Baby rock is here. Head too big so natural delivery failed, csection it was. Apparently I developed pre eclampsia at some point this last 2 weeks.
No fail here - your amazing body managed to go through all of that. I’m sorry birth wasn’t what was hoped for and I hope you can focus on your baby bubble and also letting your body recover. ❤

I was very open to whatever, it was never gonna work and baby was out within 7 hours since I stepped foor on the clinic, so didn't stress much. Only in the operating room since so many people talk to tou.

The maternity ward isn't picking up my phone call and I have shoulder pain. Unfortunately I have googled it and it could be an etopic. I've no other symptoms but hopefully it's just muscle pain but id appreciate if someone picked up the bloody phone before I waste a few hours waiting to be told it's nothing

Having had a baby at 42 weeks which included numerous sweeps, 2/3 failed inductions and a 7 day hospital stint

How many weeks are you? I had shoulder tip pain from 6-8 weeks with my first and he was perfectly fine, not an ectopic. 😊 We did go for a scan though to make sure everything was in the right place. I hope this eases your worries slightly!

7 weeks, I'm in absolute agony with it and it came out of nowhere, I would like peace of mind but I don't think the emergency room does scans so Id like to talk to a professional. Hopefully it's just my joints relaxing

You’re our lovely lady from Ireland aren’t you? Is there a 111 (non-emergency but still urgent advice health line equivalent? Or could you try the hospital switchboard where your EPAU is based maybe? Just so you have some peace of mind.

Yes I'm the Irish one 😂 it's so backwards here in comparison to ye
I have called the maternity hospital three times and it just keeps ringing 🙂↔ they are too busy to answer the phone the majority of the time .
I did ring my private healthcare nurse and she told me use cold and hot packs to see if that reliefs it but so far no. I'll keep trying for peace of mind 🫣

Hi ladies! I’ve just found this thread. I’m 36 weeks, baby number 2 and already so fed up and ready for baby girl to arrive now! This pregnancy has been WIDLY different to my first. I just feel like an immobile blob that can’t do anything because everything hurts… I don’t think the recent heat has helped but goodness me I am struggling 🫠. My first arrived the day before her EDD so I’m hoping and praying I’m not late with this one… I don’t think I’d manage an extra 2 weeks past 40 weeks! Ahhhhh! Sending love to everyone 🥰🤗 X

Welcome! I think most of the ladies here on their second pregnancy have definitely said there’s been differences this second time around! You are managing parenting and pregnancy this time, too! Hoping that BabyMushroomTheSecond is extremely punctual ☺

I finally bit the bullet and bought some over the bump maternity gym shorts. Aside from still having to fold the bumpy bit over itself for now ... My god. Revelation.

Putting maternity skinny jeans on for the first time (in colder times) was a lightbulb moment for me. I don’t even know if I’ll bother going to back normal skinny jeans 🤣

I have, on at least three occasions in this pregnancy, about choked to death on my own saliva suddenly going down the wrong way seemingly out of nowhere. This is not unique to pregnancy but it feels like it’s happened a lot. Is pregnancy linked with extra saliva just to add to all the fun symptoms? My life nearly flashed before my eyes earlier 🤣 got a kick off the boy for my troubles as well, he was not amused.

I am 37 weeks 1 day - tonight I’ve started getting pain in the right side of my bump and back, it doesn’t feel like period pain or any kind of pain I’ve ever felt before. It feels like I am being stretched. It doesn’t hurt much when I stand or sit up straight but when I lay down it hurts a lot. I’ve no discharge or excess fluid. I feel like my bump has visibly got bigger in the last hour. Baby is just as active as usual.

Is this something or just side affect from a long day out and lots of walking and climbing stairs?

I haven’t called the hospital because I don’t feel like it’s at that stage but it’s at the stage to ask you lovely ladies 🥰❤
