Sounds awful!! Sending love & manifesting a quick & smooth birth this week for youSo frigging miserable.
Every time i collect colostrum, we have sex, I eat too many dates, all the good labour inducing bits, I get cramps and back ache for about 3 hours then it fizzles out to nothing. I can’t sit on my birth ball for more than 10 minutes because it starts my back aching and gives me awful lightening crotch but then as soon as I get up and walk around, it settles again. Baby seems to somehow have moved back up to my ribs, which I really don’t understand as I was definitely 2/5 engaged at my last appointment on Wednesday and it’s my second.
Didn’t fall asleep until 3am last night and feel so tit this morning again.
ETA - a bit of googling and mumsnet (lol) tells me I am totally misinformed about engagement, I thought it was that first time babies engage and disengage but after that they are engaged and stay there, it’s the other way round. FFS.
We’re going to get the Snuzpod 5 ! We had an older Snuzpod with my previous 2 and loved it ! I sold it on fb marketplace as we didn’t think we’d have anymore kids , but we got an £100 John Lewis voucher for Christmas so it will make a new one half priceWhich next2me cribs have people got/thinking of buying? I don’t know which are good ones to get so looking for recommendations, Thankyou!
I used Weleda in pregnancy and got 0 then got some after birth (literally wtffff) and now 5 months postpartum using bio oil they’re hardly noticeableWhat's everyone using to help with potential stretchmarks? I'm 16 weeks now and have started to pop a little bit so got myself some Weleda stretch mark oil which I'm putting on once or twice a day but as a complete newbie to all this, I'm open to other options![]()
We had the snuzpod studio and BabyA loved it! I squeezed every last drop out of it, as it were, and moved him out only a week ago! We liked it because it looked smart, could have the side up or down, and because it’s nice and compact. Gutted that BabyA is too big for it now!Which next2me cribs have people got/thinking of buying? I don’t know which are good ones to get so looking for recommendations, Thankyou!
We got the silver cross lunar / it was part of the furniture bundle we ordered. Worth checking and price matching! We ended up saving over £200 on our bundle xWhich next2me cribs have people got/thinking of buying? I don’t know which are good ones to get so looking for recommendations, Thankyou!
I’m only 25-5 and i can’t imagine how you feel because I already feel like a beluga35 weeks and feeling SO big and uncomfortable and wondering how on earth he’ll find the room to grow larger for 5 more weeks! I also discovered last week he’s bum down… cheers bud![]()
I don’t even want to know how much weight i’ve gained, but boy do I need a postpartum dietI’m only 25-5 and i can’t imagine how you feel because I already feel like a beluga
Stretch marks, I’m afraid, are genetic and there’s really nothing you can do about it!What's everyone using to help with potential stretchmarks? Thanks, I'll definitely give that a try when my Weleda runs out!I used burts bees mama belly balm - not a single stretch mark and I had a very big bump! My sister in law recommended it from when she was pregnant with her first, she doesn’t have any stretch marks either! I never thought I’d miss being pregnant but I was exactly where some of you are now a year ago and I feel quite nostalgic![]()
Ah man, are they really?! I'm prone to them as I've had them on my legs and bum for as long as I can remember anyway but was hoping to avoid gaining more as best I could. Ah well, guess I'll just try in vainStretch marks, I’m afraid, are genetic and there’s really nothing you can do about it!
Yep, don’t waste too much money on special creams or ointments that promise otherwise! https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC1913631/Thanks, I'll definitely give that a try when my Weleda runs out!

This. My mum god bless her, hers are so bad she looks like her stomach has been mauled by a tiger, that’s what she says anyway! They’re very dark, red, even 30 years later. I haven’t got any luckily yet but wasn’t skinny to start with. I can imagine I will get them though.Stretch marks, I’m afraid, are genetic and there’s really nothing you can do about it!
I was fine with mine. No vomit and didn’t feel sickI have my glucose test this Friday and I’ve seen nothing but horror stories on TikTok of people projectile vomiting… is it actually that bad? I think I’m more anxious about this than giving birth![]()
It gets better! I was a zombie when pregnant due to the worst insomnia and generally feeling crap. I’m almost 3 weeks post partum with my second baby and I am a different person! I feel more well rested with a newborn and toddler now than I did when pregnant. My sleep is broken but it’s a proper sleep and I feel so light and like I can actually move. So please hang in there and don’t feel guilty. Also things like nursery can wait. The baby will be sleeping in your room and won’t need much at all at the beginningI’m 37w and 1d and just feeling so frustrated and fed up now.
Anyone else just not have the nesting instinct kick in at all due to pure exhaustion? I’m sleeping probably 6-7 hours a night (often broken up) and then have a further 2 or 3 naps during the day. I can’t bear the thought of doing any cleaning or washing - my husband has been doing everything. I spend the majority of my day sleeping or in extreme pelvic pain. I literally feel like I’m carrying a bowling ball on my perineum. I’m only leaving the house for hospital monitoring or midwife appointments.
I feel so incredibly guilty and like a tit parent because I can’t be bothered to even organise the nursery! I keep worrying thinking I won’t cope when baby is here because I’m so tired and unmotivated.
Somebody please tell me things will get better when I give birth!
I’ve had it twice ! Wasn’t sick . Drink is a bit gross but it’s manageable . Just take some form of entertainment with you as it’s a long wait !I have my glucose test this Friday and I’ve seen nothing but horror stories on TikTok of people projectile vomiting… is it actually that bad?
