Just drink a ton of water
I’m 32 weeks and have zero appetite minus the morning rest of the day I can take it or leave it minus fruitHas anyone lost their appetite? I’m 32 weeks and struggling with acid reflux but also I think my stomach has been pushed so far that I just can’t stomach any food and don’t fancy anythingbut I’ve just gone off everything
I defo have enough large preserves to keep me goingso I’m not worried but it’s miserable
Also my tastebuds have totally changed
I’m not craving stuff I used to love like chocolate and biscuits
Maybe it’s the hormones
I’ve had 2 sweeps over the last week and a bit and I’m still sat here at 40+6 haha arghh! Trying to beat the induction on Tuesday xxBeen for my 2nd sweep today and still only 1cm dilated. Absolutely zero progression since Monday. It genuinely feels like baby is never going to come at this point! Really want to avoid another induction![]()
Hopefully baby is here before your induction! I’ve another sweep booked for Tuesday but not holding out much hope. The midwife doing the sweep today was so gentle so I don’t think it will work. It wasn’t one bit uncomfortableI’ve had 2 sweeps over the last week and a bit and I’m still sat here at 40+6 haha arghh! Trying to beat the induction on Tuesday xx
I can only stomach fruit. I’ve been a bit obsessed with apples throughout my pregnancyI’m 32 weeks and have zero appetite minus the morning rest of the day I can take it or leave it minus fruit![]()
Agreed. I used it and a TENS machine and got to fully dilated using just those. Now that I’ve had chance to process the birth just wanted to share a tip! Having (unintentionally ) got to fully dilated without pain relief, the Freya app was bloody amazing. It times your contractions and tells you when you’re in established labour (if it’s not your first rodeo get to the hospital quick! These babies can come fast!) and most importantly it coaches you through your breathing. I never ever thought I could labour to 10cm with just breathing. Honestly worth every penny.
Sorry I know you didn’t @ me but the midwives at the hospital placed my tens machine for me and it was really helpful! I had one at home I’d played around with but I didn’t really ‘get it’ - they suggested using one when I arrived in hospital so I borrowed theirs which helped!@Shinythings where did you learn to use the tens machine? I already have one so would love to use it
@clmay if it's not too intruding too much, how old are you? I've had a good pregnancy in general, so I'm wondering if I'll be able to have a natural birth.
I’m 39! Also had a good complication free pregnancy. 2nd baby so I think that also helps as everyone told me my body would know what it was doing.@Shinythings where did you learn to use the tens machine? I already have one so would love to use it

40 and first baby and was/am overweight and out of shape, haha! Although I am very flexible and, as I have learned from a physio referral in pregnancy, hyper mobile, which might work in my favour. So far my pregnancy has been remarkably good, I’ve moaned about it of courseAh, I'm 39 as well but first baby. Been doing pilates for a few years now that I think has played a massive role in keeping me in good shape.
@Hinchhater1442 good to know, thanks. I'll ask the midwife when it's recommended.
I’ve got hyper mobility too and generally very bendy and I was worried about birth causing me long term damage but actually it was beneficial in the end and every specialist I spoke to said not to worry!40 and first baby and was/am overweight and out of shape, haha! Does yours come with a manual? Some are labour specific and some are general use. Mine was general use. Place two pads just under your bra line and the other two just above your bum cheeks so each pad is a corner of a rectangle. Then just set it to whatever setting you want. I think I had mine on acupuncture setting.@Shinythings where did you learn to use the tens machine? I already have one so would love to use it

Definitely get a few types but also get literally 200 newborn nappies and be shocked at how many you get throughWe haven’t bought any nappies at all yet. We figured we’d buy a small amount of different types to see what works best? Some people rave about Aldi’s ones and other people think they’re terrible and so on for every type under the sun!
we are loosely considering reusable nappies but I think we need to allow ourselves a bit of a grace period to adapt to our new world before we go down that avenue.
I feel like I’ve asked this before but I just retain no info at all at the moment!
