Does anyone have an advice for PGP well what I think is that?
I have a natural tilt to my pelvis and curve to my spine and I am in AGONY in my lower back
I have my second chiropractor tomorrow so I’m praying this helps 😭😭😭

Jesus what did you do to the owl!? We’ve had ours for 4 years and use it every single night and he’s still going strong 😂😂
My kid just never slept so it was on constantly because she’d scream the second it stopped 😂😂 he died a death many times so white noise app it is 😂

Have the baby 😐 it's the only thing that truly got rid of it for me.

Physio helped a bit temporarily and wearing the band kind of but it was more of a nuisance. It's awful

It’s actually horrendous and I’ve got a high pain threshold and been giving everyone the big I am saying how great I feel 😂😂
Praying tomorrow will help as I’m only 21 weeks so another 19 weeks I’m not sure I can cope

I was early enough when I felt it , I nearly started crying in the gym class as I was in agony and couldn't explain why. Luckily there was a midwife and gp in the class and they explained what the pain was.

While it's fresh on my mind, yoga/ stretching helped a little and going into a swimming pool was fab as it just lifted the pressure. It completely disappeared after I had baby it's horrible

If you find out pls let know. Been in agony since 19 weeks. Now 31 and having 2 chiropractor sessions a week and it's not helping. NHS have sent me some exercises to do and said if it's still a problem in 4 weeks to call them for an appointment. Absolutely pointless!

Sorry no advice but just wanted to reply and send you a virtual hug, because girl I am in excruciating pain too 😭 I can barely lift my leg to put on clothes, bending down for socks/shoes is out of the question, and sleep is a massive struggle…I’m 29 weeks, how much longer will this go on 😭

I go to an occupational therapist and I told her I was pregnant, she laughed in my face and said why do we do this to ourselves ( she had 4 kids) as I was there to align myself after pregnancy as id been in so much pain 🤭🤭

Any recommendations for maternity leggings? Not thin cheap ones though - more like the Gymshark, Tala, Bo and Tee sort of style as I don’t think they do them!

If in the UK make the use of a ‘baby wish list’ from Amazon too!! 15% off

I'm the same, scoliosis but it's the middle of my back that hurts. I have to say my first pregnancy was worse pain wise for me, this one it's almost spd I have, in-between my pelvis kind of thing. If I do too much it absolutely kills.

I have my anaesthetic review for birth on Monday (I'm 30w) .. make sure your midwife refers you if she hasn't already.. epidural and pain relief failed for me in first birth due to scoliosis

Telling my Mum I was pregnant was a great moment. Today we told her the sex of our baby. She was clearly disappointed 🤣🤣🤣. This is my mum all over, though. Shania’s ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ was basically written for her.

I’m not really upset because a)this is absolutely what she is like and b) I thought I would be disappointment because I always assumed I wanted a particular sex and our baby is the other sex, and whilst I’m not disappointed at all, I’m really excited and happy, I thought it would be something I’d struggle to come to terms with so I sort of get how she feels.

MrDragName seems a bit gutted but now he knows how my entire life of attempting to impress her and it totally falling flat have been for me 🤣

Okay turns out the pain is more than likely a pulled muscle not PGP and the chiropractor said she is adamant even if it’s PGP she can get this to go as it’s early enough so if anyone thinks they have pain please go to a pregnancy chiro!!

We had the same experience with my Mum as she thought I’d have a girl and I’d always spoken about wanting a girl. Currently pregnant with boy number two and genuinely so thrilled, but absolutely get how flat it can feel announcing a sex that’s the opposite to what everyone expects!

I was saying a boy throughout my whole pregnancy, I was convinced. Everyone around me was like wait now and it will be a girl , I was completely correct and named him the second I seen him, id picked his name before I met my husband 😍
My husband's brothers couldn't even hide their jealousy as they had two girls each , never had the son 😅

Is anyone else suffering with hayfever? My husband went to the pharmacy for me today but they said I’d need to make a GP appointment. NHS website though says Loratadine is ok to use during pregnancy. My docs is a nightmare for booking routine appointments so I’m tempted to just go ahead and buy the Loratadine.

Loratadine and ceritizine are pregnancy safe. Budesonide nasal sprays are safe as well.

Another night of poor sleep due to pain, praying it’s where the chiro was manipulating where she believes it’s a pulled muscle rather than anything else
Slightly concerned the pain reminds me of when I had a kidney infection so may see the doctor tomorrow to be sure
I don’t want to ring triage again as I feel they have more important ladies to help 🫣

I’m only 16 and a bit weeks but I’m being destroyed by nighttime bladder weakness and constipation. I’ve always been the kind to need to get up once in the night most nights for a wee but now it’s 3-4 times a night waking up absolutely desperate and sometimes having leaks. I have so long to go I’m worried I’m going to need some industrial strength tena lady come the third trimester. I do lots of kegels but I’m now seeing TikTok’s talking about how too many kegels can mess your bladder function up so I’m like 😳. I get super thirsty in the evenings no matter how much I drink in the day. I have one cup of caffeinated coffee in the morning, a very occasional daytime can of full large coke, otherwise I am on the fruity teas, water, squash etc. any tips?

Constipation is totally new to me. I used to have some sort of self-diagnosed IBS pre pregnancy which I think was a manifestation of my anxiety, so I’d have the runs every morning pretty much without fail. Now going to the toilet is a serious challenge. I never took the iron supplements I was given at the maternity unit because my iron levels were fine in my blood. I was taking the iron supplements I used to take pre-pregnancy which was the same stuff at a much lower dose but I stopped that over a week ago. I take magnesium 3 in 1 at night one of which is supposed to have a bit of a laxative effect. Nada. The internet says I should increase my fibre which I’ll try and to also increase my hydration. If I increase my hydration my bladder problems at night will get considerably worse and I’ll be forced to sleep on rubber sheets 🤣

I have a midwife appt this week and I’ll raise it but tbh she talks too fast and too furiously for me (which is really saying something) and bamboozled me last time. And my poor husband, who is from another part of the UK, struggles with everyone’s accents so just feels lost in the appointments! I’d prefer not to take ‘stuff’ although there will be pregnancy safe things I could take, but I am really struggling with this now and again, there’s a long way to go!

No no no, that’s what triage is for! You tell them how you’re feeling and they decide whether they should see you or not. That’s their job my lovely ❤ you might even be able to go to non-maternity triage to have your urine tested for an infection in case it is a kidney infection.
