I only lurk here as I'm not pregnant, never likely to be again and am awaiting a grandchild but I love to read how all you ladies are getting on. And to read advice for if my daughter in law ever needs any. I hope you don't mind me posting and others have given you very sensible advice lovely but I couldn't read & then not post to you.I swear my stomach got hairier, the rest of me is okay (except my tina lol I haven’t seen her in months idk what’s going on down there)I’ll need to book myself in for a Hollywood wax now that my laser is growing back 🥲
my midwife appointment is the week after next, if the back ache gets worse I’ll give triage a call and ask them what I should do. I definitely feel more pressure down there though, I’m 30 weeks tomorrow!![]()
If your back pain gets any worse or you lose any mucous plug then please do go get checked asap. I had same symptoms as you 33 years ago, my community midwife fobbed me off saying it was a water infection, I didn't realise as a first time Mum but it was actually 'back labour" starting. Never had any tummy pain/tummy contractions the whole time at all, it was all in my back and my boy was born 4 days later at 32 weeks, emergency dash to hospital with 30 minutes to spare cos I'd believed the stupid midwife.
This is not meant to frighten/alarm you at all, but back labour is a thing, trust me. Don't leave it if you're not feeling right, like I did. My boy is now a strapping big lad by the way, despite his early start. Much love xx
