How do you feel about a home birth? I was induced first time for the same reason as you and am contemplating a home birth this time. It all feels quite overwhelming though!
I’m not sure tbh. I suffer quite bad with anxiety and also health anxiety so hospitals freak me out but the thought of something going wrong and not being in a hospital also terrifies me 🤣 I think I’m putting off thinking about it because I’m so undecided and feel there’s a pros and cons list for both!

I’m 30 weeks tomorrow, I’ve lost my smell and taste so took a Covid test it’s positive is there anything I need to do?

Id call the midwife and take advice from them. They're the best placed for any advice and recommendations.

Hope you make a full and fast recovery x

The tiredness took me by surprise too. I was barely functional. I slept CONSTANTLY and then would get dehydrated. I don’t know why we must be punished like this in the first trimester, but it ain’t tor the weak 😅

I was the same with my first and had the luxury of not having to worry about anyone, but I can't nap now I have a toddler 🙈 Crazy isn't it!

Update : I gave birth! 🩷

The induction was positive, went straight to water breaking and then as soon as I started the drip I went 3-10cm in 2 hours and it was too late for the epidural 😬 I thought “well ok I guess we’re doing this on gas and air then, here we go 😅

@ReginaPhalange3 I last minute ordered the Birth comb and my goodness did it come in handy. It was so intense that I gripped it to a point where it looks like I put my hand on a barbecue 😂 thanks for the recommendation.

I had Covid at 36 weeks pregnant, I phoned the midwife unit and they were like 🤷🏻‍♀️ followed by ‘we don’t test anyone anymore’. I had an ultrasound the next day that I tried to rearrange but after calling them 30 times and not getting through, I decided to go with a mask on. There ended up being a complication unrelated to me having covid that showed up on the scan so I told someone I was wearing a mask due to Covid and she was just like ‘thanks for wearing a mask, most people wouldn’t’. I was the only person in the waiting room not coughing up a lung as well!

Take your paracetamol, keep hydrated and absolutely get some rest. If you had any concerns, chat to your midwife or GP

How are you getting on @amarantine?

Also, as someone who is fretting about nausea, did any of you find it got worse week by week? I find it bad enough at almost 7 weeks and am fearing everyone who keeps saying “oh it’s early days yet just you wait till you hit 10 weeks” and I keep crying in fear 😂
Hey!! I haven’t posted on this thread in a while but we found out a week apart! How are you getting on ? Xx

I’m trying not to jinx it but I think I may be coming out of the first trimester trenches. I’ve had a puke free week so far and haven’t needed to nap as much. We’ve got our 12 week scan next week too! How are you getting on? X

Aww that’s such good news!! I’m in the trenches still, I’m 11 weeks now it’s gone pretty quick I guess!! I had a big bleed at 7 weeks but had 2 scans since and all is good thank god🙏🏽
Good luck with your scan next week! Mines in 2 weeks xxx

I’m so glad everything’s okay, that must have been scary! X
If anyone who has graduated from the first tri can confirm if feeling less deathly is a gradual or a sudden process, I’d be very grateful 😅

I've just booked our gender scan for Saturday 😬 I've only booked it so Leslie and Frank Jr Jr can see the baby, they're so excited. Really looking forward to seeing how they react! X

Hope everyone’s doing well! Am I right in thinking at the NHS 20 week scan they can’t write down the gender for you and atleast one of you in the room have to be told? x
