Congratulations!! Pleased to hear you had a positive induction experience 🎉 how are you both doing?
Thank you ☺
Not bad at all thank you for asking. Recovery is such a spectrum and I’m so grateful to have come out relatively unscathed (internal grazing and the usual post pushing stuff) and baby GC is good too. Mr GC has been bloody fantastic and doing everything and more to help us navigate this new unknown world.

She came out with meconium so we had a 12 hour observation in hospital but all good.
Had my first meltdown yesterday when her stump fell off and 1) I thought I did it 2) I didn’t know it could come off earlier than the usual 1-2 weeks. The worrying is non stop 😂

Hi everyone, new in here. I found out I'm 5 weeks pregnant and since I've had awful back pain, I've had two miscarriages but it doesn't feel anything like that kind of pain, no bleeding or anything, it's just aching me so much. Is it normal to have it this early? Thanks x

Can anyone recommend a tried and tested pregnancy pillow please? I am really struggling with insomnia and generally do not feel comfortable. I think we need a change the mattress to be honest but I'm waiting until all the building work is finished. There's so many pillow options I'm overwhelmed looking

I have the one from Amazon it's around 30 pounds, it's a full body one it takes a lot of room but it does the job . It's not fancy or expensive.

I’ve got the Baby Bub one - got it off Vinted for my first pregnancy and using it again this time around. Sooooo good and not as big as some of the others. It’s got a Velcro thing so you can gradually increase the size of it and a separate small pillow to go between your knees. Been a lifesaver when I’m having a really bad time with my PGP

I bought a knock off momcozy one from TikTok shop for about £25 and I loved it. It was like being in a comfy nest!

I have this one or similar too. It’s really comfy, I don’t think I’ll part with it once I’ve given birth 🤣

I have to say I went fancy and splashed out on the bbhugme one, it’s pretty spenny but I loved it because it has toggles at each end to change how rigid it is and each side can be different- I wanted softer for my back and more rigid bump support. It is big though and not the cheapest option but it’s so comfortable!

I have one from amazon, which is U shaped and wow I have never slept so well even pre pregnancy. It’s bulky in the bed but so comfy and means mr curly is well away from me in the bed 🤣🤣

Thanks everyone! I've been torn between a bbhugme and a momcozy. The lack of sleep is that bad I'm tempted to just bang both on Crapbags card... Along with some new trainers 👀 - his snoring and fidgety fetus are to blame afterall! X

Morning girls. I’m 12w4d and got my NHS scan this week I’m so nervous for it. I’ve already had 4 scans privately but I’m so anxious for this one, especially the downs and Edward testing

I had mine last Thursday. It was fine! The sonographer was eerily quiet and kept getting frustrated that the baby wouldn’t stay still. She hit me repeatedly with the probe a few times which caught me by surprise 😂 i’m still awaiting the downs et al resultd, but let us know how you get on. Thinking of you!

Awww so glad yours went well!! What’s your due date? Do they measure the neck fluid or something too? Do they tell you there and then?
Thanks so much 🙏🏽 it’s on Friday so I’m just literally counting down the days haha

I’m due 4th August. I think they did measure something behind the neck and took some bloods, but no results or news yet

They do measure the fluid behind the neck and they tell you those results there and then, just say it looks normal or not - mine was fine. Feels such a long time ago we had our 12 week scan, BabyA is now 6 weeks old!

Pregnancy tiredness has hit at 20 weeks. No time to rest second time round, working and with a 14 month old 😩

Does morning sickness come back in the third trimester? I’ve only just come out of the first trimester, barely made it out alive and discovered it comes BACK!? I am petrified, I thought this was it

Not like the first trimester in my experience - I would just sometimes feel sick when I was particularly tired and towards the end just my bump was so big and left me barely any room for my organs. It was nothing like the first trimester though. I still took the occasional anti sickness tablet but that was for my own peace of mind because emetophobia. I remember reading that too and dreading it but it wasn’t that bad!

Thank you, that makes me feel a bit better! I still have a stash of anti sickness meds left over - they didn’t always work because I unfortunately still got sick a few times. I also have crippling emetophobia and have panic attacks just before being sick so my brain is just really not in a good place right now and I did not need to read that 😅
Will see if I can get on the omeprazole nice and early. I keep saying i’m never doing this again and EVERYONE’s like “oh you’ll change your mind once you have the baby” and I feel like nobody is taking my misery seriously
