You have a bit of time so don’t even worry about all this right now. With my first, we were isolated during covid (pre any vaccines) so we didn’t get to go and test things out and the pram we chose, while a tiny bit heavy, we love.
I remember calling my sister when I was 30wks and sobbing because we didn’t have a blanket for the baby and that clearly meant I was going to be a terrible mother because how could I not know to buy a blanket? Hilariously we then ended up with more blankets than we could ever use because people sent gifts once baby was born.
Omg we got gifted SO many blankets. To the point some are still not used apart from a photo with it to say thank you haha.

Hi, just wondering if anyone has recommendations for good hands free breast pumps? Currently looking at momcozy m9. And do people tend to get one or a pair? Thank you

I had the MomCozy m5 and found it really good. I would definitely get a pair, 2 for 1 basically!

Maternity pants (as in the day to day ones while you’re pregnant, not the disposable thing for the hospital), where are we getting these from? I’ve been surviving on my Primark full briefs in my normal size (18-20) and I could just go up a size but they do sort of cut me off at the belly button. I am absolutely an over the bump sort of gal because I have a ‘B’ shaped bump as I’m a chubby one anyway, and so low rise anything is not personally comfortable for me. I also really like 100% cotton.

Absolutely agree…. The best maternity knickers have been Tesco and Matalan cotton full briefs, just normal ones
I’ve got them in size 14 and 16 (usually a size 8-10) and they are so comfy as they go over your bump
I’m having a c section so I think these will work for post surgery

George at Asda maternity pants. Super super high rise, cheap and cotton.

Had a very early scan at EPU today following multiple miscarriages.... we saw a flicker of a heartbeat. 😭 Cried my little heart out. Little froglet is measuring 6w4d. Got another scan at 8 weeks privately and then we'll just have to wait for the 12 week scan! Feeling so much more reassured.

Today is my last day at work! I am honestly so ready to be finished now and in theory have just over 3 weeks before she arrives unless she decides to make an early appearance! I'm lucky my job isn't physical and I work from home but I am so done and the heat is a struggle!

41 weeks today, still no baby. Induction has been booked for tomorrow using the cooks balloon & I am absolutely petrified this time. Really wanted to avoid induction this time but I think my chances are now very slim 😭

Went to the hygienist today and despite it being in my notes that I’m pregnant and me turning up looking large, round and sweaty, they missed the memo. She was surprised by how much my gums bled and surprised when I told her the scale and polish was a bit savage today. Whilst she had a million tools in my mouth putting that toothpaste stuff in she goes ‘it might depend on where you are in your cycle’ so I patiently wait till I can speak to tell her I’m pregnant and she is like ‘well this explains EVERYTHING’. On the way out I check and it is definitely in my notes (they tried to bump my checkup appointment to next year so it was they first/only place I pulled the ‘actually I’m pregnant’ card to get an appointment.

Anyway. My teeth feel clean but my mouth does feel ouchie. And I dunno if I feel a bit put out that I wasn’t clocked as pregnant despite a big bump, and the fact that I had to waddle slowly up the stairs puffing and panting, but was just written off as large and sweaty instead of large, sweaty AND pregnant. It’s not even that hot here but I was done with life by about half 3 🤣🤣

I had the hygienist the other week and was surprised that it didn't do a big red flashing PREGGO light when he opened my notes either, but thankfully I was able to shoehorn it in when we were doing initial chit chat. Was also surprised at how much more it HURT, my teeth were JANGLING during and after, I'm a weirdo and usually find a scale and polish quite relaxing 😂

I went for a checkup with the dentist and was told to go back 3months postpartum.

I have a doubt, did you get a waterproof cover for the mattress? Could a puppy pad be enough?

The hygienist kept telling me I should tell reception when I come in and I’m like ‘yeah but I did though… I gave them the exemption form and everything!’ But my next appointments are after I’ve given birth anyway (gulp!)

I used to go to a hygienist who I wanted to be friends with because she seemed so nice and so cool but she would SAVAGE me and my eyes would absolutely stream and I’m pretty sure I was the laughing stock of the whole practice for leaving with panda eyes like I had been crying. I was a smoker at the time though so maybe that was why. I gave up smoking years and years ago. Recently it hasn’t hurt, except for today!

Just wondering for anyone who’s had a baby with IUGR and then got pregnant a second time, did your second baby have IUGR? Were you monitored more or made stop working early? I’m 19 weeks waiting for 21w scan and I’m just on edge my last babies IUGR wasn’t picked up until she was born any to be honest my whole care was horrific I’ve moved to a different country now and they seem to be taking it more seriously I just can’t cope with the stress of another small baby and the guilt is eating me

As soon as the weather tips over 30 at the moment, I get a congested nose. I know it's "pregnant!" and blood flow to nose and whatever but just amusing how it's weather threshold dependent. I'm like a (snotty) weather station

The hormones are strong with me today. I’ve just lost my mind at MrDragName for being slow at ordering something online and not managing to navigate any of it properly. I haven’t got the worlds greatest amount of patience at the best of times and he and I have very different skill sets and he will lose his mind over stuff that I think is really simple so
I can’t empathise at all which is bad of me but I dunno, I saw red, had a total meltdown and a big crying fit. Now I feel like a total twit. I’ve had two big meltdowns this whole pregnancy and it makes me feel completely unhinged. The overwhelm is quite big with me at the moment which is no excuse for appalling behaviour, right enough. Meh. We were taking a stupidly long time to order a basic witch thing when we have 50 bajillion things to do this weekend.
