I’d be mindful of the ones that attach if you end up having a C-section as you then can’t get out of the side of the bed. We’ve gone for the chico next to me as it can do both

They advise that they can go in their own room after 6 months and would then need a cot / bed. You can get them so they are a cot then it turns into a bed until they are around 4
The ones we’ve looked at can all do both - attach to the bed or be nearby, but hadn’t considered the effects of a c-section on these things so thank you!

I'm 23 weeks and high risk of pre eclampsia because of age and other factors. Thanks for sharing, I've been reading and it doesn't seem that unusual that everything looks fine and then boom.

Hope everything goes smoothly for you and your baby

Does anyone have an advice for PGP well what I think is that?
I have a natural tilt to my pelvis and curve to my spine and I am in AGONY in my lower back
I have my second chiropractor tomorrow so I’m praying this helps 😭😭😭
If you find out pls let know. Been in agony since 19 weeks. Now 31 and having 2 chiropractor sessions a week and it's not helping. NHS have sent me some exercises to do and said if it's still a problem in 4 weeks to call them for an appointment. Absolutely pointless!

I go to an occupational therapist and I told her I was pregnant, she laughed in my face and said why do we do this to ourselves ( she had 4 kids) as I was there to align myself after pregnancy as id been in so much pain 🤭🤭

Has anyone ever rented bits for their babies??? We’re looking at renting a double pram as I don’t think we’ll need to use it long, but my eldest will still need one for a few months I reckon and I don’t want to buy one as it seems like a waste. I can rent a bugaboo donkey for £65 a month for 3 months? 🤔

So I’m 36+1 and I tried to collect collostrum…guys it was a big fat fail 🤣 sat there for literally 40 mins massaging my boob, after a nice hot bath, lit a candle and everything. Not a single DROP. I wanted to cry 🤣

Do I just need to keep trying? Are my tits broken? 😢

Advice needed please… going on holiday end of June for 2 weeks (booked beforehand, not sure how pregnant me is going to cope with the heat 😂). I will be 17-19 weeks. Swimwear - do I buy the same size and hope it will stretch or do I size up or do I buy maternity sizing?
I went to Shein and got maternity swimwear as I got a swimming costume in a bigger size from Matalan and it doesn’t sit well so I thought I would get a couple of cheaper bits from Shein. I just went with my normal size and I’ve tried it all on and it seems like it would be flattering for smaller or bigger bumps.

I was checking and the spray I usually use (budenoside) is pregnancy safe as well.
The cauterize was because this was a problem even before pregnancy, and it was like snot and then blood that required a ball of cotton in my nose for it to stop.

Hi all, long time lurker on this thread but now I’m 37 weeks I’m trying to get last things sorted and have some questions popping up! Current one is - do you buy a mattress protector for your travel system bassinet?
We bought mattress protectors for our Snuzpod and our Moses basket, but just set our travel system up and realised the bassinet base isn’t waterproof (it’s like a cotton sheet over a sponge mattress).
Can any experienced mums advise whether we need one for the pram too? Surely nappy leaks/poonamis/sickness can happen in the pram too and I don’t want it ruined? Or could I add a puppy pad type thing under the sheet where the baby’s bum will go to prevent it getting to the mattress?
But the pram instruction manual says do not add any sheets or mattresses to the existing bassinet? Any advice would be appreciated!

At the airport, away on our ‘baby moon’ and the internet is very conflicted about DEET. It either says it’s fine and better than being bitten (I’ve had bites that have needed pharmacy cream before) or I shouldn’t use above 50% DEET.

Lower % DEET products are readily available where I’m going (which I usually avoid and go for the mega strength stuff to eliminate the possibility of being bitten). Just curious about the hive mind to this!

I've caught my Husband's cold. My bladder is not going to survive the coughing and sneezing. Am I allowed to do a murder?
Ohh I feel you on this one, I’ve had a cough and cold for 7 weeks now (I’m nearly 39 weeks). It’s awful! Unfortunately no, my bladder has not survived 🥴

I don't count calories, I eat as I feel like and try to keep healthy stuff around. I weigh myself a couple times a week.
My main concern is that I had a bad backpain couple years ago and was told exercise and drop weight to help. I only exercised, so I'm watching my weight mainly to keep my back as healthy as possible.

Has anyone got a low level placenta? I have been to the hospital twice this week with heavy bleeding (I have been bleeding on and off for 6 days daily but got a lot worse this morning). They think I could have a low level placenta but this needs to be checked at the 20 week scan which is next week. The Dr requested the scan be done today as I’m 19 + 6 but no availability. I’ve been told to take it easy until the scan and stop taking the aspirin I was told to take.

Does it still not quite compute for anyone that the kicks and rolls they feel is their child? I know I'm pregnant, I'm showing now (although still small), my colostrum has come in, I'm in the final stretch and yet still my brain doesn't seem to be connecting that is my child in there.
Yes! I’ve had this with all of mine, my brain just doesn’t seem to put together pregnant = baby. Even looking back at pregnancy photos and newborn pics etc I can’t compute that it was them in there
I’m 39 weeks and it’s not clicked yet and won’t until I’m holding a baby and I’ll be like..oh..it’s a baby 😅

Has anyone had a 4D scan and if so what week did you have this at?
First baby was 28 weeks and this was perfect. Current pregnancy we forgot to book it and did it at 31 weeks. This was a bit trickier as he’s a big baby anyway and we didn’t get as good pictures.

Finding sleeping really uncomfortable at the moment. I think I might be experiencing Braxton hicks in the night as I keep being woken up by my tummy going rock hard to the point it feels like it's going to explode and it keeps me awake until it goes softer again but don't have any pain. Has anyone else experienced this?
yes I had awful braxton hicks from about 28 weeks. Unfortunately the only thing which helped was giving birth 12 weeks later (sorry!!!) they do say ensuring you are hydrated and gentle exercise helps them and bouncing on my birthing ball did usually make them shorter but really I just put up with it 😩

Has anyone had a slightly elevated blood pressure reading in the first trimester and managed to bring it down to normal? I read that normally your BP is lower than normal in 1st trimester so I'm worried it's only going to get higher and higher and cause me loads of problems throughout this pregnancy. If anyone has managed to bring it down how did you and how long did it take? Thanks!
How many weeks are you lovely? And what are your BP readings? My BP was always higher than normal levels (hereditary anyway in my family) so I was monitored throughout, but then started showing signs of pre-eclampsia at 28 weeks so put on bed rest. Nothing I did brought it down.

Anyone else struggling with brushing their teeth at night? In the first tri it was doing my back teeth that would set me off retching and now I can do those but I struggle so much with my tongue. Then I retch so much I’m actually sick a bit - completely voiding the tooth brushing I just did 😂💀
