat GPT and google are helpful. Obviously listen to your body too.

Honestly, good on you for being able to keep it up! I think as long as you can keep your heart rate steady and maintain a conversational pace, you’re fine. I was advised to not try to hit any pb’s and not to overexert myself/listen to my body. But I got so tired and could barely stay awake from 6 weeks so I became at one with the sofa. I attempted a 2km jog last week and was quickly humbled!

Hey👋 ive been following the thread but not yet commented. Was at the hospital today for a growth scan to find out baby is breech. They have tried to turn him but was unsuccessful so booked in for a section. Could anyone share there experiences? I am absolutely terrified!

My midwife told me that I can start new exercises and pretty much do whatever I want as long as I am not lifting anything too heavy nor doing high intensity training. I started jogging, doing those interactive exercises with the children and lifting very light weights when im on the walking pad. She said the NHS have changed the guidance recently. With the previous 2 it was always no new exercises, foot off the gas in the gym and rest rest rest so I was pleased to hear this

Yea it’s the “keeping conversational pace” things that’s concerning me haha. It’s usually CrossFit/Athex style classes (not that I’m that fit! I’m definitely the slowest in the classes hahah) I might have to stick to the Pilates for a while.

Going to Pilates on Friday so I’ll see how I get on. It’s reformers so I’m less worried about it being very ab heavy the instructor usually does a good mix. I think once I’ve announced properly I can go back to the other gym and get modifications. It’s mainly because I don’t want to tell people yet and they would definitely be like “come on you can do it work harder” 👀if they didn’t know.

Hi! Frank breech baby mama here, he was breech from extremely early and my amniotic fluid was low so they advised me against trying ti turn him as it could have caused him distress so I went straight to an elective section. I was sad about it but actually, the way my body was and how he had grown there really would have been no other way. It’s my only birth experience with nothing else to compare it to but I’d be happy to tell you anything you’d like to know? I don’t want to overshare and make things worse! For reasons that are completely personal to my situation and body, I personally would only be allowed to have c sections for any future babies and that does not put me off (though I may be one and done because I’m nearly 41 and pretty tired haha, but I’m not one and done because of the section if that makes sense).

First dose of morning (afternoon) sickness. I was so smug last week that it hadn’t hit. Oh universe, what a troll.
