Guys I’m getting aching back pain and also loose stools 🫣 not exactly diarrhoea but I’ve gone way more times than my normal.

Obviously I’ve googled it all and it’s saying these could be signs of labour?! I’m only 29+6…should I be worried 🤣

Is anyone else suffering with hayfever? My husband went to the pharmacy for me today but they said I’d need to make a GP appointment. NHS website though says Loratadine is ok to use during pregnancy. My docs is a nightmare for booking routine appointments so I’m tempted to just go ahead and buy the Loratadine.
Yep. Loratadine and Certrazine are fine. Fexofenadine is OK if you are third trimester, not enough research to understand the effects in first and second.

Could be Braxton Hicks. Mine have felt like I'm about to have awful diarrhea (and I poop more than usual) and my tummy goes very hard and uncomfortable.

No no no, that’s what triage is for! You tell them how you’re feeling and they decide whether they should see you or not. That’s their job my lovely ❤ you might even be able to go to non-maternity triage to have your urine tested for an infection in case it is a kidney infection.
If it continues today I will call them as I’m petrified I’m going to have to cope with another potentially 19 weeks of this and being honest I don’t think I can 😭

I’m only 16 and a bit weeks but I’m being destroyed by nighttime bladder weakness and constipation. I’ve always been the kind to need to get up once in the night most nights for a wee but now it’s 3-4 times a night waking up absolutely desperate and sometimes having leaks. I have so long to go I’m worried I’m going to need some industrial strength tena lady come the third trimester. I do lots of kegels but I’m now seeing TikTok’s talking about how too many kegels can mess your bladder function up so I’m like 😳. I get super thirsty in the evenings no matter how much I drink in the day. I have one cup of caffeinated coffee in the morning, a very occasional daytime can of full large coke, otherwise I am on the fruity teas, water, squash etc. any tips?

Constipation is totally new to me. I used to have some sort of self-diagnosed IBS pre pregnancy which I think was a manifestation of my anxiety, so I’d have the runs every morning pretty much without fail. Now going to the toilet is a serious challenge. I never took the iron supplements I was given at the maternity unit because my iron levels were fine in my blood. I was taking the iron supplements I used to take pre-pregnancy which was the same stuff at a much lower dose but I stopped that over a week ago. I take magnesium 3 in 1 at night one of which is supposed to have a bit of a laxative effect. Nada. The internet says I should increase my fibre which I’ll try and to also increase my hydration. If I increase my hydration my bladder problems at night will get considerably worse and I’ll be forced to sleep on rubber sheets 🤣

I have a midwife appt this week and I’ll raise it but tbh she talks too fast and too furiously for me (which is really saying something) and bamboozled me last time. And my poor husband, who is from another part of the UK, struggles with everyone’s accents so just feels lost in the appointments! I’d prefer not to take ‘stuff’ although there will be pregnancy safe things I could take, but I am really struggling with this now and again, there’s a long way to go!
I’ve been prescribed lactulose for constipation as it’s safe during pregnancy but you can buy this from any pharmacy
Magnesium citrate is supposed to help but can take longer to work xx

That’s what I thought! But it’s mostly back pain, nothing round the front and my tummy doesn’t go hard. It feels like period back pain.

also is anyone else’s belly gone hairy from all the moisturisers/oils they’re applying 😂 although could be the hormones actually

I’ve been getting this for weeks and I’m 39 weeks tomorrow with literally no signs of him making an appearance so I wouldn’t worry too much 😂

If the pains become more intense and more frequent ring triage but otherwise it’s probably just round ligament pain or BH.

Thank you!! I really hope the baby stays in there because I have nothing ready 😂

at least my pelvic pain is easing up. It definitely feels weird going to the toilet so often though, it’s so out of the ordinary for me.

mine! I thought it was my imagination but my boyfriend commented on it too!

I’m 30 weeks today and definitely getting stronger aches and pains but mainly all round the front. I have the opposite issue toilet wise. I think if you have bad back ache still tomorrow call in to check. Otherwise I assume you’ll have a midwife appointment this week anyway so you can get some reassurance!

I'd go to someone specialized in pelvic floor. My SIL had a very weak bladder and it seems to have eased a lot since she started pilates. I had tbe ocasional leak when sneezing or what not and now that's in the past with pilates as well.

Took your advice as the pain was becoming too much and now the urine shows I have an infection so they are given more some pain killers to see if they can help as so far it’s not working 🫠

I swear my stomach got hairier, the rest of me is okay (except my tina lol I haven’t seen her in months idk what’s going on down there) 😂 I’ll need to book myself in for a Hollywood wax now that my laser is growing back 🥲

my midwife appointment is the week after next, if the back ache gets worse I’ll give triage a call and ask them what I should do. I definitely feel more pressure down there though, I’m 30 weeks tomorrow! ☺

Your midwife can refer you to see a pelvic floor physio, the sooner the better. I have pre existing pelvic floor damage (3 under 4 isn’t a good idea guys 😅) and was seen within 2 weeks of referral at 9 weeks, I now have an open appointment system until up to 6 months post birth so it’s definitely worth speaking up on. Don’t just mention it in passing, outright ask for a referral x

I’m due in 4 days 😳 I am absolutely not ready but it’s one of those things where you never are really so best just get on with it!
Kids back to school tomorrow after 2.5 weeks off for Easter, then off to their dads for 3 days. Hopefully I’ll be able to get the house back in order and relax and fingers crossed she won’t keep us waiting for another week like all her brothers did 🙈

I had some nosebleeds during my pregnancy too, scary because I don’t think I’ve had one before, but apparently they're common
I’ve had nosebleeds in both of my pregnancies, this one much worse!

Ive got another growth scan next week and know they’re going to say he’s measuring big again. Just hoping they don’t try to push me to an induction - I’ve got an elective section booked for my due date and would rather go with that.

Hairy tummy is normal. It's hormones.
