Just been thinking and I know it's a long way off but I want to hear other opinions please. What would you say is a better set up? I am expecting boy/girl twins and the age gap between them and my son is 4 years and 2 of them will need to share a room. Would it be better for the twins to stay together until they're at the age they will need their own rooms? (Thinking maybe 6-8?) Or do I have my older son and the twin boy share even though they've at different stages in development etc? Ultimately we would probably need the boys to share when they're older anyway so do I just do it sooner or wait until the twins will need their own space?
Ours are identical boys so we will definitely be keeping them in the same room but even if they were boy/girl, I think it’s lovely to have the twins together. My husband has a twin sister and they shared a room up until about 6/7. They loved it. I’ve heard a lot of twin parents say that the kids love it and sometimes they catch them singing to one another etc. I actually think it’ll be great for their development.

As if you need the stress of all this! Although you’re right, it’s better they take extra precautions!
Yeah I've gone back to the docs and been signed off again, it's just too much to deal with as well as feeling like I'm in a constant cold war at work! Not worth it!

Can sex cause lots of watery discharge in pregnancy? Asking for a friend 🙄😳

Joking aside I just called triage for this exact reason because I was worried about fluid leaking - I did not realise pregnancy was SUCH a minefield and having to explain this situation to triage was HUMBLING. Please say there are others who have made these ridiculous calls and feel free to have a giggle at my expense 😂🤣

I am absolutely floored by this heat. I sympathise with all who are heavily pregnant currently (after I had my son in the July 2022 heatwave... hell!!)

Only 11+3 in this heat and I'm hot, bothered, swollen, sicky, sticky, tired. Don't feel like eating or drinking although I'm obviously trying to force water down me. I feel (and look) absolutely massive already and so dressing for work is extremely difficult in this heat since I've only told my line manager so far. Dresses make me look pregnant, too hot for leggings and oversized shirt. I'm used to hiding in leggings and oversized sweatshirts so autumn neeeds to hurry up.

My baby was head down and then he moved and was transverse for a few weeks. He moved back head down at 37 weeks + 5. They weren’t worried about the position at all until over 37 weeks, they told me baby still has loads of room and time to move head down. It seems like you’ve got 3 weeks ish until that point? Honestly I wouldn’t worry about it for the time being! I was in a flap for no reason and it’s not ideal really the extra stress so just try and take it easy there’s still loads of time ☺
If worrying about stuff was an Olympic sport I wouldn’t be able to stand up straight for all the gold medals round my neck 🤣🤣🤣🤣 i don’t suppose I’d be on the motivational speaking tours, haha.

Well done, that is 100% right for you and JuniorKestrel. Let them sweat over whatever your fit note says which I hope is something like ‘work related stress’ which will make them absolutely tit their pants, especially whilst youre pregnant!

In early pregnancy I was definitely…. Capable of become quite well lubricated even quicker than normal, shall we say. Lots of TikTok WAP videos seemed to be all over my FYP at the time.

Now I see TikTok videos where women have gone to have themselves checked to see if their waters have broken to be told no, they’ve just peed themselves. And that feels a lot more like where I’m at these days 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 it’s a sexy old journey….

Don’t think it’s caused by sex but yes I called the midwife line at least twice especially at the end because I had so much watery discharge, I was convinced it was my waters. They said it’s probably just discharge or leaking pee 🤣 haha the glamour!

I don’t have twins but I think I’d maybe keep the twins together until time for big beds and then move the 2 boys together then? That way the twins will be older and probably excited to decorate rooms etc?

Haha I’m so glad it’s not just me with these weird pregnancy things 😂 midwife told me it’s very unlikely to be anything bad just to keep monitoring and it’s seemed fine so far…I’m sure I will have to make many more of these odd calls to maternity triage, surely it can’t just be me 😂

I dunno how anyone from the central belt of Scotland southwards is coping. I am north of the heatwave and today has not been fun in the slightest. You all have my sympathies!

I think we’re mostly avoiding it too in my corner of the south west, and I’m definitely still very warm. I feel for anyone who is pregnant right now but more so for those poor souls in this heat who are due very soon!

Thank you everyone that replied to my message about sharing rooms! Definitely seems the best thing to do is keep the twins together for as long as possible🩵🩷

It's rank - I'm on an Island with a breeze... but there's no breeze in the house and my little boys room is currently 30C with sun on it!!!!! Cannot get the temperature down in there so guess he'll be camping out in our room tonight. I'm not made for this heat at the best of times let alone pregnant with my head down the bog. 🤣

Had a midwife app today and baby is currently back to back - I asked if I should be concerned and she said not really, there’s still time for baby to move and even if they don’t you can still go for vaginal delivery - it just will be a bit more sore…. But yeah the get on your hands and knees and rock side to side was mentioned to encourage baby to turn.

“a bit more sore” seems like a really nice way of putting it 🤣

Is it your first? my midwife was like back to back is unlikely to work since it's my first. I have no idea if baby might have turned.

I'm tired of people asking me *when* will baby be here. I've told them baby as not shared his schedule with me. I'm doing fine, baby is fine, I'm not 40 weeks yet... what's the effing rush?
