Cucumber and eggs

Baby cucumber made an early and quick appearance last Thursday! I went into late prem labour (36 weeks) and had a beautiful baby boy. He has spent a few days in SCBU but we get to bring him home tomorrow! I can't wait!

My baby was born this morning! In the bath after a long latent phase then very quick active stage, midwives made it just in time and dad missed it by 10 minutes 🙈

Baby bubbles is here from emergency c section. We had a bit of a surprise - she is a girl, not a boy! We are beyond in love with her and because she is 35 weeks we need a few days in hospital.

Had my 12 week scan today, I was absolutely terrified as I had a period a few weeks ago where a lot of my symptoms seemed to have lessened (I even posted on here at the time), anyway... turns out I'm having twins 😅 twins don't run in either of our families so it's come as a complete shock 😂

My early scan has confirmed everything is in the right place, dates match up, with a heartbeat found too ❤

Baby skates number two is here safe. Quite a different elective section experience this time and I’m very sore but he’s just perfect.

MiniP#2 made a surprise arrival at 4.30am after my waters going waterfall movie style at 1am. 9lb 7oz so no wonder my spine gave up at 36 weeks 😩 he is lush though 🩵🩵🩵

Scan at EPU this morning. My baby measuring spot on as per last dates 6 weeks 1 day; saw the heartbeat and I cried. This is what we have been waiting for, for so long. 🩷

I’m over the moon, had a scan today and everything looking all good.
did the deed 19th February, I am 5 weeks 5 days pregnant today which is all adding up.
Just massive relief as I have PCOS. Went for a scan last week and there was nothing there, so time has really helped.
Sorry, just thought I’d share as I’m so excited I could burst xx

I had my 20 week scan today. You’ll remember I had a total meltdown over my 2 NHS 12 week scans because the sonographer was horrible and I ended up raising it as an informal complaint. I did know I would have a different sonographer as the horrible one doesn’t do 20 week scans, and my previous midwife (who herself has just gone on mat leave with baby number 2) said that this sonographer that does 20 week scans was amazing. She was soooo right. If there was ever an example of someone loving their job it was her. She asked my husband his name so she knew who she was talking with, asked me how the pregnancy was going and if I had any concerns. I said I wasn’t sure if I could feel any movements yet and she reassured me about that. She talked me through how the scan would be before we even started. She was so positive and happy and seemed so excited for MrDragName and I. When MrDragName joked that he could never tell what he was looking at she was really reassuring about it and explained how scanning worked etc. She went to great lengths to check I was comfortable during the scan even when she had to press and move about (compared with the 12 week horror who actually hurt me with her antics). I think navigating my extra bit of fat was a bit of a challenge but she said nothing and didn’t tut or fuss, just moved about and checked all the things she needed to. She confirmed what our private NIPT had told us, we’re having a boy ❤ (I did know the NIPT being wrong is basically not possible but I’d got it in my head she might be like ‘it’s a girl!’ Haha!). She tried all sorts but he took every opportunity possible to hide his face and she seemed genuinely a bit disappointed she hadn’t been able to get us a still shot where you could see him in profile, but she had been so thorough with all the checks I didn’t even mind. She got us a good snap of him all bundled up and funny one of him face on where he looks a bit like a ghost boy (we have a similar image from our private 12 week scan where he looks like a tiny demon). He got a clean bill of health, my placenta is posterior and out of the way of my cervix and the blood flow is healthy. His heartbeat is healthy and it was incredible to hear. If the worst had happened and she had seen something that was a concern, I feel really confident she would have been able to tell us in a very clear and gentle way where we would have known what was going on.

It was the absolute opposite of my 12 week scan experience and I’m so grateful for it. I did tell her she was amazing but I am equally going to raise it so her manager knows, because clearly the horrible sonographer could learn a HUGE amount from today’s one. It’s really put me at ease and made me excited for the second half of the pregnancy!

Tomorrow I’m back down to earth with a bump, though. Physio appointment for my nighttime weak and leaky bladder which I’m honestly just soooo embarrassed about. I am seriously impressed with the speed of the referral though, given how under pressure the NHS is. Hoping I might be able to squeeze in asking for some advice around my bad lower back as it’s going to become more challenging the more pregnant I get!

I am formula feeding (please don’t come for me 🫣) and haven’t got a chair as I’m hopefully baby girl will be sleeping through when she goes to her own room
We have a guest room where my husband can go to sleep if he is being woken up but luckily he is one of those people who doesn’t need much sleep so he will support with night feeds
Anyone that comes at you for formula feeding can take a long walk off of a short plank.

I’ve just found out I’m pregnant and I’m in complete shock. I have been trying to lose weight for fertility treatment so this has just come out of the blue. Praying that it sticks! Anyone got good recommendations for vitamins and anything I should be doing in general? I think I’m about 5 weeks. I have had late periods before but I realised it had been two years since I’d been this late and well three tests later and here we are…

What a 24 hours! I passed a clot last night and had some bleeding. As you can imagine was very worried and was given an early scan (7 weeks) this morning. The news I was given was the opposite of what we were expecting - pregnant with twins!!!

I think we’ve felt all the emotions today - incredibly grateful and relieved but also very overwhelmed. Any twin mama’s out there that could offer some advice?? Twins do not run in either of our families.

Hi 👋 I’m jumping in here. I’m currently 8wks 1day and my anxiety is through the roof. I went for a reassurance scan on Monday which measured me at 7wks 4 days, saw heartbeat etc so was absolutely over the moon. I’m struggling so much with panicking about eating the wrong thing, I’m googling everything and obsessing it’s such a lonely feeling because hardly anyone knows just now so I don’t have my friends who have had kids in the last few years to speak to as I’m scared to tell people in case I have to tell them something bad has happened. Was even wary to join on here but I just need to vent. I had a MC in 2023 and have just been unable to enjoy any of this first trimester.

The pram thing also never makes sense if you use the same pram for baby no.2 😁 it’s already in my house… I’m not going to remove it now🤣
